## What is The Fairy Tale Tarot?

Welcome to the world of imagination and magic in The Fairy Tale Tarot! Brought to life by award winning artist/writer Lisa Hunt, The Fairy Tale Tarot encourages us to find new and deeper meaning in the familiar stories we’ve loved since childhood.

This is a very innovative Tarot, a deck that demands some degree of effort from readers. Each card relates to an entire fairy tale, keyed to the meanings of the Tarot. You will recognize many tales, like Three Little Pigs, Rapunzel, and Snow White. And you will learn new tales, drawn from Africa, Asia, the Pacific Islands, and Native America.

Many of the Major Arcana are renamed in a fairy tale manner, such as Innocence for The Fool, The Fairy Godmother for The Empress, and Happily Ever After for The World. The elemental suits are artfully referenced in the Minor Arcana. The characters and plot of each fairy tale subtly convey the traditional meaning of the RWS cards.

This is a very deep and multi-layered Tarot. This deck encourages us to engage the world of fairy tales in a Jungian manner. Lisa Hunt’s art is so lovely that the wisdom and beauty of her writing is sometimes overlooked. Once Upon a Time, the book included in The Fairy Tale Tarot app, could easily stand alone as bedtime reading for children and adults. I love these tarot cards and I have the real deck, but I love using this app. Very easy to use and reliable. I like the choice of readings but I especially like the ease of choosing a card for the day.

I’m not one to write reviews! OR to use apps for my tarot cards!! 
But- with this deck being OOP, and me knowing I would absolutely love it. I had to somehow get it! And this was as good I could get!  I love it! But touching the cards, I feel I can do a much more personal reading so I am begging this deck creator to please do a reprint on this deck!! 
This deck needs to be out there for people to enjoy! The app is great, but for me it will never be the exact same as my cards…. I guess it comes down to a more personal choice.

This is my favorite Tarot deck and my book was ruined.  I am so glad this app exists since the book is out of print.  The best part of this deck is that an entire story is associated with each card.  I feel like this makes it easier to give a reading.

The card interpretations often hardly relate to the traditional meanings or even the actual story being depicted. Instead of finding genuine themes in the world lore that fits each card, this deck attempts to stretch the meaning of a situation into an interpretation that hardly makes sense.

The deck is beautiful on it's own, but it also includes a full book of fairy tales from around the world. Each card depicts a different fairy tale with themes related to the Rider Waite tradition. When you click on the full text for that card, you get the full fairy tale story that it's from along with the origin and historical background, as well as nicely descriptive means for interpreting the image depicted. I love the format of The Fool's Dog tarot apps. I use the "Today's Card" feature to get my tarot highlight of the day and really get to know the card using the journal feature.
