### 3/5 — New membership

*2026-07-16, version 2.4*

V disappointing. What an antiquated app! No way to download membership card
or vouchers. Same info available to non members. Pointless! And then you have to pay for the RHS grow app.

### 3/5 — More interactive for finding open & free access partner gardens

*2024-04-26, version 1.8*

I am really struggling to find partner gardens free access within a radius of a certain place on a certain date . It would be so useful to be able to input a date and a radius on a map. So many places not open or not free.
Interactive map would be lovely. On the phone it is quite difficult. So many partner gardens I have already missed or will miss due to the v restricted access times.

### 4/5 — The Garden

*2024-04-08, version 1.8*

A great source of inspiration, solutions and knowledge:)

### 5/5 — Plastic

*2023-08-01, version 1.4*

Great article. Filled in gaps in my knowledge. It made a passing reference to homemade fertiliser. It would be interesting to have an article if you don’t already have one. Thank you.

### 5/5 — Great tips

*2023-02-28, version 1.4*

Excellent to have tips at the appropriate time of the year when jobs need doing. Will sort out my grasses now and check my climbing and rambling roses.

### 5/5 — Relevant

*2023-02-26, version 1.4*

I really like the way all relevant information is presented in a easy to follow format delivered by experts at the optimal time.

### 5/5 — Deep winter gardening by RHS experts

*2023-02-09, version 1.4*

Just listened to this podcasts. It was both interesting & informative. The topics covered were varied & the RHS gardeners waxing lyrically about the passions in their particular gardens really whetts your appetite to visit. 👍🤗👩‍🌾

### 5/5 — Amazing

*2022-11-08, version 1.2*

Just love this app. Magazines are displayed in sharpe clear easy to scroll way. No need to have the paper version.

### 5/5 — The Garden

*2022-11-07, version 1.2*

To be able to read a digital copy will avoid keeping 100’s of magazines!

### 5/5 — I love this app.

*2022-10-01, version 1.2*

Such a wealth of relevant and timely knowledge. Articles that are useful and interesting. A must have for all gardeners.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Too small on a phone

*2026-07-20, version 2.4*

Not practical to read The Garden on a phone.

### 1/5 — Dreadful website

*2026-07-11, version 2.3*

Login and it doesn’t let me continue - what is the point???

### 1/5 — No handbook

*2025-06-08, version 2.2*

I’ve just rejoined. Previously I had a handbook. Now nothing but an App. Can find no logical way to search for Partner gardens. I search for Wakehurst Place and the magazine comes up. If I didn’t know of a gardens existence, I wouldn’t find it here. Really furious it should be obvious to all.

### 1/5 — Secret subscription only

*2024-05-13, version 1.8*

I can’t access any articles anymore as I need to pay a subscription.. didn’t make that obvious..

### 1/5 — Too slow

*2024-04-02, version 1.8*

Such a slow search engine

### 1/5 — Bad app

*2023-11-26, version 1.4*

Why this app is unable to remember my membership. Having to sign in every time makes it unusable.

### 1/5 — populist @ shallow

*2023-06-13, version 1.4*

constant self promotion, lacking in-depth information it purports to be;
to login you need to be a member, yet there are constant reminders to become a member.
the gardening advice is on the level of Teletubbies or Gardening world for bored housewives or househusbands.
the app itself is not returning to the pages you were reading after you used one of their links.

### 1/5 — Frustrating

*2023-02-26, version 1.4*

App needs improvements . It constantly sends me articles to click on and read and then every time I do, tells me I’m not eligible to read them as I’m not a member, despite the fact that I do have a membership.

As the RHS insists on us booking our visits , it would also be helpful to be able to book visiting slots on the app. That way, most of the booking could be done with auto fill instead of us having to waste time typing everything in on the website for every visit.

The app could also be used to order food & drinks if the necessary adjustments were made. As it stands, the app isn’t really a great deal of use .

### 2/5 — Would be better if photos for plant identification

*2025-04-25, version 2.2*

I do really like the app as a novice gardener but I’m disappointed there are hardly any photos on the plant identifiers which as a newby is essential to know one type from another. The picture on App Store makes it look like all plants have lovely photos to show you what they look like

### 3/5 — Frustrated

*2026-07-23, version 2.4*

I have a membership account with RHS. Tried to login on the app with the same details ( user name and password) invalid apparently, yet no problem logging into my RHS membership account!!
Then saw the app website is b2clogin.com which is the same as English Heritage. So tried that login combo ( user name and password) invalid for the app but OK for the English Heritage membership area!!
Changed the password - still no joy!!
Still you are using Microsoft’s password muddle! Always a pain!
In the meantime please advise how I can logon to the app!!!

### 5/5 — Chelsea

*2026-05-22, version 2.3*

Great show. We had a wonderful day on Wednesday at Chelsea. A lot of lovely gardens this year and a great atmosphere.

### 5/5 — Push notices from the RHS

*2026-05-04, version 2.3*

It’s lovely getting the notices which I regularly read and there’s some good tips on there.
It so much better than last year where I had to continuously keep logging in although I’d already been logged in.
Great work RHS.

### 5/5 — Variety

*2026-02-09, version 2.2*

Love the ideas I get from these. I’ve used the ideas for our smallish garden created during lockdown. And it’s really varied and always something to see.

### 5/5 — Slugs

*2025-05-11, version 2.2*

Useful

### 5/5 — Excellent

*2025-01-18, version 2.1*

Great source of knowledge and information. Useful tips and great pod casts.

### 5/5 — Brilliant app

*2024-10-01, version 2.1*

Allows me to read the magazine on my iPad and zoom in to the fabulous images.
Great to have all the magazines in one place and the RHS members handbook and podcasts too.
Thank you

### 5/5 — A great way to start the day

*2024-09-02, version 2.1*

Delighted with RHS magazine (and membership), giving a mix of practical information, inspiration and hope.

This is such a challenging time for people and the plants and wildlife we depend on. I find it helps to start the day with RHS and inspiration for a thriving environment

### 5/5 — For all gardeners

*2024-06-25, version 1.8*

The Garden has something for everyone, whether it’s growing vegetables, designing a small town garden, or learning how to improve your topiary; reassuring worried readers (‘Is my plant dying?) or a special feature on a special shrub. Sheer pleasure.

### 5/5 — Mr

*2024-06-18, version 1.8*

Not good that I pay to join the RHS Then have to pay £3.99 to view the magazine

### 5/5 — In Scotland

*2023-11-24, version 1.4*

I always love visiting RHS gardens but sadly they are all in the south! With a disabled husband it is not so easy to travel around although we really appreciate the scooters available in some gardens.
Keep up the good works!
