## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Horrible service

*2026-04-08, version 319.21*

Farmed out service

### 1/5 — App pretty terrible on iPad mini

*2024-02-17, version 209.3*

Recent “updates” have made this app much worse on my iPad mini. It makes me log out and back in daily because I’ve read all my free stories for the month. I’m a subscriber! It still acts like I’m logged in, yet gives me this message and hides content. Today, the “pages” function in the eEdition won’t display. It randomly refreshes the eEdition and shrinks what I was reading. Swiping pages is harder than on the old app. When I click to open a story, graphics may block part of the article. I must close the app daily or it freezes (maybe the last update fixed this, but now I’m trained to close it). It sometimes won’t open a story from eEdition by tapping it.

### 1/5 — Crosswords

*2023-09-29, version 206.2*

So disappointed. Can’t print the puzzles on the new version. They come out too blurry to read.

### 1/5 — Updated app is horrible!

*2023-09-28, version 206.2*

What happened to “index” feature allowing to highlight and read the article? Now I have to resize the page, move around to read, total pain.

### 2/5 — Meh

*2024-03-18, version 210.2*

As of 5/2021, the updates they’ve made to their site have made it harder to use the app. I pay each month to access the Bulletin on-line, and am getting ready to cancel my subscription altogether, just because of their recent updates. Can no longer use “markup” with my Apple Pencil to fill out the daily crossword (so have to waste paper daily), whereas before the updates it was such a nice thing to be able to do. It randomly asks us to sign back in, and no matter how many times you enter the info correctly, it rejects your login. Just bad coding, sloppy programming and little testing. Seriously?

### 2/5 — Ridiculous need to re-enter user name & password

*2021-05-28, version 3.2.64*

While once into the app, no issues, but the nearly every other day requirement is bizarre, unlike any other media subscription we are active in, and annoying entirely. The app also seems to block computer auto-loading this information.

### 3/5 — Like the digital version better!

*2021-12-18, version 3.5.06*

I was tires of searching for the paper every morning ……sometimes it didn’t arrive! So I called to cancel totally and learned I could have the digital for much less , with a free print edition on Sunday. So, I will try this! Last Sunday, the paper didn’t arrive till after 2 pm….if it continues like that, I will eventually cancel totally and relay on my local apps for local news and BBC and Al Jazeera for international
News. We lived in 7 countries and the latter 2 apps are the only way I can learn what is going on there!

It is icy here in wintry Central Oregon and I am over 80 and scared of falling while I search for paper! Digital is better although I like all the Sunday Crosswords!

### 3/5 — Sign in

*2021-05-25, version 3.2.64*

I constantly have to sign in with acct and password..2or 3 times a week. What gives

### 3/5 — What happened to the share button?

*2021-03-08, version 3.2.57*

Overall, it’s a great app despite the occasional glitches in the text version of articles. What irks me, though, is the elimination of the Share button some time ago. I used to be able to send articles or copy them for myself, but despite the Help article instructing me to hit the Share button, I’d love to if it were still there. Bring it back, please.

### 3/5 — Review

*2021-01-06, version 3.2.57*

I appreciate the newspaper being on line. And that the ability or teck improvement of the form allows this 80 yr old man to — each time you make an another step forward ..... makes it easier for me to use this form. I taught school in Tumalo for 30 years . Love my community, I am conservative voting for both democratic and Republican local and national leaders. I like the facts written- not slanted right or left due to the majority of political parties made up by residents . I believe in socialism and have seen it work in Canada when I retired and my wife and I were on a 2 yr service mission in the ghetto of Winnipeg, Canada on behalf of the Mormon Church. We taught English as 2nd language to immigrants . We also taught free organ and piano lessons. All done in the Cultural tradition at our own expense. We also have organized and lead A.A. Groups in Bend, Redmond, Prineville and Madras. We are so sad to serve extremists who are politically right or left invade all levels of society and organizations in Central Oregon. We moved here in 1967. Bend was homogenous due to being a mill small town . Yet we like the rest of American were open and tolerating of all social differences. Let our newspaper give the facts and encourage us to serve one another . Dennis Heap
