It makes me wonder if we played the same game. I was thinking this was going to be like This War of Mine, but it isn’t. There’s no story here. Well, there is, but it isn’t a clear one: Dude has girlfriend. Girlfriend leaves. The end. No story given about even WHY she leaves. They go from happy to on fire out the elevator directly. Didnt expect much. But what i received was even worse than i thought. I mean the art of the game is beautiful and the story is pretty sad but it took me about 5 minutes to complete it. Find the three memories then either fall down a hole or sit at a table. Extremely boring especially when you have to walk through the same rooms every “day” with only three things to do. Smoke, sit, or have coffee, all of which do nothing for the story. I believe it would be a great game if it was much longer, had more things to interact with and if the walking wasnt so slow! I got bored very quickly. Overall, don’t buy this if you’re looking for a fun long game to play or if you don’t want to spend 99 cents on something boring. ### 1/5 — Coffee simulator. *2018-10-21, version 1.0* You get to drink coffee then smoke. Awesome! ### 1/5 — Not actually a game *2018-10-13* Yes, there are things you interact with, and about 5 or 6 different “locations”, and you move between them. But it is not a game...there is no discernible goal, and no choice involved with your interactions. You just see a handful of scenes, which play out the same because there is no alternative choice you can make to progress. And then it just...ends. There are two different “endings”, depending on which way you walk in the last scene, but neither one is particularly interesting. And the whole experience takes about 10 minutes, max. It is true that the art style is compelling, and that is why I wasted $.99 on this, but it’s not much more than an interactive painting. ### 4/5 — What do u do *2018-09-26, version 1.0* Really good visuals but what is the aim of the game. I can see the developer (probably an asipring game developer) put in a lot of hard work in this, but it needs way more polish in terms of game mechanics to ask for $.99 for this. The visual language isn't clear enough, the game mechanic virtually absent, and is what's there is extremely simple that it's hard to connect with the character in any meaningful way. ### 1/5 — Morose, angsty art major app *2018-03-09* If you play this in a smoky bar where most of the people are wearing berets and drinking martinis or some edgy, no-name drink the “mixologist” designed, you’ll probably enjoy it. Ten minutes of wake up, get dressed, have coffee, sit in a chair, pick up a book (I think?), and walk left or right. In the end, we die. And then thank Brittany, the love of the developer’s life. I’m fairly certain an art major made this in conjunction with a developer. I had another soundtrack playing while I played this and it made it ten times better. I sat in my chair deciding whether it was worth it to go to the Apple website to request a refund. In the end, whoever developed this needs my $0.99 more than I do. Apple, please don’t recommend this type of “game” any more unless it’s the free App of the Day. 1/10 wouldn’t buy again. If you like angsty-teen suicide love stories that take ten minutes to complete, then this is your game. The art is pretty. But, I can’t believe how short this game was. Literally nothing is explained & the actions are minimal. The clock is no longer accessible once out of frame. When I tap the protagonist, I see the box of cigarettes saying “drag” but nothing I drag on does anything. All I can do is take clothes on and off, go in and out of the kitchen, make and drink coffee, sit in the chair, stand up, and take cigarettes out of my pocket. The story is told through visual artwork and is a really nice play! ### 5/5 — This game helps wrap my head around what I’ve become *2020-05-14, version 1.0* Not to make this review or whatever too long, but some years ago, Myself and The only person i have ever loved and continue to revolve my life around, had parted ways due to our mental states and emotional weaknesses. After that had occurred, I had done things to myself and attempted certain actions to myself that continue to make me spiral down downward. Around this time is when I started to realize i had ocd on top of the other mental illnesses I have, and found that my trait in ocd revolves around surroundings, lighting, and perceptions through my placements (if something to my definition, aesthetically appealing), and A couple of years ago I downloaded this game on my Android that was falling apart and never got to whole heartedly experience the game properly but instantly fell in love with everything about it. The way the lighting goes to a cold blue after you’re finished reminiscing the warmer colors and lighting with what felt like perfect sentimental memories attached to those details, it just all gave me a very very raw empathetic feeling that I wasn’t able to feel in a very very long time. It’s interesting how it happens to people. For some it happens at the sight of a sunset or the consolation from a friend, but my first sense of this feeling since my life was headed downhill was this comforting game. I’d love to express my thanks to those who made this game what it is, especially to Sean wenham, the one who was able to visualize and display these extremely heavy feelings. It’s not a puzzle game, you won’t be platforming or trying to get the headshot. If you need that kind of interaction to enjoy an app, this probably isn’t for you. It’s just something poignant and touching to interact with. It’s poetic and heartbreaking. It captures a feeling that many of us know but few can communicate. And yes, it ends too soon. Like relationships, sometimes. Even those on these reviews angry and complaining about the length of time to move through this, even they were moved to feel that yearning. That something special ended too soon. ### 5/5 — Eye awakening *2018-05-24, version 1.0* When I first played this game I didn’t think much of it, the sound track was fantastic but nothing really stood out. However coming back to this game, and looking deep into the skin of the story gives me a new vision on what I see. Though the story is about the loss of a lover, we can all put our selves into the shoes of this character. As we walk with him and see the memories of good times, it makes you reflect on your own personal good times. As we go deeper into the final segment of the game we get a choice, we can run after those memories and burn up. Or we walk away and move on. If there is bugs, I never did find them. But please, play this game for the story, not for the gameplay.
