## What is The Bloodless Crown?

For eleven years you woke to the sound of your spouse breathing beside you. This morning the bed is cold, the linens smoothed — and the Crown of Valdris is dead.

You married into the throne. You have no blood claim, and half the court has never forgiven it. Now the seat is yours, and everyone who matters is deciding whether to kneel or to cut you down. Three great houses circle like wolves. A war-hungry kingdom to the north smells weakness. A maritime republic sends condolences carried by a spy. And the Archbishop has not yet agreed to set the crown on your head.

You have a castle, a grieving people, a fractured court — and whatever you made of yourself before any of this began.

Were you born noble, raised a soldier, schooled as a scholar, or built from a merchant's cunning? Eight stats and eight skills define what a watching court will let you attempt. Authority opens doors that diplomacy cannot. Spycraft hears what swordsmanship never will. Theology, medicine, siege-craft, courtly grace — each carves a path the others can't walk.

Your choices are remembered. Stats shift, alliances harden or break, and a decision made in your first week can save or doom you a season later. No two reigns are the same.
