### 5/5 — Very fun

*2014-12-13, version 1.1*

This game was a lot of fun, and I didn't lose interest. Most hidden object games I get sick of the monotony and end up deleting after a few scenes. But this one is different, you aren't rushing on a timer, and you earn points that you can buy stuff to decorate your library with. I easily achieved every trophy my first go around.

### 5/5 — Unique HO Game

*2014-12-06, version 1.1*

I really enjoyed this game. I did not find this a short game, either, which I think is important. The actual story was a bit thin, not knowing the story, I would have appreciated a little more of the in between bits. But finding hidden objects in a moving scene was great fun, finding letters for words and a book in every scene was also a welcome addition. I'd play another game like this again. Good work!

### 5/5 — A lot of fun!! Loved it!!!

*2014-11-25, version 1.1*

Gatsby not my style but this is an Awesome hidden objects game w/o the back and forth to solve problems, like in many mystery solving games. Pretty challenging/addicting; some mini puzzles to solve, not as fun but NBD. Great scenery. Music is nice but is repetitious. Played on ipad 5- had no problems with touching objects despite other reviews. The cons of this game are small so I'm giving 5 stars. You also get a library to decorate when you earn points :)

### 5/5 — Great game

*2014-11-25, version 1.1*

As others have said, this is a great hidden objects game, especially because of the integration of dialogue and moving scenery. Very unique touches that make it stand out.
However, I did find the story a little hard to follow; after completing it, there is a screen that indicates that I can go back and play parts again, but I can't seem to figure out how... I can click on pictures, but not even the "rate us" button works on that screen.
If this was fixed, plus Game Center was added, this would be even better.

### 5/5 — Incredibly addicting and fun

*2014-11-23, version 1.1*

First, I must admit I love F. Scott Fitzgerald and love Gatsby. That said, this game has amazingly beautiful visuals that stuns the eye and excites the senses. Moreover, the game is fun and good exercise for your brain. And that's of no small importance.

You must find certain objects and even type with an old typewriter. Everything is right out of the twenties. It's a very interactive game. I've found myself way too addicted to it. I used to be addicted to Razzle but now have no time for that. Also, you are not up against the clock with this game. Take your time and just have fun.

I advise you to get this while it's free but it's worth the bucks if you want to have a ton of fun and keep your brain sharp.

### 5/5 — I recommended this to friends!

*2014-11-23, version 1.1*

I am loving this game, and I will be sorry when it ends. The pictures are beautiful, and the music is terrific. I like the variety of mini-games in between scenes. I actually recommended this to friends right away! I love the story progression too. The voice actors are great!

### 5/5 — Fantastic Addicting Fun!

*2014-08-30, version 1.1*

No pressure, just challenging constant fun. Loved every minute of this challenging game. Did I saw challenging? Not overwhelming, just fun. Hope they have more games. Excellent quality, can't wait for more. And you can replay any part. Loved it!

### 5/5 — Loved it! Too bad it had to end!

*2014-08-15, version 1.1*

Lots of fun! Loved the scenery and music. Piggybacking on other comments... Words were both British and American English which was confusing. Some of the objects needed to be tapped differently to be counted. Would love a pause or replay for the narrative to hear it again. Had loads of fun and hated to see it end.

### 5/5 — Excellent fun

*2014-08-02, version 1.1*

A 'great' hidden pic game. Don't usually take the time to write, but this was above average. Please make more!

### 5/5 — Gatsby is Great

*2014-07-27, version 1.1*

Challenging enough I wasn't bored, but not so much it was annoying. Different things to do, as well, so it's not just finding. And, the scenes aren't completely static, either. Good Game.

### 5/5 — Very enjoyable

*2014-07-26, version 1.1*

I really enjoyed this game. The scenes were visually stunning and interesting, the music was pleasant, and there was a nice variety of items to look for and puzzles to play. The story was incorporated nicely into the gameplay. I prefer playing for accuracy rather than speed, as is rewarded in this game. The only problem I had was that sometimes the item I touched did not register even though it was the correct item and I had to touch it slightly differently for it to register.

### 5/5 — Inventive game

*2014-07-26, version 1.1*

The variety of games, the ease of play, the music, the integration with the story all add up to a wonderful game.

### 5/5 — Great integration of story and gameplay

*2014-07-25, version 1.1*

Shows what a real story brings to the hidden object genre. Well done!

### 5/5 — Enjoyable

*2014-07-24, version 1.1*

This games is fun and fills the hidden object bill without being annoying. It doesn't cause you to skip back and forth and all over the place to play. Some games are hard to remember where to go if you don't play for a couple of days. I enjoyed everything about this game.

### 5/5 — Awesome game

*2014-06-07, version 1.1*

Absolutely loved this game, didn't put down my ipad until it was finished. One small criticism, some of hidden object clue words are British English, and some American English. I am British, living in America, and even I found this confusing. Other than this really great game.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 2/5 — Charming, but flawed

*2014-11-26, version 1.1*

Update: after finishing the game and revisiting the scenes for the sheer relaxation of finding objects for a second time, the game randomly began penalizing me 5000 "bad tap penalty" points in each and every scene for no reason. I deleted and reloaded the game, finished and went to replay scenes. After a while, same thing happened again. Bummer. Get this glitch fixed, and I'll rate higher. Too stressful for a game that's supposed to be relaxing.

Nice HOG with classic story line and intricate challenges such as the hidden letters and books. Graphics so-so, mini-games are not very challenging. Overall it was quite enjoyable.

### 4/5 — Love this game...

*2017-10-22, version 1.1*

I have played and enjoyed this game many times but it needs updated to work with the new update for apple (11). THanks you.

### 4/5 — Enjoyed the game...

*2014-11-27, version 1.1*

Having not read the book many of the bits of the story included did not make sense to me, but seemed to be the highlights. It finally got me to start reading it to get all the connections so the story makes more sense to me.
I liked the way hidden object games were done, but like another reviewer said, sometimes I had to touch an object a few times before it would register. Not always but enough to be a bit annoying.
I also had some trouble replaying scenes after finishing the game. I could get to the scenes to replay them at first, but after a few I could only get to the end screen with the Rate button, no matter what I chose from the main menu. And then the Rate button on that screen didn't work for me.
Like someone else said the flow of the game was nicer than other HOG I've tried and was not as tediously repetitive as he last one I played.

### 4/5 — Enjoyable but could be better.

*2014-07-26, version 1.1*

Very nice integration with the book, I enjoyed it a lot!
However, some parts in the game, especially the letters acquiring and the words formation should have a loop option,
so you have a second chance the recover all of them.

### 4/5 — Very enjoyable

*2014-07-25, version 1.1*

Crashed a couple of times while playing but overall pretty stable. Heavy on the I spy type puzzles, which is how I like my hidden object games. No substitute for reading the novel but nice refresher if you have read it or have seen one of the movie versions.

### 5/5 — Great game!

*2022-11-26, version 1.4*

I love this game! It’s a great game for visually sensitive persons like myself! Other search games don’t come even close!

### 5/5 — Great Game

*2021-05-07, version 1.4*

I loved this game whenI first found it several years ago, then it disappeared during an ios update.

I am so glad it’s back!

### 5/5 — 11 Stars!!! Love this game!

*2019-10-07, version 1.4*

I wish there were more of this caliber and sensitivity. I have replayed this several times since its first release and am delighted it’s been updated for the newer iOS. The artwork, the colors, the imagination taken to create this world of the 1920s (including mood music!) makes for the best experience. Thank you so much for all of it!

### 5/5 — Excellent!

*2019-06-14, version 1.4*

I don’t care for the solve-a-mystery hidden object games. I want to relax when I sit down with a game. This app is the perfect combination of challenge and enjoyment. This puzzles are fun and just hard enough to make you think, but I never got frustrated. I enjoyed the story as well since I hadn’t read this book since high school a LONG time ago. Lovely graphics, too.
I’m removing one star because the scenes cannot be zoomed in. This makes it tough for some of us to distinguish objects. The Hint option, however, worked to offset this shortcoming.
All in all, a very enjoyable game. I believe I’ll begin it again!

### 5/5 — Thank you!

*2019-05-07, version 1.4*

Thank you for fixing your IOS update. I adore this as well as all your other hidden objects games. My very last wish is that you would update your Agatha Christie and Hercule Poirot games too. And my truly very very final wish is that you turn more classic books into games. You're so good at it, so respectful of the book, why not try Hemingway, Shakespeare, Jane Langton's Edgar Award winning Homer mysteries. War and Peace, One Hundred Years of Solitude, Beloved, Grendel? There are libraries of books you could make even more educational and enchanting, enticing yet more young people to read. Best.

## Most praised reviews (5 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Loved this!!

*2017-02-21, version 1.1*

Really wish you would do more story hidden objects games! This was really fun. The graphics were great and I found this much more interesting than the standard hidden objects games. There are so many stories you could incorporate...classics, Agatha Christie, etc!!!

### 5/5 — Excellent

*2015-11-17, version 1.1*

Loved the letter and book finding part as well as the hidden objects. Those three things added to each scene made for a great game.

### 5/5 — Beautiful game! Very addictive!

*2015-07-26, version 1.1*

This is a visually stunning game (much nicer than the other "hidden-object" games that I have played). The music is vintage 1920s so it helps you feel like you are in the Gatsby era. The game does get harder as it goes along. I thoroughly enjoyed the game and ended up playing through all of it in one weekend (there are a lot of levels to it)! It stays true to the storyline of Fitzgerald's The Great Gatsby. I'd love to see some other classic novels made into similar games.

### 5/5 — Great Combo of Literature and Fun

*2015-06-04, version 1.1*

This was a very well written game that was fun to play. And it rekindled my interest enough to read the novel again. Thanks for doing a great job of putting those two things together.

### 5/5 — Great Gatsby!

*2015-05-10, version 1.1*

This is a game with variety and a classic story, that keeps the detective work interesting. I especially love how you can play any of the scenes over again, until you get it right or for more hidden objects.
