It is very challenging. I had an update so I did it but now it’s freezing constantly ### 4/5 — Good,but need subtitles *2026-04-11, version 1.12.1* That’s a nice game, But I think that for the game to become more popular in non-English speaking countries, I think subtitles are necessary, because there are some sentences I honestly can't translate. ### 4/5 — Too bad I’m not British… *2026-03-29* I have been playing this game for a couple of months and am enjoying it. My biggest complaint is that a LOT of questions are very British oriented! A lot of sports questions about soccer and cricket, British geography, and British history. Maybe these are things I would know if I grew up and were educated in the U.K. but it just feels unfair. I have read other reviews and others have complained about this as well, but the response always seems to be that these questions have somehow slipped through and should not have been included, but that doesn’t stop these questions from ruining the game. I don’t want to have to guess at who won a British soccer league championship in 1965 anymore please! ### 4/5 — Interesting ideas *2025-11-28* Always been fascinated with The Chase World Tour, for the past two years, since it’s one of my favorite trivia shows on television, or in the world. When it comes to playing this app, there should be a way to increase the amount of Gold to buy (instead of 1,200 Gold at $9.99, why not 2,000 at $9.99), as well as have a set of choices for how much amount of Energy to buy, as well, rather than either 200x or 1,000x. Just an idea. ### 4/5 — Spending too much energy *2025-10-10* I know several people have made this complaint and I’m gonna reiterate it. It is a little ridiculous to spend 50 energy to play the final Chase a second time if you lose the first. But then bumping it from 50 to 100 for the third time if you lose the second chase that’s highway robbery. Energy does not come very often unless it’s 15 minutes each.. The amount of energy to play the final Chase needs to stay at 20 for all three or however, many times you lose the final chase going from 20 to 50 is bad but going from 50 to 100 is extremely unbelievable.. You don’t even get your rewards from battle mode. Anymore. This needs to be fixed immediately. I love playing the game, but if I’m not gonna get my rewards from it, it feels useless to play this needs to be fixed immediately. The good stuff is: I watch this game show all the time and I absolutely love it. | I’m actually learning a lot from this game because it generates unlimited questions of all topics of trivia. | I absolutely love the cases, milestones and all that. | The bad stuff is, IM LITERALLY PLAYING AGAINST A COMPUTER WHOSE IQ IS NOTHING LIKE THE CHASERS IN REAL LIFE!!! WHAT ARE YOU GONNA DO ABOUT THAT HUH???! | Also, why not make a Croatian Chaser case (like the USA, UK and Australia) that gives pieces of all Croatian chasers, not just the Undertaker. If you’re not gonna do that, why not just remove Croatian chasers completely from this app especially since they don’t speak English in real life. | Chase win rate doesn’t matter as long as the player’s good so why not just take that out, and the amount of games played against the chasers too? | Also please change the music & audio to the USA 2021 ABC version, not the music & audios in the UK . Much new content is planned though! ### 3/5 — Too many ads!!! *2025-03-29* The game is fun but there are 30 second ads between EVERY round. In 10 rounds I lose 5 minutes of my life that I don’t get back. I’d keep playing for 5 seconds ads but I’ve burned after 2 weeks. **Developer response:** Thank you for the feedback. It should be possible to skip any ad you don't chose to watch after a few seconds. Also, you can remove these ads by making any real money purchase. ### 4/5 — Final Chase balancing add Goliath from Australia *2025-03-27* The game is great. I’ve loved it since it first came out. However, the final chase needs to be more balanced. There’s a lot of times where the chasers will answer questions one after another repeatedly and then all of a sudden they start missing questions one after another for a short period of time before they get back on track again which causes you to lose the final chase when you’re down to the wire. Not only is that very unfair, but that’s very frustrating. Also lower the amount of energy it cost to play the final chase after losing to the previous one that is a ridiculous amount of energy to waste for the final chase, especially when it jumps from 20 to 50 and then 50 to 100 if you lose once and then twice. That needs to be fixed immediately. I also like that they have the smiling assassin and the super nerd from Australia, but you’re missing Goliath. Plays smooth, lots of rewards, and ads are only as frequent as you win, or choose to watch for energy to play. The amount of British questions is frustrating, and cost that 5th star. My only question is because I did not get him the first time. I wonder when the sinner man will be available. to try to open his cases again I did not get him the first time. Been playing it since it came out. I’m so addicted to it. The only thing is I wish that the chasers would actually speak or talk to you instead of just a still image of them but other than that the game is great. One other nitpick I would say is that fix the problem with the final chase button you have to tap the button several times to activate the final chase and get it started any of the other buttons. You only have to push once. Please fix this issue of only having to push the final chase button wants to be able to start it not pushing it several times. **Developer response:** Thank you for the feedback. We're planning to tweak the difficulty of The Final Chase in the next major update, which should help. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Pay to play *2025-05-15* Won’t even get into the look feel and play of the game since after about 10-15 minutes of the initial stages once in the tutorial you can no longer play unless you wait a long or start spending money. Don’t bother. I wish it weren’t so. Love the show, I was hoping to like it. Not possible when you can’t play much without paying. **Developer response:** We're sorry you feel that way. It is possible to earn Energy by watching ads instead of paying if you wish. The game also drops 25 Energy for you twice every day. ### 1/5 — Mandatory loot box opening *2024-10-29, version 1.6.2* Game won’t let me proceed without opening a loot box. Opening the game opens me into the loot box interface and won’t let me proceed further. I dislike mandatory UX flows and just wanted to disable notifications. Since I can’t reach the main screen, I’ve deleted the game. ### 1/5 — Bad update *2024-06-28, version 1.5.0* Today’s update has made progress unbelievably slow. Very difficult to earn player XP, chaser XP, and case coins compared to yesterday. Energy makes it feel like a standard microtransaction heavy mobile game. The option to pay was always there, just never too badly in my face. American players will be reduced to guessing most of the time. ### 2/5 — Not even like the real chase Game Show app *2026-01-17, version 1.11.2* I’m a big fan of the regular chase ultimate but I can’t even play this app because it uses gold every single time And gameshow network got rid of their American version and buying the chase powerpoint s names by credit card. ### 2/5 — Eurocentric and poorly designed *2025-07-14, version 1.9.0* The amount of questions about rugby, cricket, polo, and other nonsense is unbelievable. This has nothing to do with the TV show that aired in the United States. It is all about some poorly educated Europeans making as much money as they can. ### 2/5 — Mid game for non-UK players *2025-01-07* It was an alright game to watch on TV but the app is definitely a money-grab (which is what I wanted to avoid when playing a game).) And if you’re not from the UK or Europe you’ll have more than the intended amount of difficulty answering questions as most of them are related to things specific to British culture. I’ve never seen a cricket game in my entire life but I’m supposed to know who led some team back in 1964? Once you unlock most/all of the regular characters you’ll just be competing for “pieces” to unlock cases to give you more “pieces” for characters you’ve already leveled up to the max. Their new battle feature worked well at the start but then they intentionally made the computer players assisting you take longer than 5 seconds to answer questions so now unless you’re answering all the questions yourself you’ll lose. What’s the point of using the computer players on your team if they’re useless? Also, every time you reach a new city it costs you exponentially more in game money to buy the cases they sell in the store. This leaves you to play more “chases” which uses more “energy” and since you don’t get enough to play 5 games in a day (to complete your daily goals) you need to spend real money to buy energy. Like I said, it’s a money grab. I communicated with the game developers about my multiple concerns. They responded by offering me an insultingly low amount of game energy credits and assured me of changes they’d be implementing “soon”. Well, not soon enough. 2/5 stars. **Developer response:** Thank you for the feedback. Questions that are country specific shouldn't appear in other territories, we're sorry if some haven't been correctly flagged. We do offer a finder fee for anyone that lets us know a problem with a specific question. The next update will have some significant changes to Battle Mode to better balance the difficulty. The game should give you plenty of Energy to let you complete all your daily goals for free. The only exception would be if you don't collect all the free Energy or choose to play with a X50 Multiplier. If that's not the case, please let us know so we can investigate. We have many new features in the pipeline, including five new Chasers coming to the game from next month, which should make collecting Pieces more rewarding again. We hope you decide to give it another go and keep giving us feedback so that we can make the game the best it can be. ### 2/5 — I just want a simple game *2024-03-10, version 1.3.2* I didn’t come here to level up, collect, or whatever added game mechanics they put in here. I just want to play a full game of “The Chase” and it randomly picks whatever Chaser like the TV show does. THE CHASE gives me all that and more in spades. I have barely been able to put it down since I got it. Don’t let the multiple choice format fool you - you’ll get questions that you might see on any international version of the show (depending on your Chaser). I’ve noticed that when I swipe up to pause the game, the timer still runs during the Cash Builder and Final Chase. I’ve been playing this game in the U.S version for almost a year now!
