## What is The Coastal Girls Collective?

The Coastal Girls Collective is a private, approved community for women in the South Bay who want to meet people in real life. We believe the best friendships start with shared experiences — not endless swiping. Whether you’re new to the area, working from home, or just ready to expand your circle, this is where coastal women connect.

Every new member completes a short onboarding profile and submits for approval. Once approved, you can browse events, join groups, chat with other members, and post your own meetups.

EVENTS
This is your home for everything happening nearby. Browse local events like beach walks, yoga meetups, book clubs, hikes, film nights, and more. Filter by category or neighborhood to find what fits your schedule. Tap any event to see the full details — cover photo, date, time, location, description, and who’s already going. Tap a series card to see all upcoming dates for recurring events like our monthly book club or weekly Strand walks. When you RSVP, you’ll unlock the event-specific chat so you can connect with attendees before you meet.

COMMUNITY
Discover groups built around the things you love. Join circles like The Strand Girls, Mind & Body Club, Film & Friends, and more. Each group is a space to find people who share your interests and stay in the loop on related events. Group chats are open to members so you can talk plans, share recommendations, and get to know each other.

CHAT
Keep your conversations in one place. You’ll find your group chats here, plus a dedicated chat for every event you RSVP to. That means event-specific threads stay separate from general group chatter — so you never miss the details that matter.

Want to host something? Anyone can post an event. Tap to create a new event, pick a category (like fitness, books, film, or outdoors), set the date and time, choose a neighborhood, add a description, and set a capacity limit if you want. You can also set up recurring events — perfect for a monthly book club or a weekly walk. Once posted, members can find it in Events, RSVP, and start chatting about it.

Built for real connection We keep the space intentional and safe with a member approval queue, report and block tools, and admin moderation. No public feeds, no random messages — just local women showing up for the things they enjoy.
