Would hate to have to create a whole new event just to correct the date and customize the photo. There’s no option to bulk invite members. There’s no option to set a reminder for the events added on the calendar. The calendar doesn’t even have a specific or color to indicate the dates where there are events. The preview of events, shows the event date as the day before. For example I added a calendar event for 3/5, but the preview shows 3/4. The app has potential, but needs to work! ### 3/5 — Great potential *2022-02-03* I had the app for a few months and it has GREAT potential. Like if they can make it more user friendly and not crash so much this could be a #1 wedding app. It was working great and then one day it wouldn’t let me send messages or create messages with my bridesmaids. The app wouldn’t load at all and then eventually I became frustrated and deleted it. I tried to re download it and now I cannot get back in my account. Like I said great potential! Keep working on the app on the back end cause brides need this! ### 2/5 — Incompleted App *2021-01-28* There are no to very limited vendors to shop from. The ones listed are no where near you or relevant. The app doesn’t even allow you to add vendors of your choice. The only thing you can do with this app is schedule tasks/events, chat, and add your bridal party. **Developer response:** Hey Tian45! Appreciate the feedback!! You’re right that our growing vendor community is lacking but that’s why we do allow you to add vendors! Then on the planning progress setting within the event. There you can select the categories you require for the event, and you can add a custom vendor! It worked when I first downloaded it… then it stopped working and I read the reviews saying “just sign out and sign back in” I did that and it worked…had to do it again and now I can’t get back in… I’m so glad I didn’t put a lot of stuff in the notes. I propose to my bridesmaid this month and wanted to use the app for communication…sounded good I guess. ### 1/5 — Turned out terrible *2024-08-17* Started out okay, put all our notes in and had our group chats…& now nothing but errors. It needs to be better backed, more ways to re add information or change the pics and information without creating a new event or chat. When you’re the “bride or groom” admin profiles can easily edit the wedding party details. (Date, title, date, delete, etc.) You should try the new engaged app as many of these issues have been addressed and better planning tools! ### 1/5 — Never worked *2023-04-09* Don’t bother! ### 1/5 — Just frustrated… *2022-08-07* I was so excited to use this app to help communicating with our wedding party, who are spread across the country. However, after continually trying to update and not getting past 87%, now I keep seeing error messages each time I try to open it. I can’t even see my wedding party or notes I wrote previously. I emailed for support once but it is still not working. There really isn’t anything comparable so I hope the developers dig in and make it great. With so much exposure and various articles highlighting how great it is, I wish it worked like suggested. :( **Developer response:** Hi BrandNewKindaKi, thanks for your response and we appreciate you reaching out to us so we could assist you through the issue. If you’re expediting no data when you’re logged in, please log out and back in to see your notes, etc. What’s happening is the update is installing, which is why there is a delay at 87%, phone RAM and memory can sometimes slow this down. We’re looking to release another update to avoid that issue some users are experiencing. ### 1/5 — HORRIBLE. *2022-07-10* I was SUPER excited to use this! It has awesome features & it was a cute way for me & my 12 bridesmaids to communicate during the planning process of the wedding. After a few weeks of using the app, it stayed on updating at 87%. It has been this was for MONTHS. I now have to find an alternative way to communicate with my bridesmaids after almost practically begging them to hurry up & sign on so we could get started. The downfall of this app has set our planning process back. I’ve reached out SEVERAL times to the creators on Instagram & have complained more times than I count. You can do more just googling things yourself and bookmarking the websites. There are thousands of Vendors in hundreds of cities in the US alone. There isn’t a single flower vendor listed for the city I searched for. In 2 years, you could’ve added a vendor or two to every city in the US. Finding a photographer, catering and DJ all in one placed, seriously get down time planning the perfect day. My girls loved using it and look forward to using it for their weddings too. ### 5/5 — Can't say enough about this app *2020-08-17* First of all I can't say enough about this app. They just released a new update and oh my wow is it amazing! It has honestly changed the entire platform. So much easier to mange and send and see pictures. It even add events to your calendar for you and whoever you invite to the event! You can create lists, make check lists, to do lists and more. You can also make separate chats. So I have a chat for dress info, a chat for shoe info, reception info, bachelorette party info, hair and makeup info. You can have chats with specific people (like if you want to share a to do list with a specific person or my sister had a private chat for my bachelorette party that didn't include me) It just keeps all the information in one place and organized into sections so you don't have to spend your time digging through a text chain to find answers to your questions. I am a huge fan of the app, especially after the update. I also cannot talk enough about how amazing the customer service is. On the day my bridesmaids were supposed to be ordering dresses I was locked out of the app and the customer service rep immediately responded to the issue and worked with me for over an hour straight until the issue was resolved. I highly recommend if you are looking for a way to keep everything straight during wedding planning! And it helps keep your bridesmaids on the same page! ### 5/5 — Update on app issue *2020-08-14, version 4.2.5* Couldn’t get the app to invite my groom. Developer quickly responded to my review, researched and fixed the issue. Looking forward to this wedding tool. ### 5/5 — The Bridesmaids App Is Genius! *2020-02-12, version 3.0.10* I have had this app for several weeks and it’s been so helpful to have since not all my bridesmaids use Facebook I finally have a space we can’t chat about the wedding and organize our progress. The app itself is genius and I cannot believe it hasn’t been already done. Brides want to stay organized and in control of their progress, and bridesmaids usually ask a lot of questions and want updates along the way. This app lets us feel special and connected since it is wedding themed! A couple things that could help the app for the future updates 1. In group messages it would be helpful to see the names displayed when someone makes a comment for without a display picture it is unknown as to who is commenting. 2. When creating a Note it would be helpful if we could format the text with bullet points, bold or italic settings and a few options for fonts to keep it looking neat and easy to read 3. Also Notes at this time only allow for 1 active blue link at a time, so if I try to make a vendors list with all their websites only 1 link is clickable at this time 4. When sending photos in the group chats the quality of the image is greatly reduced causing it to look blurry — higher quality pictures could allow brides to send photos of dresses, flowers, decor etc for their wedding party to see But all in all the app is amazing and I know that with these updates over time the Bridesmaid App will be a huge success! P.S. a month ago I had an issue with my account when I tried to invite one of my bridesmaids to use the app, and the developers not only fixed it in a day, they corresponded with me via text and email to help resolve the problem. That is excellent customer service in my book, and as a bride I had to look after one less stressful thing! Thank you! ### 5/5 — Big improvements! *2019-05-11, version 2.1* Updated review: with the improvements below the app works MUCH better now. It can be a bit slow to load but I really like the app now and highly recommend it! The app is a great idea but you can’t edit your wedding party name once you choose it. You also can’t connect to the groomsmen app, can’t use emojis, and it randomly deleted half my chats. I look forward to seeing these updates. ### 3/5 — Not Bad, Could Use Some Updates *2024-01-23* I absolutely love the idea of this app and I’m currently using it to stay organized with my brides maids since not everyone has social media and it’s been okay so far! I have a few things I wish they would update: - Titles and Cuztomization: the bride should be able to update the profiles for the wedding party aka adding photos and changing the titles to include Matron of Honor as well as Mother of the Bride instead of only having “maid of honor” and “relative” as options. I also would like to be able to delete “invited” under pending especially if it was a duplicate invitation. It will just sit there under pending and it drives me crazy. - Professional Punctuation: maybe it’s just me but it drives me absolutely insane that they don’t capitalize any of the titles or anything it feels very unprofessional - Notifications: it would be nice to get a notification when someone accepts their invite and creates their profile.
