Despite having the correct password the app logged me out permanently and I was unable to reset the password. Come Monday I tried again and was successfully logged back in only to find all my progress had gone along with my rewards! I have 4 eggs left to collect! Contacted the developers through the report error ticket site immediately and heard nothing back.
