### 3/5 — Well laid out not all puzzles solvable

*2025-09-21, version 2.7*

Love Futoshiki but several of these puzzles can’t be solved by logic alone. You end up having to guess based on narrowed down options and playing it out. Prefer one that is by logic, which is how it should be if well designed.

### 4/5 — It's okay.

*2025-07-09, version 2.7*

When you put in a large number the small number in the column and row should disappear. And you should be able to highlight the small and large numbers when you touch one number.

### 3/5 — Automatically pass to the next level

*2025-01-18*

Doesn’t automatically pass to the next level. You cannot put a single small number, you should at least have two small numbers

**Developer response:** Thank you for feedback, you can put single small numbers to cells when playing in "Advanced" mode, you can turn on this mode in game menu.

### 4/5 — .

*2024-12-01, version 2.4*

I wish there was a setting where a wrong answer is flagged or the entire puzzle is checked.

### 4/5 — Pretty good but….

*2024-11-06, version 2.4*

I’d like a Check function for each square and for the whole grid like the Futoshiki puzzles in the Times newspaper.

### 3/5 — Nervige Werbung

*2024-11-05*

### 5/5 — Great game, simple design

*2024-10-29, version 2.4*

I love this app. It’s exactly what I want without any unnecessary bells and whistles and minimal ads

### 5/5 — Sudokudan daha zevki

*2024-10-03, version 2.4*

Zihni çok güzel çalıştıran zevkli bir oyun

### 4/5 — Cool

*2024-09-14, version 2.4*

I like the kanji. It looks cool.

### 4/5 — Great

*2024-09-03, version 2.4*

Even better if you could mark single numbers 😊

### 5/5 — Great App

*2024-07-27, version 2.4*

I have played numerous versions of Futoshiki and have found this app head and shoulders above any of the other apps that I have used. Well done and appreciate your work
😊 Thanks

### 2/5 — Needs work

*2024-05-12, version 2.4*

Would be so much nicer if wrong answers were removed from cells

### 5/5 — Tests your brain

*2024-05-08, version 2.4*

I’ve been playing this for a few years and find it one of those games I always come back to when I want to test my brain ! I love the fact that you can now see how long it’s taken you to complete a game and it would be good if you could see this as you are going along, not just when you have finished. Part of what’s good about this game is that it makes you do the work - so when you decide what number goes in a box, you have to remove that number from a note on all the other boxes - this really tests your focus and ability to stick to the task on hand.

### 5/5 — Colin Reeves

*2024-04-09, version 2.4*

Would prefer the puzzles to be graded

### 5/5 — Futoshiki

*2024-04-06, version 2.4*

Great brain food

### 5/5 — Great game

*2024-03-12, version 2.4*

I recently started playing this on Cool Math Games but eventually discovered it was on the App Store. This version is honestly amazing. There are tons of well made levels, ranging from beginner to expert.

### 5/5 — Love it

*2024-02-21, version 2.4*

Love playing Futoshiki.

### 5/5 — Absolutely fabulous!!

*2024-02-13, version 2.4*

I've been using this app for a few years & the sheer volume of puzzles is astounding!! Cannot recommend enough for anyone who enjoys just switching off & filling in squares 😉

### 5/5 — Good improvements to the game

*2024-02-09, version 2.4*

Great game that requires thought similar to sudoku, recent improvements include highlighting of inserted numbers to make it easier to see what’s missing in a row, suggest it would be good to also highlight the smaller note numbers as well. Great game.

### 4/5 — Addictive

*2024-01-24, version 2.4*

I would love a way to detect errors.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Good concept, poor execution.

*2022-01-17, version 1.4*

This is a fun game to play but the apps responsiveness is way too slow.

### 1/5 — Used to be good

*2021-07-15, version 1.2*

This game keeps erasing my progress and it’s so annoying. The first time I was past 300 games each level; the second time I’d made it 70. Would keep playing but there’s no point now.

### 1/5 — Great game but spies on you

*2020-12-09, version 1.2*

I love the game, but please be aware that anything copied to the clipboard is read by the game when you launch it.

There is ZERO requirement for this app to access the clipboard.

### 1/5 — Deleted after suspect behaviour

*2020-12-05, version 1.2*

I enjoyed playing this app but noticed something today that made me delete it immediately.

I had copied a picture from Safari to send to a friend, and when I switched back to The Futoshiki app an iOS pop up message appeared that said “The Futoshiki pasted from Safari”.

Why is this app accessing my clipboard at all? I deleted the app it as this behaviour looks like it is trying to harvest personal details. I can think of no other reason why it needs to know the contents of my clipboard. I’m glad I noticed this when the content of my clipboard was only a silly meme and not a password.

I am grateful that iOS alerted me to this behaviour.

### 1/5 — Access clipboard for no reason

*2020-10-20, version 1.2*

App copies data from the clipboard each time it’s opened. Not sure why it’s snooping in there. Recommend deleting it.

### 1/5 — Data Breach — Don’t Use

*2020-09-19, version 1.2*

This ‘game’ pastes the contents of your clipboard automatically upon opening or switching into it from any other app.

Unsure if the system message stating that a paste into the ‘game’ took place is now only visible because of my recent iOS 14 update. It’s an abuse of user privacy nonetheless.

Developers ‘privacy policy’ states nothing about this being a legitimate function of the game or data use. Further, no control option or explanation of necessity is given inside the ‘game’.

Delete immediately and safeguard your data.

### 1/5 — reagiert zu langsam

*2020-08-16*

die app reagiert zu langsam beim tippen 😔bei andriod ist viel schneller

### 1/5 — Reporting an error

*2020-07-03, version 1.2*

Wouldn’t do this here if you had a way of doing so from the app. Level 23 in the 4x4 is not solvable. Not as frustrating here as it will be on more difficult levels. Please correct and check others.

### 1/5 — Disappointing

*2020-05-17, version 1.2*

I love Futoshiki and I like the way this app plays it. I don’t like how it has seemed to get slower and slower when I select a number. My biggest complaint is after an update (a few months back), it no longer saves my games every time I open the app it shows that I have played zero games.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Großer Spielspaß

*2026-08-05*

Perfekte App

### 5/5 — Merci

*2026-06-27*

Super jeu. Tout est logique, pas de hasard.

### 5/5 — Great app for playing Futoshiki

*2026-05-23, version 3.0*

This app is great. I can play the 4x4 when I need a really quick game, the 9x9 when I want to challenge myself, or anywhere in between. I can close it down and resume where I left off, which is so convenient. Plus, this is much more challenging than Sudoku. I also don’t feel embarrassed playing in public waiting areas, versus many other apps, because it is an app used to increase my brain functionality, not decrease it.

### 5/5 — Yes

*2026-04-10, version 2.8*

I been playing this game for many years and the app never failed me it always works and is easy to navigate

### 5/5 — Favourite!

*2026-02-02, version 2.8*

Fantastic app! I play every day.

### 5/5 — Download this now!

*2026-01-17, version 2.7*

I found this type of puzzle on a random site while looking for puzzles and fell in love immediately. Then it turns out there's an app with over 12k of them... sign me the fluff up. I'm 30 levels into the 4x4's so far and my brain hurts but dang is it not addictive to play. Probably going to buy the ad-free version since it seems to be a onetime payment even though I have ran into an add, it just seems they have a lot of puzzles on that version that aren't just this version that I would love to try. It's similar to sudoku (something I love already) but a bit more annoying but sorta more rewarding in my head since it clicks easily for some reason. 10/10 STARS!

### 5/5 — Niveau 8 Jeu 268

*2025-05-19*

### 5/5 — Very interesting puzzle app

*2025-03-20, version 2.4*

On large boards, I spend more time looking for numbers than actually reasoning.
There are two features that I really wish were added:
- highlight annotations when selecting a cell with a number: at the moment selecting a cell with 9 adds a background to the other 9s. Let also color (differently) the cells that have a “small 9” annotation
- dim arrows when they are not useful, that is when, based on annotations, they are not relevant anymore. For example on a pair of cells annotated with 578>235, the arrow can be dimmed; on 567>456 the arrow is still relevant.

### 5/5 — Kalite

*2025-02-27, version 2.4*

En oynanabilir Futoshiki bu. Değer verme vs çok verimli.
