While I like a good challenge as much as the next person, spending several hours looking at a puzzle and trying one option after another—and meeting with one failure after another—is neither attractive nor entertaining. It just states the object of the game. I used to work for a major MMO game before this. The game never loads. When you launch the app and press Start on the main menu, it takes about 5-8 seconds for the game to register that you have pressed the button. Poor user experience #1, first impressions count the most. You get taken to a screen with some writing on it. Immediately, just as you read the first word, an advert pops up and interrupts you. The game hasn’t even started and already you’re bombarded with as ad. Poor user experience #2. Ads are important, but so are their placement. When you can finally skip the ad, you’re presented with a screen of writing to give a little backstory. This screen has three grammatical errors. Poor user experience #3. Spellcheck software costs nothing. The game never loads. There is a costume “loading” interface flashing at the bottom of the screen. Forever. Poor user experience #4. This is a new device. I use an unlimited, super-fast fibre optic internet connection. No other app I’ve tried lately has these issues.
