App met my needs and worked well. New app, since change in March 2026, has many quirks and irritating features. Miss only app. ### 2/5 — Tough listen *2026-04-09* The old app had commercials ads but they consistently on the live show’s commercial breaks but now ads will interrupt in the middle of conversation on the live show and makes it frustrating to listen. ### 2/5 — Was excited, but has been a let down so far. *2026-04-02* App automatically starts out with ads so you don’t get right to the show. Also seems like it has issues loading when you press play, and stops play during the show multiple times while listening. When you hit play to try to get right back, you get another ad. Very frustrating. Will obviously still listen, but the old app was just fine at this point. Hopefully can get some bug fixes. ### 2/5 — Not like it used to be…. *2026-04-01* With the latest changes made to the app, you can hear a brief glimpse of an old song or bit start and then a LOT of commercials play!! I am a VIP subscriber and would like to hear the comedy content of the show not commercial advertising all the time. Also, hearing the past bits and songs IN THEIR ENTIRETY, would be nice for paying customers. I get so annoyed by how “woke” everything has to be and if the minimum age level needs changed to accommodate those of us that want to hear bits and songs in their entirety. Things have taken a downturn on the app and I think it could stand some improvements. In my opinion, it’s why we pay for the service!! Now it’s more of a best of commercials with some segments sprinkled in. It’s great if you love a geico commercial every 4 minutes. The live broadcast is still ok. ### 1/5 — Horrible *2025-05-31, version 4.3.6* Used to be really good. Now it’s constantly commercials even during the live show commercials will kick in. Completely unlistenable ### 1/5 — Ad overload *2025-04-05, version 4.3.6* The app used to be good but the switch from the iHeart system to TuneIn has ruined it. It gets stuck in ad after ad after ad then just stops playing. They also interrupt the best classic bits. When you restart it, you have to sit through 4-5 ads again. You almost never hear the show anymore. Please revert back to the old version. Also PLEASE play more older bits with Bob in the on the Best Of/weekends. ### 2/5 — Why does the app shut down? *2025-01-27, version 4.3.5* Ever since the latest update, the app frequently shuts down. It stops playing and/or the app actually closes. Adding that to the fact there are way too many commercials even when you pay for a VIP membership, not sure it’s worth it anymore. ### 1/5 — Bring back station finder *2025-01-15, version 4.3.5* You recently removed the ability to choose your local station. Please bring it back so I can listen in my own time zone. If the feed drops connection, you are forced to listen to yet more ads before it comes back, making you miss the show. I counted 7 ads in a row once without any of the show being played. I’ve had to switch to iHeart and Q95 a lot just to not miss anything due to ad interruptions. It also needs to add more classic bits such as Dick and Hadji, not play the same 10-15 tracks over and over. ### 1/5 — Dissatisfied *2026-05-11* I live and work in S Korea and the old app was fine. I can’t even get the new app to open, even if I use a VPN. ### 1/5 — Podcast playback skips *2026-05-07, version 5.0.1* Trying to listen to the free podcast of a prior show and it will “skip” and either replay a conversation that’s just happened or it will jump ahead to the middle of another conversation. It also did this when I paid for VIP and got those podcasts. This “upgrade” sucks and the old app and old VIP were MUCH better. ### 1/5 — Update is TERRIBLE *2026-04-02* I really prefer listening to the BOB & TOM show on the app, because I love that they play old bits during commercials. And I don’t particularly like the local rock station that BOB & TOM plays on. I don’t want to hear random rock songs mixed in with the show. So I’ve always really enjoyed the app. But the new app update is frankly just terrible. Commercials just keep popping in over top of the show! I’ll be listening to the show and interested in a story, and then a random ad pops in. And then the ad ends and it goes back to the show, but not where the show left off. Now I’ve missed 45 seconds of the show. It’s extremely infuriating. Now it seems you have to wait until the podcast, or recorded version is available to listen to commercial free version. Cancelled VIP membership because it’s no longer the experience I paid for and found out you do not get a refund for unused portion. I grew up listening to bob and Tom and was genuinely saddened when they were no longer on local radio.
