### 4/5 — Great game but extremely irritating glitches.

*2022-11-29, version 1.1*

Love the storyline! It definitely pulled me in and I could not stop playing! The controls are a bit off but I adapted. However, I literally fell through the floor and randomly ended up back in a previous part of the building. I took the time to get back to where the story was progressing. Then I got stuck in a spot I couldn’t move out of. I decided to restart the game and lost all my progress. Once again, I put in the effort to catch back up. I tried again, this time checking if I could manually save somehow or if I had to reach the next chapter, like a checkpoint. I made some decent progress considering I had mastered each puzzle from repeatedly completing them. But, of course, I got caught up in another glitch and crossed my fingers that my progression wasn’t wasted. Unfortunately upon restarting, I was back at the original checkpoint and I just turned it off. It really is fun to play! But to have to replay it over and over for a little more progress and only then to lose it all because of a game error…

### 3/5 — Fun with some issues

*2022-08-03, version 1.1*

A great narrative and immersive world. The controls and navigation, however, are what brought it to three stars for me. Often times I can’t figure out what to do, as the direction is so vague. “Find an ID” apparently meant “take a picture of a calendar.” I wouldn’t have known this unless I kept snapping pictures of everything I saw in multiple rooms.

Also, some items need to be placed in such specific spots that anything less than 100% accuracy doesn’t allow you to progress, which is frustrating. I’d recommend the game for the beginning parts but I have trouble getting much further, and don’t know if it’s worth it past that point.

### 4/5 — All these negative reviews are Ewing dramatic

*2022-06-27, version 1.1*

I really enjoyed this game, and I understand why people have been frustrated with the controls, but i still managed to play through everything and had a lot of fun! I played on an iPad, and i did end up changing the camera sensitivity in the settings, which allowed me to move around a lot more quickly. Could be improved though.

### 4/5 — Fairly decent work of Interactive Fiction

*2021-09-20, version 1.1*

Fans of Interactive Fiction will likely find this game enjoyable if the flaws can be overlooked. First the positives - good voice acting, the immersive 3D first person atmosphere, storyline, and puzzles are fairly fresh and unique. There’s really no way to die or lose, so puzzles and the story can be enjoyed at leisure. The negative is that the controls are sluggish, imprecise, and at times confusing. Overall I enjoyed this game when overlooking the flaws in the controls.

### 4/5 — Great story , 1 problem please fix ASAP

*2021-09-13, version 1.1*

It’s a great story , but 1 problem seems to be presenting itself and that every time I set the last mirror to hit the fuel cell or whatever it’s called with the blue laser the game without fail seems to crash and I have to start all over again! So far I haven’t been able to get past it. Fix it please I’d like to move on in the game!!
Other than that wish more thing laying around can be used and the it would be really great if you climb up and over things. I like the game it’s cool .

### 3/5 — Great game except the bugs

*2021-07-07, version 1.1*

I love this game. The puzzles are challenging enough that they keep me engaged. I like the storyline. It’s interesting having a guide as well as another person whose identity is a mystery guiding you through various challenges. All around, I like the concept. But there are so many bugs. I am currently unable to finish this game because there is a bug that prevents me from descending the ladder to the third module. Whenever I come to this particular part of the game which is nearly the end, the game freezes. I’ve restarted it like I’ve had to do in the past but that doesn’t seem to work here. A patch for this would be great!

### 4/5 — Loved it! Not perfect, but close.

*2021-03-22, version 1.1*

There wasn’t one obstacle I couldn’t eventually overcome, so the game IS playable. While a few updates are in order, this was truly exciting and fun!!!

I loved the adventure of the story (although I didn’t quite understand what was happening by the end) and all the puzzles. While looking/walking around was a slow task, I at least didn’t get nauseous by doing so. And while some directions could have been clearer in the totally unfamiliar landscape, some “screens” were blurry/hard-to-read, and occasionally I would get stuck or encounter a small bug (usually fixed by exiting and re-entering app), I overall loved the experience and wish there were WAY more games/chapters like this one.

### 3/5 — Great Story, But the Controls...

*2021-01-15, version 1.1*

The story is very interesting. Atmosphere and music beautiful. However, it is PAINFUL to try and lay down tracks or planks to cross with by the SMP. It’s awful. It ruins the fun in the game. I’m currently at the EVAC part and I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had to restart this level because of trying to get in the boat. It’s ridiculous. Come on guys - don’t make things so complex that it ruins the fun. There’s detailed and then there’s too detailed. Sense of direction is rough. Fix that, and you’ll get a higher rating.

### 3/5 — Really fun, but a bit jarring (check below for camera tip)

*2020-12-02, version 1.1*

The game is really fun, and the puzzles are unique. Sending pictures doesn’t really help as far as hints go, because unless it’s on a “key” item (posters, scenery, etc) she won’t say anything, or she’ll send a snarky remark. I feel it would be at least slightly better if you are idle for a while, she would send out a small hint on where to go.

Other than that, it’s just small things like the camera (your view) needing to be on a specific part of an object to zoom in on it/reclaim it.

For anyone wondering, you can fix the camera sensitivity/how fast it moves by going into settings and controls.

### 4/5 — Challenging game, story fell short

*2020-10-11, version 1.1*

I loved this game. I felt like it was challenging without being impossible. There were some bugs, but I found that if I just closed the game out and restarted it, things worked again. My gripe was with the story. The story was beautifully and intricately built up, and they include all this detail in emails and messages. I was expecting a final cut scene, some explanations, but the game just... ends.
I found that as much as I liked the game, I left it feeling annoyed and dissatisfied.

### 3/5 — Love the concept, needs major polishing (APPLE TV SPECIFIC)

*2020-09-18, version 1.1*

I have finally reached the end! This game has it’s fair share of bugs, from poor controller optimization to the gameplay itself, but it is definitely a worthwhile concept. I loved the puzzles and challenges. I got major Portal, Q.U.B.E. and Turing Test vibes throughout, puzzles and lore alike. Your partner in the game, Amber, can get pretty annoying very quickly. She often times offers up hints when you don’t want or need one, and there is no other way to turn this off other than turning off the volume of voiceovers. The picture-communication method is annoyingly particular when it comes to framing, making Amber even more snarky... BUT I would still suggest this game to anyone who adores games of this genre, you won’t be disappointed with the concept or mystery!

### 3/5 — Fun game, but 1 BIG gripe

*2020-07-02, version 1.1*

It’s an interesting game, reminds me a bit of portal. The puzzles are fun. I just have 1 gripe, and a big one at that. The lack of direction is horrendous. Example: near the beginning of the game you’re told to escape through the train station, but it’s locked down. You’re told to “find an alternate route.” How do you do this? You take a picture of a specific monitor on a wall filled with more monitors and the adjacent wall has a few monitors too. There’s no indication that this is what you’re supposed to do. Not only that, these monitors are somewhat blurry so you can’t exactly read what it says. Taking pictures of anything else will result in either saying “you can’t move through there” or telling you in various ways that she doesn’t know what you’re trying to show her and that she can’t help. The issue is that if you don’t take a picture of anything for a couple of minutes she’ll tell you to take a picture to ask for help, yet the only time you’ll get a real response from her is when you take a picture of where you’re actually supposed to take one in order to progress through the game.

### 3/5 — Interesting story and good performances

*2020-06-01, version 1.1*

The story is interesting. The actors handled the situation well. The artwork is spot on for a mode on underground secret corporation. This is grander storywise than Portal, with an original mechanic that also vaguely reminds me of Portal.

This might make a good first puzzle game for people unfamiliar with the genre. Downside is the controls are tricky to master and could have been done much better. The game guides the player step by step so it lacks freedom and an allowance for creative alternative solutions, but on the other hand the world here is gigantic so at least some constraints are necessary. There are some timed puzzles but they seem to be of no consequence for failure as the story must move forward no matter what.

Overall everything is contrived and manipulative to a fine degree. The final chapters crashed or froze constantly, or triggers for the next sequence would fail so I’d have to quit and restart from the last autosave.

The ending was very unsatisfactory because it left major questions unanswered. Did the team run out of ideas, time, or money?

### 4/5 — A quite engaging game

*2020-03-20, version 1.1*

The engagement of the game is amazing. You have no idea what is happening in the beginning, the same as the character you’re role playing. With the guidance from the AI and the female character, you started to understand what’s going on and what shall you do. The game started to show the charming after the new employee training. It’s really fun and need some thinking.

I love the narrative of the game being told by the people via the phone and the funny dialog. The way for the game to provide hint is also one of a kind, it feels really nature and helpful.

There’re a couple drawbacks are pretty critical. The FPS is really unstable even on my 11 inch iPad Pro. In the beginning sequence, I guess it’s only ~ 20 FPS. I can’t image how bad it can be on lower end devices. Another is there’s no visual hint or anything even for the beginner. I ended up walk back and force on the same floor to find out the clues. Especially in the early day that you’re not yet get used to send photos to that female character for help. That last one is control, besides on typo for which Xbox controller button to do what, the accuracy of placing objects in the game is a nightmare as well. Somethings it feels really frustrating especially in tight rooms.

All things considered, this is still a really engaging game with great story telling. It’s worth your time playing as long as your device is good enough.

### 3/5 — I love the game.... but

*2020-02-17, version 1.1*

So I’ve noticed some bugs like after crouching the controls wouldn’t work etc but a quick close out and reopen would solve that one. Now I’ve gotten to the medical wing and something is wrong. The girl won’t talk to me anymore, when I send photos it says delivered but stays on the screen and she doesn’t reply like it didn’t actually go through, the elevator won’t work, and there is no other way out of the medical wing. I’ve been through every room in the wing, top to bottom, multiple times and there’s no way out other than the elevator. The first time the elevator shut behind me l, wouldn’t open, wouldn’t activate, and I was just stuck in there. So I closed the game, opened it, and tried again. Now the doors remain open but it still will not activate. I’d love to keep playing the game but there’s no where to go from here.

### 3/5 — Great plot and idea but the controls are lacking

*2020-02-15, version 1.1*

3 stars for the story. I would have really liked to keep playing this game because it seemed like a great story but fighting with the controls just made my head hurt and I couldn’t do it. Making the controls the same to span the camera and to move forward was not a good call. Great story, though. Just make it easier to navigate. Also including a map or at least a compass would be useful as the game is not pleasurable to navigate as it is. Hope you guys can fix the controls because this game would’ve been great.

### 3/5 — Great writing and voice acting, but that’s it

*2019-12-15, version 1.1*

The highlight of the game is your companion, Amber, who is a voice in your ear throughout the game. Her character is well written and acted. However, the story, gameplay and puzzles don’t hold up. The game does not run very well on an iPhone, but does an ok job considering this is a full game. The puzzles are somewhat difficult, but usually for the wrong reasons unfortunately (bugs, not sure what you’re supposed to do, missed a key piece of dialogue, overlooked an item, etc.). I had to look up a few things but I never felt enlightened by the solutions, just kind of like “oh, ok, I guess.”

### 3/5 — Fun, but no save.

*2019-12-13, version 1.1*

Unless you have the time to play this game from start to finish, be ready to replay the same areas. Multiple times I stopped playing and tried to pause, minimize, or fully quit the game with the expectation to start again at that progress point. I even played longer until a “major” completion of a puzzle occurred before stopping. In ALL cases I have had to restart minutes backwards into the game, find substance again, reread books, and complete the same puzzle. Fix this please, it’s annoying.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Cannot be finished on iPhone/iPad w/o controller

*2022-05-15, version 1.1*

Because the head and foot movements have to be controlled independently unless you are extremely good at this type of dual movement the last chapter of game cannot be complete. The game was designed for Xbox with game console where head and feet/forward momentum automatically track together, but when you have to do both separately it takes a lot more time. The final chapter has some tasks that are time intensive and are meant to be challenging with a controller, without one it is utterly impossible. And definitely was not taken into consideration when retooled for Apple Arcade; extremely frustrating and annoying!

### 1/5 — I want to fire a laser into my phone.

*2020-06-30, version 1.1*

I’ve officially rage quit right at the end of the game. I’ve held firm thoughout this this is likely a 3-star game due to the frustrating controls and also the other characters cheery demeanor takes me out of the story.

But this final mirror puzzle has me so angry. I’ve been resetting mirrors for 30 minutes now because the laser keeps hitting the scaffolding mirror just about 3 inches high sending the beam off into the distance at a 45 degree angle rather than the 90 degree angle I need to move on. It’s bad design when you know how to complete a puzzle the puzzle itself is so frustratingly designed that you’re just unable to do it. I’ve watched videos online and I’m triple checking that I’m setting it just like others who have completed. Still it’s hitting the mirror too high. The game is officially not with the frustration so I’m done I’m out. I hate this game.

### 1/5 — Eh.

*2019-10-19, version 1.0*

This game has potential but feels unfinished. Horrible controls with camera panning so slow you forget what you’re panning to by the time it gets there. The “helper” asks for pictures of where you are because “she wants to help” but pretty much any time you send one, she makes some snarky comment about it being a nice picture but she doesn’t know what you need help with. The only time she does have any advice is when you already know what to do. This game also has a lot of dead ends which makes it unnecessarily difficult to get to the puzzles. That combined with the slow, awkward panning makes moving around something to dread rather than a chance to explore. That part isn’t fun at all. More than once, I had to fight the urge to just close the game out of boredom or disgust at having to wait another 10 full seconds for the camera to pan over an area of 180 degrees. Laborious is probably the best description I could give. Until this is fixed, it’s a no from me dawg.

### 2/5 — Couldn’t Get Past The First 2 Minutes

*2022-05-12, version 1.1*

While the story and gameplay REALLY look like something I would definitely be into, the bugs killed it for me. I genuinely hope they go through the entire thing, fix all of it and then re-release it.

I’m not sure about anyone else’s experience but for me, after the first initial opening scene there’s a staircase you need to walk up - probably 2 or so minutes into the game, while you’re trying to reach the “North Hall Emergency Exit.” I just kept walking right *through* the staircase, like a ghost. Obviously not supposed to happen. And thus I couldn’t move forward in the game at all. 😑

It’s really a shame because the storyline and voice acting, everything looked great. Oh well.

### 2/5 — Bugs in what seems to be a great game

*2020-03-30, version 1.1*

Playing on iPhone 8. Loved playing through the first part of the game. But eventually ran into bugs that affected my controller and supplies. And from the start had a hard time reading anything on the screen—posters, notes, screens.

Spoilers

As soon as I get to Dr. C’s office, I look around for a bit before my camera goes crazy and I virtually lost control. Also lose all my blueprints and substance at this point. And, I had assumed this was intentional, but all the posters and letters and notes (like the contract in the beginning or the letter on Dr C’s desk or the security warning on her tablet screen ) are virtually illegible on my iPhone screen. Blurry to the point that I didn’t even think was supposed to be able to read them! (Until the prompts in dr. C’s office made it pretty clear that I should.) Disappointed that I have to give up the game so early on.

### 2/5 — Story's great but...

*2020-02-24, version 1.1*

Let's start with controls. (I played on a tablet) You move very slowly. Well... you walk slow yes but looking around is more of a labor then a simple look. Imagine if, instead of turning your head, you had to turn your whole body and you're in a wheelchair.

Now, I encountered what I'm certain is a huge bug. Oh yeah uh... spoilers. During the last mirror puzzle on the third cell, I got the laser to the mirror that points it up through the scaffolding, but it wouldn't reflect. None of the mirrors you can place direct light up, so I was stuck. I tried soft resetting, then hard resetting, I even tried uninstalling and reinstalling, and it still wouldn't reflect the laser. I can't finish the game and I'm literally so close. 😭😭

Another thing that might be nit-picky is reclaimable objects. They blend in with the environment and if you don't already know what you're looking for, you can wander around for a long time. Your only indication is the reticule changing, but that's delayed so you can gloss right over important things. I think a simple bright colored outline would do, or maybe a shiny effect (similar to the bradwellium) applied to it.

Basically, the only thing that kept me going through the game was the story, but I can't even do that so.... there's no point. Save yourself the disappointment and don't bother. It's more worth your effort to watch someone else play it online.

### 2/5 — Huge potential, but bugs ruin the experience

*2020-02-23, version 1.1*

It’s taken me 2+ days for what should be a 3 hr game because of the difficulty I’ve had with bugs. I really want to get through it, because the storyline is interesting and the voice acting is really great. About every 10 minutes I have to completely restart the game because it will freeze if you take a picture, crouch or interact with an item at the wrong second. Of course restarting the game means having to restart whatever puzzle you are on, which may include having to backtrack to find more substance. There is no in game help, which is also disappointing since half the time the gameplay is jammed up with frozen dialog. It’s sad. I really really want to love this game and could forgive screwy camera angles or other minor issues, but I’m not sure I can even finish it at this point. BTW I’m playing on a 7plus with the latest iOS.

### 2/5 — Great plot, world design, an va... but a buggy mess.

*2019-11-19, version 1.0*

Really liked the story aspect of this game and it was really the only thing that kept me going. This game is so incredibly buggy. Frequent crashes right after completing levels, getting stuck on invisible walls, and the classic fall through the map. Controls should be basic, but panning is slow no matter how high you set the sensitivity. And when I tried with a controller it was the walking speed that became slow. So I ended up playing with a combination of the two. On the one hand I really want to give the developer of the game credit for the great story, but it’s hard to do when they can’t be bothered to patch the large amount of bugs in their game. Would easily have been a 5 out of 5 if it weren’t for the slogfest it became after the bugs reared their ugly head.

### 2/5 — Bugs

*2019-10-31, version 1.0*

While I'm sure this game would run much better on a computer, the controls for mobile made it feel slow and tedious. You can run pretty quickly, but you look around painfully slow. Lots of bugs throughout the game also caused me to have to restart sections of the story multiple times. The story line was also really predictable. Moments that were intended to be climactic were pretty disappointing. Even the ending was a bit of a let down. Some of the puzzles were also insanely difficult at times because they were too vague and buggy. A frustrating waste of time.

### 2/5 — Potential... But Bugs Galore!

*2019-10-12, version 1.0*

Game could be good and the parts that I’ve been able to play have been enjoyable, but so many bugs make this game virtually unplayable after a certain point. Countless times I’ve had to quit the game, restart from a previous save point, only to have to repeat the same bugs time and time again until one time it lets you progress to the next bug. Thankfully Apple Arcade has other games that I can play for my money so I’ll have to choose a less buggy game so I’m not constantly frustrated by this rushed to be released game.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Can’t find third algae pod

*2023-08-15*

This game started out really fun and exciting, but now I’m stuck on the part where I have to put in the algae pods in the circles. I can print in two of them, but not the third one. But then for some reason I can only print the third one in the maintenance area, even though apparently I didn’t have the third one when trying to print it in the circle. I don’t know if this is a bug, or if I have to find the third algae pod somewhere (even though I have looked everywhere), it’s really annoying either way 😑
UPDATE: turns out I just had to put them in in a different order, really wish I found that out sooner

### 5/5 — One of my favorites!

*2022-05-10, version 1.1*

I keep coming back to this game because I love escaping into this environment that has been masterfully created. I love exploring all the details and appreciate the immense effort that went into the production of this game. The story is great and keeps me on my toes. The controls are easy to use and quick to master. It was a pleasure figuring out these puzzles and a pleasure returning to them again and again.

### 5/5 — Lots of fun!

*2022-02-08, version 1.1*

I enjoyed this game. The plot kept me captivated and I was honestly disappointed when the game ended. I could have kept playing for many more hours of game play.

I did get stuck a few times, falling into a position that I could not move, such as when going down a flight of stairs, my screen froze. When I closed the game and reopened it I was submitted to directly after the last completed task/beginning of task that I was working on when the screen froze. I did not lose anything crucial at the resetting of game play.

I hope more games like this are created.

### 5/5 — Best experience ever

*2020-12-30, version 1.1*

‼️➡️READ BOOK TO SAVE PROGRESS⬅️‼️The puzzles at the start of the game made sense perfect sense when the ground fell and I went to train station I was lost and it wanted me to find lift status I found it but I took a picture of the wrong screen so here I am wasting time (it’s my fault) so I Think about it again then I scan all the screens eventually I go downstairs and to the employee she says get an ID so I get and ID she gets me a guide and smp and brrrrrrr a few moments later...
I was stuck in the celebration room stairs boom the plank thing and bam I’m on the green part
You need take photo door she close it and walk and then I’m all like how do I get the curve price man and then I’m at small core and then big and then huge and then substance core and bing bang boom game over I win

### 5/5 — Engaging puzzles, great story, beautiful world building

*2020-08-07, version 1.1*

I really enjoyed this game - played bouncing between my Apple TV at home and iPad on the go. I didn’t have any of the issues with bugs that others described although the game was a bit less smooth on the Apple TV.

I loved the second half in particular, as I felt the puzzles were more engrossing as the game went on. The world building was really strong from the beginning and I was also sucked in by the emails, voicemails, and other storytelling elements. This game is a great example of why I love Apple Arcade - I’d have never picked up a game like this before but I’m so glad I did. I’d love to see more near-console or console level games on Arcade in the future.

### 5/5 — Underrated

*2020-05-17, version 1.1*

Would love to see more games of this type on arcade! I loved getting to explore a new world while solving puzzles along the way. I will admit that at times I had some serious concerns that the game was broken, especially towards the end. I read buggy reviews about this game before I downloaded, so when I couldn’t move past a certain puzzle I thought that perhaps it was the game and not my lack of puzzle expertise. But sure enough, I beat the game with basically no issues that other players mentioned. Would only improve the controls, they are a bit jerky but other than that awesome game *5/5

**Tip: When you get to the mirrors if the light dips into the ground the puzzle can’t be completed, don’t waste your time like I did trying to reflect a light that was vaguely there, just raise the light**

### 5/5 — Really enjoying this one!

*2019-11-12, version 1.0*

Just finished the Bradwell Conspiracy. I have to say that I really enjoyed this. The story is very well done. Graphics are a bit lackluster, but it’s all part of the aesthetic. And the voice acting and plot more than makes up for it. I experienced some bugs just like the other reviewers, but it didn’t really hamper gameplay. If you like this kind of puzzle adventure game, you’ll definitely enjoy this.

### 5/5 — Wow Just Wow, Portal with a better story.

*2019-10-11, version 1.0*

Just so impressed with creators spending time on objects you may or may not ever see. It feels open and less constrictive that other games while keeping you on track. One tip I’ll give you that is not a spoiler is towards the end, you have two different types of mirrors. This stumped me trying to rotate the wrong mirrors. Be prepared for a long game play that is fresh and just hard enough to make it interesting. I feel like this game really showcases what an iPhone can do.

### 5/5 — I love this game

*2019-10-10, version 1.0*

I’m honestly more disappointed with the bad reviews for this game. I absolutely love this game, and it doesn’t deserve and overall 3.2 star rating. I admit there are problems like the graphics and saving can be confusing. But, the puzzles are really fun and although I’ll be searching for a while for substance, it’s a really amazing feeling when I finally find it, and probably my favorite part, the voice acting is AMMAZING and the way they set up your character, I actually felt like I was the character or I kinda felt like I actually knew and was really talking with Amber. And the sense of mystery is amazing, I really hope the developers make more games like this and can work out the kinks. But none the less I love this game and it’s definitely in my top 5 list of Apple Arcade.

### 5/5 — Wonderful Game

*2019-10-09, version 1.0*

I thoroughly enjoyed this game. There is definitely things that could be improved like the overall controls were a bit difficult, but it is still an amazing game. I am a little confused by the ending, but it leaves me to think about it and I like games that make you think after you’re done playing them. I liked the interactive puzzle aspect of the game. It was very different from other puzzle games I’ve previously played and overall I think was a satisfying experience.
