Now nothing works making the entire app, useless. ### 1/5 — Poor business practices *2025-11-15* Ongoing subscription issues with this app have made it worthless. Have had to contact app manager multiple times for interruptions in service each month. Temporary fix then problem recurs at the beginning of the next month. Takes several weeks to resolve each time. I just figured out the fix is to pay $72 a year. That’s not happening. This subscription model for everything is untenable I hope these guys realize that. Bro $72 a year? Come on will the buffs really pay that? If they don’t next year it will be $100 to make up the difference. It’s slower, harder to navigate, and now you have to pay to even get regular notifications to your phone. ### 1/5 — Advertising Chicago in Facebook, but no Chicago *2024-05-06, version 11.12* Downloaded the app because it poppped Up as a Facebook ad that they were now supporting Chicago. But the feed selection will not let you select Chicago. Also notice every other review is more then 3 yrs old. Dead app? I’ve tried for 3 weeks now hoping there was an error on their end and it would be corrected. I enjoy listening to the FDNY and this app makes it easier to keep tabs on what’s going on since I can scan all the fire boroughs. The alerts may be slightly delayed and there was one all hands under control that never made it on the alerts today but that’s a very minor detail. Over all it’s very nice. Keep up the good work. ### 5/5 — Love the App *2019-03-26* I can’t complain. I love the app so far. Hopefully in the future you can add pictures or videos of fires. Keep it up guys!! ### 5/5 — The FDNY App to have! *2019-03-03* NYC Firewire has rolled out it’s new app, and updated it already. The main feature is the notifications page which alerts you to incidents. The notifications are pretty quick, while listening to incidents unfold on the scanner they come over the app rapidly. A list of incidents and interactive map appear on the main page. In settings you can choose to be notified by Citywide, Borough, Incident type, or by individual unit. You can also choose alert sounds which include the actual tones and announcements that come over the station PA’s. Growing up and listening to “the City” from skip on a scanner I can say this app gives you all the information you want without fear of missing the action in a timely and professional package. ### 5/5 — Good quality *2019-02-20* I like the app. I’m looking forward to the update where we can select certain companies, call types, and boroughs. But one suggestion. *2021-04-28* This app is amazing for fire-buffs. Maybe the number one app for this sort of thing. The only suggestion I have, is to PLEASE cover smaller emergencies. I noticed a notification only pops up for LARGE emergencies or large fires. Please give us a heads up about smaller calls, like gas leaks, trash fires, and could we be noticed about where units are responding to also?
