### 4/5 — Curio Society

*2016-06-11, version 1.0.0*

Overall, I liked the game. The story was kind of lame. However, the puzzles were fun. The coin room was a plus because the rewards were completely different than normal, and I did like the story that went with them.

### 4/5 — The Curio Society: Eclipse over Mesina by LynxMinx

Dracyy, did you forget to mention the RAT on the little train? Remember forewarned is forearmed!
Note to KimTwilight: I just got a lovely email from the powers that be at Five BN Uk! They will be bringing out that new New York Mysteries game for iPad soon, and I also tried to convince them that we need more from them, and how much we love their games, so we'll see what happens!
Anyway, I loved this game! You could customize settings. The storyline was interesting. The graphics were bright and beautiful, first in Mesina and then in Egypt. The cut-scenes were literally electrifying. There were a lot of locations, and loading wasn't instantaneous but it was still quick. There was an excellent, and marked if so customized, teleport map to take you there. Inventory was labeled and there were plus items to assemble. Collectibles were limited to gargoyles and coins to furnish a relic room. The diary consisted of a dossier and notes but it was still easy to follow the story. You had neat gadgets to work with: an energy ball named Harry, a gargoyle blasting gun, and a suitcase in which you put evidence. You then solve a mini-game and receive a photo. When you match the photo to the location it reveals an item you need to progress. There was a lot of fun things to do, like making potions, helping others and fixing equipment. The HO scenes were varied, and you also had the option of playing match-3 instead. There were a lot of puzzles; most were rotational but there were others that were different and interesting. This game flowed very well and ran smoothly. Just don't click on that stupid round orange thing! The only reason I am deducting a star is for length; even with the bonus chapter I wish the game had been a bit longer! In any event this was a terrific game by Domini! I definitely would play a sequel.
Dream Team Elite, in the 4 years since I started the team, this genre has come a long way. It is so much more sophisticated now! I have been told by some BigFish execs that WE have a lot to do with it, and we must keep reviewing well! At first so many gamers debased us verbally and now they realize all the good things we have done. Our next goal is to get BigFish to insist on better quality assurance from the developers (especially since we no longer get free trials); why should people pay and be unable to play due to a fatal flaw? The other thing is that we need more than one new game a week! There are many developers out there so let BigFish give us more!
Everybody keep up the great work! To all reviewers: the better you review and the more thoroughly, the better this genre gets! I send mad props to KimTwilight for her fantastic, articulate reviews! I know more people are buying these games because of you!
Lynxie sends ❤️💋😘 to everybody who loves this genre as much as I do!

### 4/5 — Four Thumbs Up!

*2016-06-09, version 1.0.0*

See Sunshinesusie review.

### 4/5 — Good game

*2016-06-09, version 1.0.0*

I had no problems with the game. No orange pop up. Enjoyed it but I have to agree it is a little to short but still worth getting.

### 4/5 — Orange pop up

*2016-06-08, version 1.0.0*

Fortunately I have never seen the pop up. I m playing on my IPad. They must have fixed it. So far I love the game.

### 4/5 — WARNING DO NOT CLICK ON ORANGE POPUP

*2016-06-08, version 1.0.0*

Popup issue seems to be fixed so as promised I'm changing my review. If you still see it click X upper right corner. Others have beautifully reviewed this game so I will keep it brief. No vermin, minus 1 star for shortness of game and loading screen between every scene.

### 4/5 — A Little Curiosity for the Curio Society

*2016-06-07, version 1.0.0*

First, I agree that you should NOT click the orange pop up. Just close it. This game, by Domini, casts you as a new investigator for the Curio Society. As part of your initiation, you are sent to a city where mad scientists have set the gargoyles free. Since gargoyles are destroying the city, you must search for them and use your mirror-powered gargoyle gun. You also have an ally who is a ball of pure energy at your disposal. I have not discovered collectibles other than coins and the stone gargoyles. Hidden objects were easy, and the mechanical puzzles seem typical. I liked the hot air balloon puzzle where you must fill in constellations with lightning bugs to progress. A cute idea! I like the colorful art work. You find notes as you go along, rather than a diary. Enjoy your gargoyle vacation!

### 4/5 — Good game

*2016-06-07, version 1.0.0*

Well so far the game has a fun story line, great graphics and it's fun. I have no idea what's going on with that weird large orange pop up when you enter the main menu screen. It's obnoxious so hoping it gets removed with an update. Otherwise it's worth a sale price to purchase.

### 4/5 — What a "Total 'Eclipse' of My Heart"! "Curio"sity Reigns Supreme!

*2016-06-06, version 1.0.0*

You are a heroic savior who is invited to take part in a mission for a top secret organization specializing in stopping evil forces from creating havoc in the world. Throughout your journey, you meet various and unique characters within the organization; each one has his or her own distinct personality, appearance, and role. The locations are varied as well with some telling their own story, such as the museum with its many artifacts, relics, and devices displayed throughout. There are many elements of foreboding suspense as you fight off menacing gargoyles, which are terrorizing the townspeople. The graphics are beautiful and fairly clear using many shades of red, orange, yellow, purple, and blue, which create a mystic ambiance. The artwork is fairly detailed and finely drawn creating a realistic representation of your surroundings. There is a nice variety of background animations, which help one become immersed within the environment, such as glass shattering, birds flying away, a gramophone blaring music, and a globe spinning - all initiated upon touch. There are some creative features in this game. You use a secret suitcase to analyze data and gain information; you also use other gadgets to add extra elements of fun. You can customize your settings. The inventory is labeled and interactive; items require assembly. The fast teleport map indicates available action in custom mode; you can check on the option for extras. The journal is located in the map, together with the Relic Room. The HOS are varied and include word lists with slight interaction and silhouettes. The puzzles could use more variation; there are too many rotational types. You also have a storybook type. You collect coins to furnish the Relic Room. Overall, this game has a unique storyline, nice variation of special features, smooth transition, and no glitches. However, I deducted a star because it is a very short game; and the majority of puzzles are rotational. I still think you should play it!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Glitchy

*2016-07-10, version 1.0.0*

Have had to delete game 3 times due to it freezing up. Had to start from stretch . Not happy about that. I'm now trying this for the third time hope it works. Appears to be a good game but just can't play it all the way through because it keeps freezing.

### 1/5 — Frustrating

*2016-06-08, version 1.0.0*

The first time I used the suitcase evidence sorter it worked fine. The second time the screen went dark and I had to "skip" the puzzle since I couldn't see it! The third time the screen went dark AND froze and I couldn't get it to work. Will ask for a refund

### 1/5 — Game glitched

*2016-06-07, version 1.0.0*

When I used the suitcase thing on the lower right to find out who the second person is, it glitched and now is stuck to where it's telling me to add the inventory items even though the game has continued on. Two items that were supposed to disappear are still in my inventory and the suitcase is open and in the way of getting the amulet to open the third tower. I can't move any further. Fix now!

### 3/5 — Needs more of a challenge

*2016-08-20, version 1.0.0*

This game was fun but not very challenging.

### 3/5 — Almost

*2016-06-14, version 1.0.0*

Plot fine, hidden objects good, art lovely, puzzles not so much. Those I found clumsy to manipulate.

### 3/5 — Curio Society

*2016-06-10, version 1.0.0*

The game was fun, but most of the mini games were aggravatingly hard. I know some people like a challenge, but I like mini games to be easy or medium difficulty.

### 3/5 — Great Game... Orange box = -*

*2016-06-08, version 1.0.0*

I also had the orange box at the beginning. By yesterday evening, it was gone.
I really enjoyed this game, well worth the money. Graphics were good. Puzzles and hidden object were good, story line was a bit typical but fine...curious about continuity of story, I'll save that for last paragraph so it isn't a "spoiler".
I can not give five stars because of a few things, the Orange box. I too, just hit X in upper right corner of box. The other reason is the constant request for feedback. My feedback is, quit asking me to rate a game I'm still playing. I also dislike having the resume game screen every time I leave for a second. Even if it's to look at the guide.
(Just thinking about it makes me want to remove a star 😑)

Spoiler: in the story, at the beginning, scientist released the "baddie" but, later on, this changes. Did I miss something?

### 4/5 — Fun adventure

*2018-06-24, version 1.0.0*

Does it drive anyone else crazy that useful items (such as a screwdriver or knife) disappear after only one use? Still I really enjoyed the game, graphics and cut scenes were beautiful and the game allows players to “transport” from one area to another without all the back-and-forth running around so often required.
I would have liked to use the gun more often, but all in all a good time

### 4/5 — Good Game

*2016-06-12, version 1.0.0*

Kept me entertained. Would enjoy a sequel.

### 4/5 — Fun Game and Interesting Story

*2016-06-12, version 1.0.0*

I enjoyed playing this game and really liked the story line.

## Most praised reviews (9 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Excellent Game

*2016-09-08, version 1.0.0*

Customizable settings, variety of inventive HOPs, beautiful graphics, long-playing, responsive interactive Hint button. All in all, a wonderful game!

### 5/5 — Curio gets curious

*2016-06-20, version 1.0.0*

Interesting travel and games. Keeps you thinking!

### 5/5 — Funtabeulicious :)

*2016-06-16, version 1.0.0*

Great game... Lots of fun. Worth the$

### 5/5 — Great

*2016-06-13, version 1.0.0*

I'd recommend this game to anyone !!!!

### 5/5 — Fun entertainment!!!!!!

*2016-06-12, version 1.0.0*

Great graphics and storyline. HOS have added layer to them so that they aren't the same and boring "read the list and find item". Mini games have new twist. Can't wait until the next.

By the way, I never did encounter the orange pop up that others did.

### 5/5 — The curio society:Eclipse Over Mesina

*2016-06-10, version 1.0.0*

This is the first game I have not needed to use a hint! The game is so fun! The map works well, and when you touch things they actually move, birds sing, trees sway, very impressive. The storyline actually flows in a cohesive manner and you know why you're
doing stuff. Took a long time, but someone finally got it right! KUDOS!

### 5/5 — Lots of adventure!

*2016-06-08, version 1.0.0*

Loved this game - Great storyline, voiceovers, teleporting map and fun hidden object scenes and puzzles. The graphics were outstanding and this game will keep you on the edge of your seat. As far as the orange pop-up box at the beginning just close it with the x and you will have no problems. Just Enjoy The Ride!
Thank you Big Fish and the developers. Another great series that I hope continues.

### 5/5 — Very Enjoyable

*2016-06-07, version 1.0.0*

Great game. Smooth game play, great graphics, fun hops and mini games. I am about to play the bonus content. Looking forward to a new release.

### 5/5 — What is with the orange pop up screen Big Fish?!

*2016-06-06, version 1.0.0*

I came on here to see if anyone else was experiencing this orange pop up screen. I did as mentioned and just "X'd" out of it but it continues to pop up throughout my game so far. I've played over 300 BF games and this is a first... And I don't like it! What's the deal BF?
