## What is The Forgotten Nightmare?

The Forgotten Nightmare Remaster is a modern take on a classic game style. Designed with mobile devices in mind, this interactive fiction game will draw you in as your imagination draws the pictures. Try it out and find out why a lost game genre implementing a modern interface makes for a surprisingly refreshing gaming experience.

This Christian themed story begins with an accident. An accident that leaves you, as the player, unable to recall not only where you are, but who you are as well. Awakening in an overturned van, being suspended by your seatbelt, you must first figure a way of escape. Once free to explore the area, you find yourself in a world that not only seems strangely empty but openly hostile as well. As the story unfolds and your memory begins to return, you begin to question whether these strange happenings are limited to the immediate area. If your experience of this small town is reflective of the state of the world, then things are certainly not as they used to be!

A word of warning! This seemingly dark tale is refreshed by a large number of humorous responses that if caught unaware, may have you bursting out in spontaneous laughter. This may cause embarrassment if played in a public place. In fact, no matter how many hours are spent playing this game, it would be nearly impossible to discover every comical response.

But really, could a game of this caliber truly have the power to engage a player? A game without the advanced audio and video quality we’ve come to expect from modern entertainment? There is only one way to find out. Give it a try and discover why this hidden gem has quickly become loved by many who have decided to do so themselves. Some have even dared to say that it is the best game they have ever played. You may be surprised at how quickly and easily the story draws you in!

### 5/5 — Thank you Chris!

*2021-09-21*

Thank you so much for this VoiceOver accessible game! So many game app designers leave people who are blind in the dust of graphical interphases. Your games immerse the reader in an engaging mystery, where attention to detail and creative problem solving help unravel the plot. I really appreciate that no choices result in the character's demise, and no opportunities are missed by a particular choice. I couldn't put it down for long, until I completed all three.

### 5/5 — Compelling!

*2020-03-12, version 3.0*

A walk down memory lane.... The game’s designer and programmer, Chris Radford, has revitalized and re-energized the classic text-based adventure games of yesteryear with a modern day visually appealing and easy-to-use graphical user interface that eliminates all the typing that this genre typically entailed before the advent of awesome widgets. Dynamically optimized for either tablets or smartphones, the game-play is addictive, the story line is compelling, and the underlying themes are poignant. Overall, an experience worth every minute and every dime. Well done and thank you, Chris, for sharing your imagination, your enthusiasm and your message!

### 5/5 — The world’s most underrated game

*2020-03-05, version 2.4*

This app is so addictive, I played it for, I think 5 minutes the 1 hour later I went back on and I haven’t played anything since

### 5/5 — Loved the game!

*2019-03-19, version 2.4*

Wonderful story with a cool old school vibe to it. The ending was pleasantly surprising, and I recommend you try it.

### 5/5 — AWESOME GAME!

*2018-07-28*

Great job, Chris! I've been meaning to play this for awhile, and had no idea it was so addictive until trying it last week on vacation. I got so involved, I did nothing but play! Immediately got Part 2, and now want the next part!

Keep up the great work!

### 1/5 — Just, no

*2017-03-11, version 2.3*

This game is OK until it turns into Christian drivel. Meh.

### 5/5 — Keep up the good work

*2016-10-16*

I am a Christian, and I love the work your doing here. It was just like a 3 hour long gospel tract. Loved it

### 1/5 — A text adventure app that doesn't autosave?

*2016-10-09*

Game was ok. Played for a couple hours. Came back to the app and it started at the beginning when I selected continue game. Dumb. Not good enough to play again. Deleted the app.

### 5/5 — Highly recommend!

*2016-06-24*

I'm a huge fan of text based games. In a world of seamless gaming graphics, they rely on imagination to be entertaining. This game is unique, fun, and challenging! The Christian theme was a pleasant surprise. It's a sobering reminder of what's at stake both in the game and in real life.

### 1/5 — Warning!

*2016-06-21*

If you are not interested in being preached to, don't bother with this app. Should come with a warning. The storyline is about a sinner who is searching for answers about the disappearance of his family. Turns out they were called to heaven at the rapture. 😑 According to this game, my family and I are going to hell. Cheers for that info.
