It’s annoying. I understand they may be saving paper but people come to these resorts for a reset from our digital lives. So this is not a review on the resort but a review on them forcing you to have your phone on to eat. ### 4/5 — A beautiful resort *2026-01-24* The resort is amazing. Activities, location, beautiful surrounds, and clean. The service was wonderful. Many good things w this property. There is a disappointment with management. We ran into a couple incidents that need to bring to their attention. The ast manager listened partially as he was walking away saying I am not going to stay here. Some of the parents were amazed at his response. Then he came back and said aha aha, and nothing was resolved. It could have been handled more professionally. ### 2/5 — Nice resort, meh app *2025-07-11, version 7.92* The app is clunky to navigate, things aren’t consistently organized. The map is hard to understand at first. I think the app for what it is is overly complex. ### 2/5 — Nice Resort, Silly App *2025-04-29* We really like this resort group, but the app is comically bad. The schedules directly conflict with what is posted on the doors of some restaurants and bars. Events disappear with no explanation. The weather was not reliable even versus other weather apps. It never recognized my reservation so I could never sign in. Possibly weirdest was the fact that the resort map in the resort app slightly differed from the resort map at the resort The menus did seem accurate, which was good because there are no menus at the restaurants. ### 4/5 — Increase the functionality *2025-03-01* App is a good information resource but they can add more functionality. Such as processing room service, reservations, etc. ### 2/5 — APP didn’t work *2025-02-15* We were on resort and couldn’t get the APP to work. This definitely impacted our experience, because there is no real way to see what is open, what activities are available, offerings or menus without the APP. ### 2/5 — Beach *2025-01-03* Although the resort was beautiful .. the beaches were full of seaweed .. I thought maybe it was normal til the resorts on both sides were combing up the seaweed with landscape rakes and disposing of it .. if your going to claim you're one of the top resorts and expect people to pay top notch prices.. then be top notch! ### 1/5 — I understand why this app has 3.3 stars & it’s not the app itself *2024-12-05* Listen if you want to stay here or book your hotel here, don’t. I will be making sure that every single Google search for this app from here on out is terrible. That’s how mistreated i was. And not only me, i had multiple folks in my wedding group be stuck without rooms on check in, be promised rooms they weren’t given, overcharged and under delivered. I want this hotel to know the rudeness they showed me in front of my girlfriend while me trying to be understanding they misplaced information will not be tolerated. I will not stop unless i am compensated for my time & being double charged for my room (which i was happy to pay while They looked into it). This comment will be my warning & my vengeance - looking at you David & Erik. ### 1/5 — 9th and last time at Excellence *2024-07-02* Forcing us to use this app has really cheapened the experience at Excellence resorts. I come here to unplug, not to sit at a nice restaurant with a PHONE in my hand. I know that some people like using their phones for everything, but some of us would rather leave the phones in the room and browse a REAL menu. Until paper menus are made available to those of us who don't want to carry our phones, I will not be returning. It's so sad that they did this. ### 1/5 — Food labeled for dietary restrictions not accurate *2024-05-20* This app includes all the menus at the resort but you cannot trust the labeling. The labeled gluten free wrap on the room service menu has a flour tortilla… a plant-based vegan appetizer from the Mexican restaurant has milk in it… it’s all really unacceptable. Anyone with food allergies should not trust anything on this app. I became very sick because of this. ### 2/5 — Annoying *2024-03-16, version 6.4* It’s ok but the app is buggy, slow and annoying. Lazy hotel chain that can’t be bothered to print menus anymore, just pointing to the app. ### 1/5 — Still Broken After Update *2024-03-15, version 6.4* I cannot get past the stage of linking my room to my account. Whether or not the resort lets you use the app is always a guess. But they make up for it with burnt or raw food and by refusing to respond to calls that people are fighting and throwing furniture for an hour, eventually ignoring the calls instead of sending people out and lying that they did. ### 1/5 — Horrible experience by every measure *2025-12-06, version 7.95* I’m not going into detail. Restated my phone, deleted the app and reinstalled it, I even did phone reset and it still does the same thing. I’m just glad that on my wife’s phone the app still works. So much of your experience at this resort relies on the app. So far I’m 24 hrs into my trip and it hasn’t worked for over 8 hours. App worked perfectly and you can literally just decide what to get before you get to the restaurant. It also tells you what shows are happening and more. Didn’t crash, didn’t glitch. Not much more you can ask for in 2025. ### 5/5 — Fits all your needs *2025-06-22* I have no idea why people are so pissy about this app. It does exactly what you need it to do. You can view a map, see all the restaurants, find activities. You can’t book your stay here, but that’s not really what the app is for. The bride and groom of a wedding I’m attending suggested we download this app and it might be the best decision of my life. Wondering what the dress code is for the restaurants at the resort? They got it. Trying to find out if you can get a steak at the steakhouse AND tacos at the taco bar?
