The Mistake: I ordered several pendants, intending them to be Christmas gifts. Instead, the company sent me two expensive chains—items that were double the price of what I originally purchased. This was 100% the company's fulfillment error. The Exchange Nightmare: When I contacted them to simply exchange the incorrect chains for the pendants I actually ordered, the process became a customer service nightmare. 1. They would not honor my original discount. I was told I would have to pay the full, undiscounted price difference just to get the correct, cheaper items. 2. They then tried to charge me EXTRA. When I made the decision to just keep the incorrect chains and accept the loss (as I stated in my communication), they claimed I owed more money for the chains they mistakenly sent, despite me never ordering them. In essence, the company made a mistake, sent me items I didn't want, and then demanded I pay a higher, undiscounted price to get my original order, or pay extra money just to keep their fulfillment error. This entire ordeal placed the burden, stress, and added financial risk entirely on me, the customer, with zero accountability or effort to make it right.
