My only complaint is I wish you could enlarge the pictures when you tap on them to see them closer. The budgeting feature makes it nice so there isn’t overspending while out during the holiday rush. At one point they had an option to mark when a recipient was complete. It helped me manage gift giving and budget for my very large extended family. Now, they have renamed the version I had as “lite” and made me pay again for a “full” version which is not as good as the original. NOT COOL. To make matters worse, they took away form of the features I liked about the original. -Now you have to re-type store names over and over again -The dial/menu that remembers past entries is gone -in an effort to use useless pie charts, it actually removed some functions that let me look at projected budget vs amount spent, including per person. -I used to save my Christmas lists from year to year. All that data is gone. -Once you enter a gift for a person, you can not delete that gift if you change your mind. It will remain in that person’s list, including impacting the budget calculation, unless you switch the status to “idea”. This is odd and annoying. -When I try to enter info for gifts similar to ones already on the list, it waits until I finish typing all the info and try to save it, then gives me a message “gift with this name already exists” then deletes the new entry. Very annoying. I thought I was doing the app developer a solid by paying for what I thought would be an updated and improved version of an app I’ve used for several Christmas seasons. I wish I had NOT bothered. The current version is awful compared to the pre-2017 versions. I think the reason it has 4 and 1/2 stars is because of old ratings from people like me who liked the ease and convenience of the old app. Don’t buy this app! Look for a better app; use Numbers spreadsheets; notes, or regular old paper and a calculator. ### 1/5 — Password function not working *2016-11-14* Hi I purchased this app as it said it had the password function as my children use my phone and I don't won't them looking at what I plan to buy them. The password only works after turning phone off completely. Once you put the password in once and then leave the app the password is then not required when returning to the app soon after so I am unable to use this app as it is pointless to use if you need to completely turn your phone off and on each time you want to use the app. If you do not power off you phone after using it once it is then NOT password protected. Very disappointed in spending money on this app! ### 2/5 — Sadly, the app has not progressed *2024-12-12, version 2.0* Whenever I use this app, I become extremely frustrated. It seems as if it hasn’t changed in any valuable way in several years at least not significantly since I’ve purchased it. It desperately needs a function that allows you to show which people are completed. If you have a long list of people that you are trying to shop for, you find yourself struggling to remember who is done and who is not, which leads to purchasing more than you need unless you keep going back and checking oh they’re done. I’m currently looking for another solution. ### 3/5 — Giving it a 3-1/2 Star *2025-12-16* Ideally, this does everything I need it to do- track gifts per person, including whether you need to buy it, have bought it, etc. And it helps you track your spending which is great. All of that works exactly as it should without being complicated. Now here’s my issues with it- I want the ability to rearrange the gifts I’ve purchased for a person into whatever order I want. Or at least be able to alphabetize the list. That’s my biggest complaint. My next biggest complaint- if I’m looking through the gift list of my son (for example) and I need to click on a gift to verify whatever, when I click the back button, one would think it would take me back to the last page that I was on. It does not. It takes me to the list of gifts, not even the list of people which doesn’t make sense to me. I’ve backed it up, uninstalled the app, re-installed and yet I still have this problem.
