The conversations you had, avoided, imagined, ended, or still need to have, finally given a front page. The Daily Me is a private newspaper for your inner life. You don't write entries. You file stories into your own paper. The press runs every day. The masthead is yours, and by default nothing ever leaves your device. Not a journal app. Not a notes app. Not a chatbot. A personal editorial desk. FIVE SECTIONS, ONE PAPER • OP-ED: opinions, arguments, things you have finally decided. • LETTER: messages to someone specific. Sent, unsent, never sending, or maybe one day. • EDITORIAL: reflective judgement. Lessons, principles, where you stand now. • OBITUARY: endings. Relationships, habits, versions of yourself, places, beliefs. • BREAKING: fresh emotional records. Something that just happened. A PROPER NEWSPAPER Stories file with a red FILED stamp, a haptic, and a date. SHARE AS A CLIPPING Export any story as a newspaper clipping for the share sheet. Black-bar redaction blurs recipients, lines, dates, or your byline before anything is shared. MAKE IT YOURS A typewriter composer with an active-line highlight that auto-saves every keystroke. Edition styles, alternate app icons, and a discreet Lock Screen widget that shows your issue number and press run, opt-in only, never the words themselves. The Correspondent: seal a letter until a date to come, to your future self or someone else. It stays closed until the day it is meant to be read. The Sunday Edition: a long-form feature spread, set like a real magazine, from the week you filed. The Illustrated Edition: on-device engraving illustrations for your stories, in your paper style. Voice-first composing: dictate a story and have it set as a column. New edition styles, a Newsroom Insights desk, and a front page that finally puts the new departments up top where you can find them. File something. ### 2.0 — 2026-07-25 Version 2.0. Your paper, properly set. Real typesetting: the front page now flows in justified, hyphenated columns with a true drop cap, set like a real press. The AI Editor-in-Chief, deepened: it can suggest a headline for an untitled story, all on your device, always yours to overrule. The Annual: a beautiful year-in-review edition, composed from the stories you filed. The Circulation Desk: see the arc of your moods and sections over time, drawn as a broadsheet chart. Bound Volumes: export a print-ready keepsake of your paper. Private by default, as always. File something. ### 1.6 — 2026-06-30 Make the paper truly yours. New Art Director mode lets you design your own edition — masthead, accent ink, columns, drop caps. Break the format with new editorial forms: photo essays, comics, classifieds, crosswords and verse. Let an on-device AI Editor-in-Chief draft your week's editorial, add hand-inked illustrations, and print a beautiful broadsheet of your month or year to keep. Private, on-device, free. ### 1.4.2 — 2026-06-16 Accessibility, top to bottom. The Daily Me now respects your system text size (Dynamic Type), reads cleanly with VoiceOver, and honours Reduce Motion, Reduce Transparency and Increase Contrast. There is a new in-app Accessibility section too, with bolder headlines and a higher-contrast option. Still on-device. Still yours alone. ### 1.4.1 — 2026-06-09 Your Recap, now written by your iPhone — not the cloud. On-device Foundation Models read your headlines and write the Recap reflection. The model never leaves your device. Ask Siri: start a new story, open today's edition, hear your Recap, recall what you wrote on a date. Writing Tools available in Compose — proofread, rewrite, and summarise without your words ever crossing a network. Private Couples Mode now syncs received letters via iCloud sharing, off by default and end-to-end through your own iCloud. Editorial polish: cleaner Front Page chrome, calmer transitions, and a Recap Edition that updates in place when the model is finished. Five sections. One masthead.
