## What is The Catholic Audio Bible?

The Catholic Audio Bible brings the Douay-Rheims — the Catholic Church's traditional English translation of Sacred Scripture — to life in narrated audio, so you can listen to the entire Bible the way it was heard for centuries: read aloud.

Full access to this app requires a $0.99 USD/month auto-renewing subscription, with your first month free. Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at the confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime in your Apple ID Account Settings. Any unused portion of a free trial period will be forfeited if you purchase a subscription during the trial.

First translated by English Catholic scholars in exile — the New Testament at Rheims in 1582, the Old Testament at Douay in 1609 and 1610 — and later revised by Bishop Richard Challoner in the mid-1700s, the Douay-Rheims has been the Bible entrusted to English-speaking Catholics for over four hundred years. This app brings that same translation to your ears, narrated in full, from Genesis to the Apocalypse.

Listen your way:

The complete Old and New Testament, narrated in full
Adjustable playback speed, from 0.75x to 2x
Download chapters for offline listening, anywhere
Background and lock-screen playback, so Scripture can accompany your day
A calm, distraction-free design, built for listening rather than scrolling

No ads. No account required. No noise. Just Sacred Scripture, faithfully narrated, with nothing standing between you and the Word of God.

Whether you're deepening a daily prayer life, praying with Scripture during a commute, or simply want to hear the Bible read aloud in the Church's own words, The Catholic Audio Bible is built to help Scripture become part of your day.
