It’s as if the pop ups are affecting the loading. Often just hangs ### 2/5 — Poor Standard *2026-08-04, version 9.15.3* I have been reading the CM all my adult life but have just had enough! The stories are all negative and you publish rubbish comments. You say they are being edited but obviously not when you see the poor spelling et. Also negativity is taking over our world. When will the fix it? ### 1/5 — Comments issue *2025-12-17, version 9.11.9* The issue around comments has still not been corrected on this app ### 1/5 — Unable to make or like comments *2025-12-16, version 9.11.9* Since the last update, each time I open the app, I am able to read the paper, so that proves I have a current subscription, but it will not allow me to like or make comments. I get an error message stating that only premium users can. But if I log out and then back in, within the app, it corrects the fault. Spent sometime chatting with a Tech support person, he gave up and said he would have to send it to the Team. I won't hold my breath, I doubt there is a Team. As I suspected, nothing has been done to resolve the issue. So I have cancelled my subscription. Awful app ### 1/5 — TIME TO SAY GOODBYE *2026-07-03, version 9.15.2* First they removed the comics, then they became an activist publication solely for the benefit of the SE corner of this great state at the expense of the Qld regions, and now they have completely ruined the puzzle section. The demographic keeping you afloat are paying for digital that requires upgrades for devices we cannot access. The recent price increase will be the end of CM . It expects the reader to stick to reading the news in one go, because if you so much as open another app, it will close the newspaper and require you to restart the process. This juvenile approach to navigation is a misfit in today’s multitasking world. The app creators are lazily milking the CM subscriber who is forced to use it as there are no other alternatives! I have waited 2 days and am still yet to be able to call them during working hours to unsubscribe DO NOT SUBSCRIBE IF YOU INTEND TO UNSUBSCRIBE ### 1/5 — It’s rubbish! *2026-05-08, version 9.13.4* I haven’t been able to get my recent Comments “My Activity” for SEVEN MONTHS, despite following all your advice and keeping the App version updated. Seriously thinking of stopping my subscription. And much of the journalism is rubbish. Employ journalists with experience and a proper education. ### 1/5 — Riddled with glitches *2026-04-18, version 9.13.2* Deleted it and stopped my subscription. Continually stops sound on Apple Music with pop up ads. keeps logging me out and there’s a pop up about viewing recipe’s that’s stuck on the home page. ### 1/5 — Problems. *2026-03-26, version 9.13.2* Whatever you’ve done with the embedded video is hopeless. Continually opening up a black screen as I scroll through on my iPad. A very frustrating experience. My subscription is at risk if this doesn’t get fixed. ### 1/5 — Super annoying. I like the puzzles as much as the news… the most recent crossword puzzle is actually decent to use, and i like the other new puzzles too. Nice to see a more modern appearance for the news items. ### 5/5 — The courier mail *2026-06-09, version 9.13.0* I am disgusted that I can no longer use the Courier Mail on my iPad because it is now does not have the capacity for this app. There is nothing wrong with my iPad and now that in retirement I am expected to buy a new iPad for no real reason. What a waste of money and resources. No real words to describe this idiocy. They are timely and unobtrusive. The news is far better than the rubbish on the free to air TV channels. I can read the articles I want and ignore those in which I am not interested. ### 3/5 — Used to be good - Now not so much *2026-07-04, version 9.15.2* Recently the quality of games has become unreliable ( Sat 4/7/26 Chasers puzzle simply not there for example). Plus the number of articles that obviously no one proofreads is a definite sign of dumbing down of journalists. ### 3/5 — Reset *2026-01-22, version 9.11.10* Please stop the App returning to the top of the feed after reading any article down in the feed. Awkward. ### 3/5 — Dark Mode *2024-12-18, version 9.7.4* Not a bad app, has gotten better over the years. One massive very simple feature it lacks is a dark mode or night mode. If you open the app to read the news in bed first thing in the morning your eyes scolded with bright white light. I do the crosswords daily and the latest updates have superimposed the clues over the crossword blank so you cannot fill out. I love the Courier Mail crossword.
