### 4/5 — Good but……

*2026-04-03, version 4.4.1*

It was an AMAZING app then they ruined it a wile ago one major this is they made it lock horizontally (Among others but this is my main pet-peev) for example when Im chilling on the couch I can’t get my phone to stay that way on my lap without sliding off, which takes away all the convince of a mobile app. I’d rather use my laptop and bring a big ahh charger.

### 4/5 — App

*2026-01-23, version 4.4.1*

Hey great app but would be cool if i could have it horizontal too so i can keep it on my iPad stand, thank You.

### 4/5 — Great overall

*2025-09-17, version 4.4*

This app is really great, it works well except for the “generate new scramble” by swiping in the cube layout, where after doing it a couple of times it messes up the timer start, which has to be pressed twice to work. It’s really annoying when trying to do casual solves without the timer. Maybe that could be a feature in itself: timerless mode

### 4/5 — Ok

*2025-08-19, version 4.3.4*

As a person who is trying to learn 4LLL I cannot shake the fact that you do not have 4LLL on the free version of practice and learn so please make 4LLL free for learning otherwise This app is great

### 5/5 — 9/10 Would Recommend

*2025-08-13, version 4.3.4*

this app is AMAZING it works super well too the only reason it’s not 10/10 is because it doesn’t have 3x3 OH

### 5/5 — Just a few problems but AMAZING

*2025-07-17*

So when you go in to practice it shows you notations so you can get to the case but there is no way to get back so you are stuck on the screen that shows you how to solve it

### 4/5 — Great, but one problem

*2025-06-24, version 4.3.4*

Haven’t used the app, but did download it. It looks great, but I need to import my data from other timers.

### 5/5 — Great app overall, but I have some questions/ideas for the developer

*2025-06-16*

This is an excellent app overall, there are so many events that you can choose to time yourself on. Also, there are many algorithms on the free version of this app, which is also very useful. This is probably by far my favorite cubing app. |Questions for Developer| 1) The Pro version takes away ads, and it says it will also unlock thousands of algorithms. What are these algorithms for? Are they for different events? If so, can you list them? 2) (Suggestions) Maybe you could add more Roux algorithms? Once again, I am not sure what the Pro version unlocks, so I apologize if It is already there. 3) Maybe you could add algorithms for different events (Advanced Square-1, Skewb, Pyraminx, Megaminx?)

**Developer response:** Hi! Thanks for the kind words about my app. The pro version unlocks everything that was locked behind a ”upgrade to pro” alert in the free version. It only unlocks what is already visible (but locked) in the free version. I do plan to add more algorithms for different events as soon as possible!

### 4/5 — Nice

*2025-05-18, version 4.3.4*

Its a good app. Can learn algs and can be used for solve times as well. Learnt most algs with this app. I recommend

### 5/5 — Great app

*2025-04-16*

Love this app, I’ve recorded over 200 hours on this app and had no problems. The only thing I wish is that you could add a clock scrambler, other that that not being there it’s a great, I would 100% recommend this to anybody that enjoys cubing

### 5/5 — Sehr geile App! Danke!!!

*2025-04-15*

Geil!!

### 5/5 — Muy buena aplicación

*2025-02-25, version 4.3.4*

Tiene todos los algoritmos que debería saber y categoriza en niveles de experiencia. Hace mucho tiempo resolvía el cubo de Rubik y por eso descargué esta app. Muy útil y estoy pensando en comprar la versión Pro. Muchas gracias.

### 5/5 — Make it so that you can change algorithms to what you want

*2025-02-10, version 4.3.4*

App is great but that is the only issue

### 3/5 — Good app, but one key feature isn’t working right now

*2025-01-23, version 4.3.4*

In the learn section at the bottom, the photos for the case you get isn’t loading for me. Just the algorithm.

### 5/5 — Very Helpfull App

*2025-01-04*

I used the App manny times, the Timer and everything is Great. But Me and Many of my Cuber Friends would be very happy, if we could usw. the App in the landsape Format.

Would be very nice if there would be a landscape format one time

**Developer response:** Thanks for the feedback! I agree that it would be nice. The only problem is that I would have to redesign the whole app and I don’t know if that’s worth it. But thanks for the idea and I will think about for a while

### 5/5 — Great app

*2024-12-30*

Honestly it’s a great app this is really going to help my cubing journey but I know it’s only 3 dollars but I wish it didn’t have a premium so that all cubers can access it. Overall though I can access it and I can’t wait to use it this is kinda off subject. lol good job.

### 5/5 — Great app but can be better a little

*2024-12-23*

I generally don’t have a problem with this app it’s really nice and smooth but I suggest if you can and want to add a typing mode because I normally time my self on a stackmat timer to solve my 2x2-4x4 and other cubes so I can just type my time but otherwise that this is a great app!!

**Developer response:** You can enter times manually! Just swipe down with two fingers in the timer to type in a solve. Thanks for the kind words!

### 5/5 — wow

*2024-12-13*

Ive been cubing for a few years now,i’m about 20 seconds and this app is awesome. it has everything i need including a duolingo type learning experience, although the alg you are learning doesn’t automatically update like it says, overall the is awesome. LOOKING FORWARD TO NEW UODATES!

**Developer response:** Thank you for the feedback! Will look into the thing with automatic updates. Could be a bug

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — absolutely horrible app

*2026-02-24, version 4.4.1*

this app doesn’t stop the timer after tapping the screen and i’ve gotten zero good scrambles from it. i get a bad one every now and then but it’s every single scramble

### 1/5 — Why ads

*2025-02-27, version 4.3.4*

Why are there adds on a cubing app?

### 1/5 — Bad

*2024-08-14, version 4.3.4*

Nothing works and the app doesn’t load half of the time.

### 1/5 — Many wrong algorithms

*2024-06-06, version 4.1.1*

Moderately useful, but many wrong algorithms

### 1/5 — Too much ads

*2023-02-06, version 3.1*

Literally every two minutes there’s an ad gets annoying:/

### 1/5 — Session change

*2022-10-24, version 3.1*

I practiced 2x2 on this app, and got a sub one second single. I made a new session for 3x3, and now it will not give me back my 2x2 time! That was the best time I will get in a while. I am very disappointed because I thought that this app was perfect, and then it just deleted all of my 2x2 times.

### 1/5 — Timing is terrible

*2022-06-12, version 3.1*

Every few days decided to delete the full history of my solves and “create new session” which makes no sense. I want to keep a history of my solves separate. I don’t know how they could royally mess up something so simple

### 1/5 — Times are broken

*2021-09-13, version 3.1*

When I switch to a different session and do a solve it mixes all your of other session times together, I really don’t recommend this app for timing your solves unless you only have one cube

### 1/5 — Wrong alg names.

*2019-08-29, version 2.1*

CMLL Algs matchup with picture but are split up incorrectly according to the O or U Algs.

### 1/5 — Wrong Algs

*2017-09-11, version 1.3.2*

I checked the winter variation Algs and the algorithms were not matched with the correct picture. Please fix this.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Really good app

*2026-06-04*

I can’t believe this is free it is way easier to manage than cs timer, and I love how it gives an average of a certain amount of solves. In less that an hour I went from averaging 13+ on 2x2 to sub-10. The only thing wrong about it is I doesn’t have notation for cubes like the skewb, pyraminx, and other cubes like that. But I love the alg of the day, it’s actually really good.

P.S, I think for beginners you should show that white is on top and green is in front for scrambles.

### 5/5 — The best alg trainer on the App Store, but not perfect

*2026-06-02*

There are plenty of great alg trainers on the web browser, but not on iOS. This is the best option I’ve found so far

If you use a different alg than recommended for a particular set, you can update it to your preference, and rotate the example image if you start with a different orientation. The app is smart enough to use the updated alg in is trainer, so the provided training scrambles are correct. This is awesome, it’s just as powerful as GAN’s trainer, way less janky, and it provides scrambles for you.

There are some improvements I’d love to see:
- Allow users to add multiple algs per case, so we can train different AUFs or different orientations
- Allow users to add their own cases full-stop. These wouldn’t have images, but it would still be better than nothing
- Add edge stickers to the PLL example images, to make recognition easier (bars vs headlights)
- More training options, like tracking times and solves. So users can be presented with their worst cases more often
- allow users to create training sets. So I can pick 10 algs to focus on for the day. Let users pick from any of the provided algs, not just one set at a time
- way harder, but smart cube integration would be great

### 5/5 — The best app for speedcubers

*2026-02-07*

I have tried each and every app on Rubik’s cubes, and this is by far the best one. The timer is awesome and tailored for Speedcubing, but my favorite part is the algorithm sets in this app. I appreciate how easy it is to find what you are looking for, and that the sequences are trustworthy. Additionally, having control of customizing sequences, adding notes, and many settings, adds a fine touch to this app. I’d like to thank the developer for including the free version of this app, and allowing it to be very similar to premium. I have only one suggestion: Keep adding more ideas for solving Rubik’s cubes! I’m looking forward to all of the future updates, bug fixes or otherwise!

### 5/5 — Great overall, but needs some things

*2026-01-18*

The app is one of the best alg and timing apps. However, the graph gets hard to see after you do solves. I think that adding Ao5 and Ao12 and/or a zoom feature would make it 5 stars and maybe the best cube timing apps out there.

### 5/5 — My rating (2)

*2025-12-02, version 4.4.1*

Hi, when adding a solve manually, there’s no option to view or enter the scramble. The app shows a scramble only when using the built-in timer, but not when manually adding a time. I use a physical timer, so I need to see the scramble on the screen and then enter my result afterward.
Could you please add a feature that lets users manually input times directly at the scramble screen?

This would make it easier for users who solve with an external timer.
Thank you!

### 5/5 — Amazing!!!!!

*2025-11-18, version 4.4.1*

This app is incredible! I bought the pro upgrade for this app, and it is 100% worth the price. Amazing product. I needed an app that would help with the F2L method. This is a number 1 tool for it. I am speechless for how amazing this app is. Amazing job creator!

### 5/5 — Espectacular

*2025-11-14, version 4.4.1*

Todos los cuberos la necesitan, no se porque no tiene apoyo y el creador un genio, si quieres mejor as en la app le escribes y lo añade

### 5/5 — Perfect

*2025-11-08, version 4.4.1*

Truely great app. Has everything a cuber would need.

### 5/5 — Great

*2025-10-16, version 4.4.1*

This is an amazing app for somebody who doesn’t want to buy a real timer and write down all the stuff. It shows you all of your averages, and has really great stuff overall.

### 5/5 — Great app

*2025-09-12*

Very nice app, I learned all the 3x3 OLL and PLL thanks to this app. One piece of a feedback: for the 3x3 PLL, please update the images to show side patters instead of (or in addition to) the arrows. Because the recognition is usually based on finding the headlights and bars on the last layer skirt.
