## What is The Field?

The Field is a private thinking space that runs entirely on your phone.

A compact AI model lives on your device — you can put your phone in airplane mode and nothing changes. There's no account, no cloud, no analytics, and nothing ever phones home. Your conversations stay on this device and nowhere else.

What it does
The Field is somewhere to think out loud, ask questions, or talk something through, without anyone else involved. You can type or speak — voice input works fully offline too.

Honest by design
When The Field doesn't know something, it says so, rather than guessing or making things up. It's built to be a careful, grounded presence — not an entertainer. No engagement tricks, no notifications, no feed pulling you back in.

What it is not
The Field is not therapy, medical care, or crisis support. It's a reflection tool. If you're in danger, a crisis button connects you to real help (988 in the US) — always one tap away.

What's the catch?
There isn't one. The Field is free, with no subscription, no premium tier, and no ads. Your words never reach us, so they can't be collected or sold. It's built and given away by the Sovereign Grace Foundation, a nonprofit — the mission is the point.

The machine makes mistakes
This is a language model, not an oracle. It can be confidently wrong or miss what matters. Treat it as a thinking companion whose words you weigh — your own judgment is always the authority.
