Would also be great if they supported YL markets outside of the US, I’m Canadian so not all the information is the same. ### 3/5 — Where did the search go?!? *2019-10-21, version 2.4.1* Used to use the search function all the time and could find oils to use for specific issues quickly. It didn’t work great because of all the “sensitive” words you can’t use but I could usually find what I was looking for in a minute. Now It’s taking longer. I’m interested in making room and body sprays but this app didn’t have those recipes. This is great to have at my fingertips. I do wish the inventory section was a little more detailed. It would be great to have multiple columns for each oil to distinguish between 5 ml, 15 ml, regular, vitality, opened, and unopened bottles. People involved with making and maintaining app are very friendly and attentive. Features of organizing own recipes and such are a bit misleading as it just lets you keep a running log of your writing and you can not write and then sort out separate recipes. ### 4/5 — My stock *2018-09-07, version 1.3.8* Love this app. Only feedback is the my stock list has a few oils missing and a few not in alphabetical order. It would also be nice to be able to search the my stock database easier. Overall amazing! ### 3/5 — Love it... except *2018-06-01, version 1.3.5* This is a beautiful and comprehensive app for EO info! I love the recipes and education. The inventory was a primary reason I purchased the app. It does not work, unfortunately. There are some design issues. For example, it appears you can add a number in the inventory field, but without any instructions, how do we know what number to enter? A 1 for 1 bottle doesn’t make sense because it could be a 5 or 15 mL bottle. It is also important for me to know what I have open and what is still sealed (my back stock). There isn’t a way to differentiate those. And.... even when I successfully saved the inventory, it disappears. I wanted to get my monthly order in and had no idea what my inventory was because it disappeared. The app seems to sync with an online version, but I can’t find it anywhere to log in. Will continue to use, but am disappointed with this particular feature. **Developer response:** That feature was not a main feature of this app but so many people wanted it and so we are completely reworking it so that it functions amazingly. I hope you are able to get the upgrade next month once it is finished and give a better review! ### 5/5 — Fantastic go to app for oil people *2018-04-25, version 1.3.5* I’ve found this app to be so comprehensive and helpful. Education, recipes, supplements, make up, and more all here in one app! Jen has done her research and educated herself. I trust her app and other resources to help educate me in my Young Living oil journey! I highly recommend getting this app. ### 5/5 — More information than you can imagine *2018-04-24, version 1.3.5* This is a most amazing app. Not only are all the YL oils listed here with their information, but also so much more. Jen has fantastic recipes and suggestions. She also includes a wealth of oil education here. This is my go to app now for helping my family stay healthy. Thank you Jen. The Essential Oil Bar is my go to for everything oily! ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Not worth at all *2021-04-28, version 2.5.0* I’m a YL user, have her supplements book and follow her in FB. But this app it’s a waste of money, it’s sooo basic that the same it says it’s the same that you can find in the Young Living website. You can’t consult by an especial situation i.e. search for diarrhea and you can’t find a recommendation for that. ### 1/5 — Registering doesn’t work. Don’t waste your money *2020-06-25, version 2.4.1* Paid for it, downloaded it, tried to register and never received the verification email. Checked all my mail boxes including spam and never received it. Tried several times to resend the verification email. Still didn’t work. Waste of money. ### 1/5 — Not worth the purchase *2019-07-18* I bought this app as it was recommended on a podcast. I’m not sure there is value for the $11 it cost??! Trying to add recipes and inventory with no edit function? If there is, it is not intuitive. To make many recipes listed, you must have a large inventory of oils. For a beginner like myself, it’s not practical. I’m disappointed. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t save *2019-01-20, version 1.4.2* Love the idea of the app but I was very disappointed that nothing really saves. The whole reason I purchased this app was mainly for the inventory and recipe tabs and it doesn’t save at all so it was very disappointing. I keep trying to input recipes and they don’t save when you leave which is supposed to be one of the main selling points. The inventory would also be nice if you could differentiate between what size bottle it is, and to be able to separate our back stock from the opened bottles, and if the list actually saved. The worst part is that no updates have been done to make it better which is even more disappointing. **Developer response:** That part of the app was just an add on that was not the main function of the app. So many people were wanting that so we are now completely upgrading the app to include a fully functioning inventory. Thanks for helping us make this app great!! ### 1/5 — Pretty to look at *2018-06-29* I find the app to lack important information about EO. There is no way to compare information in the App Store but once I saw a friends different EO app I felt ripped off by this one. It may have SOME good qualities but not enough to be considered a mobile reference. Don’t waste your money. **Developer response:** I’m so sorry you feel this way. It’s a young living specific app. Are you perhaps using a different brand? ### 1/5 — Cannot support *2017-03-02* I have a couple apps that are comparable and find this one to be the least useful. ### 2/5 — Verification Email *2020-06-13, version 2.4.1* I made sure that I updated this app before I registered and then did not get a verification email. I triple-checked that I entered my email correctly and then tapped the “Resend Verification Email” twice and have yet to receive a verification email. Please fix this issue. ### 2/5 — Disappointed *2020-01-27, version 2.4.1* I downloaded this app 30 minutes ago hoping to be able to find an essential oil to match a specific issue. However, unless you’re willing to look up Every blend they are peddling, you will not find the information you want. My hope is I would get my $6.99 refunded as I used it less than 20 minutes. ### 2/5 — Totally locked up after entering all my inventory *2020-01-06, version 2.4.1* While entering my inventory, the app locked up but fixed itself after a few minutes only to repeat shortly thereafter and is totally locked. I entered almost all of my inventory o and will probably have to delete it. Super annoyed. ### 3/5 — Decent app *2022-01-05, version 2.6.1* This is a decent app with lots of info. I just wish when adding my own recipe that it would maintain page breaks. Having it as one big paragraph makes it difficult to read. THEN, this spring, Jen upgraded the app to include all of Young Living’s other products...ALL of them; supplements, household, kits, personal care, and the Savvy minerals makeup line and she only raised the price by $2 (only for those who hadn’t purchased it yet) so it’s an incredible deal!!
