The interface is beautiful on both iPhone and iPad, the season organization is clean and easy to browse, and the amount of content is honestly staggering. You can tell an enormous amount of work went into preserving and cataloging decades of show. The bonus content, on-location collections, behind-the-scenes footage, and extended cuts are creative and genuinely fun. It feels thoughtfully curated instead of just dumped online. Streaming has been smooth for me with no issues so far. My only challenge has been finding very specific moments or character introductions, like Sheila’s first appearance. Still, this is one of the most impressive archive streaming apps I’ve seen for a legacy television series. The rivalry between Brooke, Stephanie, and Ridge was at its peak back then, and seeing it in such great quality brings back so many memories of why I started watching in the first place. The app is easy to use, the picture is clear, and having 39 years of history in my pocket is incredible. So now I downloaded the app and started watching from the very beginning of these shows. The only PROBLEM I have experienced is the background music is SO LOUD that I can barely make out the characters dialogue. It’s very frustrating and it’s annoying. I love that I can go back and watch everything from the beginning. However, the score often drowns out the dialogue almost entirely, and to make matters worse, the captions are weird. So if I turn down the volume so it’s not blasting me through the back wall, I can’t hear what’s being said, and if I turn on closed captions, I sort of get the gist of the conversation, but that it’s not right. My only critique is how loud the opening theme and end credits are compared to the rest of the show volume. Makes it annoying that I’m always having to adjust the volume. My only other gripe is that it logs out of my tv a lot too, unsure why. I love rewatching it again & remembering my favorite characters and their story lines. Watching Susan Flannery again is magical. Also Watching the Ridge and Brooke love story develop again is “unforgettable”. The best laughs are saved for the fashions, the BIG hair, the bigger shoulder pads, the land line telephones, huge computers , & all that letter writing!! This app has so many additional features and it is worth the cost. I did the year subscription for the best value.
