## Newest reviews (10 of 71)

### 2/5 — Good content. Poor user interface

*2026-06-29, version 5.03.080061057*

The Sunday e edition constantly has columns when clicked on show another article.

### 2/5 — Two years since the app was last updated. But the app is not working properly

*2026-06-25, version 5.03.080061057*

Same review different day, nothing has changed.

Why, when I have been reading the e-edition for 1 hour (pretty much on the dot) does the app suddenly stop and restart as if I had just opened the e-edition? Why when it does this must I force quit the app to get it to permit me to zoom in?

Since this app has not been updated in a long time through multiple operating system updates one would think that the app was perfect, even able able to handle the new liquid glass OS without any changes at all. That is utter nonsense and twaddle. This app needs work. How about it Denver Gazette?

### 4/5 — Good Source for CO new

*2025-02-16, version 5.03.080061057*

I daily review the Denver Gazette and especially enjoy the local articles concerning all things Colorado. It is well worth the subscription price to have this great resource. Keep up the good work!

### 3/5 — Consistency in my email

*2024-06-13, version 5.03.080061057*

Love the paper. Sometimes it comes up in my email, sometimes I have to go to app. Confusing

### 2/5 — App is a step back

*2024-05-30, version 5.03.080061057*

This app, newly downloaded, doesn’t work nearly as well as the one I have been using on my other iPad for years. When queried, Customer Seupport just says, “new technology is often hard to absorb”….seriously?! That’s like saying the Economy is doing great, you just don’t know it!

### 3/5 — Hard to use digital version

*2024-05-07, version 5.03.080061057*

Try using the digital version used by the New York Times or the Denver Post. They don’t crawl all over the screen. They hold a picture still. Very hard to use. Content okay but application poor.

### 2/5 — The app is unimpressive

*2024-03-13, version 5.03.080061057*

The app is really poor. You can no longer download and read content offline, and if you are in the middle of reading the gazette e-edition and do something else, the app resets and you lose your place in the paper. Not a big deal but annoying. Not a fan. This app could be so much better.

### 2/5 — A step backward

*2024-02-08, version 5.03.080061057*

This latest DG app is a major step back. The e-edition reader is gone. When that is selected the app merely redirects to the Safari view. All the smooth app reading, scrolling, zooming is now gone. This needs to be fixed. Bring back the old app. Paper readers should improve, not take steps backward.

### 2/5 — Navigating on mobile device clumsy

*2024-02-07, version 5.03.080061057*

Love the Gazette’s coverage of the news. I find navigating the paper on my iPad cumbersome. Because of that the Gazette isn’t the first place I go to for my daily news.

### 1/5 — Really?

*2024-01-04, version 5.03.080061057*

The last update turned the “app” (which is really just a web shortcut now) into a completely useless, unusable and unreadable pile of garbage. Who let this get out into the App Store? Horrible effort, guys. Switch back to a real app or you’ve lost this customer for good.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — No Replica on the App?.

*2026-06-20, version 5.03.080061057*

I paid for a subscription and assumed the app would provide a replica of the paper. Not so! I am obligated to go to the paper webpage to get the replica. Massively inconvenient.

### 1/5 — Wasting my time

*2026-03-14, version 5.03.080061057*

What a total waste of reading time

### 1/5 — Two years since the app was last updated. But the app is not working properly

*2026-01-09, version 5.03.080061057*

Why, when I have been reading the e-edition for 1 hour (pretty much on the dot) does the app suddenly stop and restart as if I had just opened the e-edition? Why when it does this must I force quit the app to get it to permit me to zoom in?

Since this app has not been updated in a long time through multiple operating system updates one would think that the app was perfect, even able able to handle the new liquid glass OS without any changes at all. That is utter nonsense and twaddle. This app needs work. How about it Denver Gazette?

### 1/5 — Needs improvement online or hard copy version!

*2025-11-18, version 5.03.080061057*

Icon doesn’t work, email links won’t open articles, my sign-in doesn’t hold. All in all, too cumbersome. Will not be renewing my subscription if not better when my time is ip!

### 1/5 — Continual Access Problems

*2025-10-31, version 5.03.080061057*

An app that rejects my login password, makes me change it and then rejects the new one is worthless.

### 1/5 — Terrible digital format

*2025-07-28, version 5.03.080061057*

Just got a trail subscription. Do not like their format our iPads. Not user friendly. Cannot use vertical and section locations are not very functional. Will not continue subscription. Prefer the Denver Post.

### 1/5 — Lousy

*2025-04-05, version 5.03.080061057*

Does not work well. Can’t log onto account most of the time. Coverage is biased. Too much sports instead of important issues. Customer service not useful.

### 1/5 — Not able to access services I paid for

*2024-08-27, version 5.03.080061057*

When I purchased the service, my email address was not accepted, but only after I entered a password associated with the single letter email account I use. it. The vendor attempted to correct the problem by having me resubmit a different email address that was longer than a 1-letter .com address.

I did so, and from day one I HAVE NEVER BEEN ABLE TO ACCESS ANYTHING I PAID FOR!!!!
Your service is subpar and sadly a major disappointment.

### 1/5 — Painful to use, is the app even supported?

*2024-07-22*

Why when I am reading the e-edition does the app suddenly stop and restart as if I had just opened the e-edition? Why when it does this must I force quit the app to get it to permit me to zoom in?

Since this app has not been updated in a year I can only guess these issues are because the Denver Gazette doesn’t care. The iPad operating system has been updated numerous times in the past year, but this app hasn’t needed to be updated to keep pace??

If you can’t keep up with the tech, perhaps you should rethink your business model.

### 1/5 — Issues

*2024-02-07, version 5.03.080061057*

The app doesn’t recognize my account, even after changing the password. I wish this was t an issue because the DG content is great. Their platform is not.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Kudos to the Gazette

*2026-07-02, version 5.03.080061057*

Always concise, objective and informative. A quality publication. Thanks much. We enjoy every issue

### 5/5 — Great Centrist Paper!

*2026-06-30, version 5.03.080061057*

I love that the Gazette gives information and doesn’t tell me how to think! Thank you!

### 5/5 — A real newspaper

*2026-04-26, version 5.03.080061057*

If you’re not a subscriber you should be. This newspaper employs real journalists in news, sports and opinion. Old school journalism and investigative reporting.

### 5/5 — Kudos to the Gazette

*2026-04-14, version 5.03.080061057*

Always concise, objective and informative. A quality publication. Thanks much.

### 5/5 — Excellent Newspaper

*2025-03-23, version 5.03.080061057*

This is a fantastic news source. Highly recommended.

### 5/5 — Love the Gazette

*2025-01-09, version 5.03.080061057*

I read the Denver Post for years because they had outdoor writers. They got rid of hunting & fishing articles & writers. Then there was nothing worth reading in their newspaper anymore. Thank Goodness for the Gazette! The only newspaper with conservative views in CO!

### 5/5 — Political leaning

*2024-12-20, version 5.03.080061057*

The DG tries pretty hard to stay neutral in its news coverage, and segregate opinions to its editorials. Unconscious bias in what it thinks is newsworthy, but a welcome alternative to other news sources. The online-only format also fits my lifestyle. It’s my go-to local news.

### 5/5 — Good paper

*2024-05-21, version 5.03.080061057*

The articles and editorials are excellent.
I have problems with the digital platform. I do not have problems with the platform used by the Denver Post.

### 5/5 — Accurate, reliable and non-biased

*2024-02-03, version 5.03.080061057*

It is my go to source for Denver news

### 5/5 — New app doesn’t size properly

*2023-12-11, version 5.03.080061057*

The DG app with the white background sized a page to fit my iPhone 13 Pro Max and my old iPad and new iPad. The new blue background app now fits a page properly on my old iPad but I’m forced to read 2 pages at a time sideways on my new iPad with a larger screen. The new blue background app on my iPhone does not fill up the entire screen only slightly more than half the screen. It’s now very hard to read.

Is there any sizing function on the new app?
