## What is The Grief App?

Loss doesn't always start with a death or a diagnosis. Sometimes it starts in the waiting. The watching. The not knowing what comes next. Sometimes it started years ago and you're still carrying it.
The Grief App was built for all of it. Day one or year five.

Created by a widow who needed support and couldn't find it. And a grief therapist who knows why — she's the only one in three counties.
The Grief App gives you practical tools for the moments when nothing else is available. 2am. A random Tuesday. The anniversary nobody remembered but you.
Grief is love with nowhere to go. This is somewhere to put it.
Every tool is built around action, not just reflection. Because sometimes doing something is the only way to stay present and process your loss.

WHAT'S INSIDE:

Grief Wave · When it hits without warning, start the timer. Stay present. Ground yourself in the feeling — wherever you are, whenever you need it.

Workbook (Unlock With Subscription) · Real exercises that help you make sense of what you're going through. Something structured when nothing feels structured.

Good Moment (Unlock With Subscription) · Grief and joy live together. Capture the moments that prove it.

Give Me a Break (Unlock With Subscription) · Step out of your own head for a minute. Available anytime. Even at 2am.

Audio Journal (Unlock With Subscription) · For the things that are easier said than written. Just press record.

Memory Book (Unlock With Subscription) · A place to put the things you don't want to forget. Keep them. Share them someday, or don't.

Grief support that meets you where you are. Available 24/7, even at 2am.

### 5/5 — Grief Support

*2026-07-24*

Losing a spouse is such a life changing event. I feel like I’ve gone through years of rolling emotions. I appreciate this app for allowing a place to feel all my feelings. I like journaling on my memories of him and I like posting the happy moments I’m having now as I rebuild my life.

### 5/5 — What a wonderful and comprehensive tool for the grieving. (Which is all of us)

*2026-07-23*

We are all grieving. We experience grief on so many levels, and for so many reasons. Death of a loved one or pet, loss of a job or opportunity, end of a relationship, post-trauma, etc. It also ebbs and flows over time. Sometimes we need to acknowledge the loss, sometimes we need help moving forward day to day. Many times we don’t know what we need.

Something I love about The Grief App is that it meets and serves you in so many different ways, so you can find support/distraction/focus/peace… whatever approach or tool would benefit you in the moment.

I think it’s fantastic that it gives you both the opportunity to capture memories from the past, and prompts and reminders to find joy in the here and now. That it gives you many ways to just take a moment for yourself to *be*, or - through activities and workbooks, many opportunities to actively learn, grow and heal in your journey. Both *being* and *doing* serve as critical anchors for living. Feeling anchored and living can be so, so hard in grief.

I look forward to sharing this resource with friends, family and co-workers, no matter who or what they are grieving. Thank you so much for creating it!

### 5/5 — A Guide, A Friend, A Way Forward

*2026-07-19*

This app provides guidance and empowerment to help transform the profound overwhelm and confusion of mourning into a meaningful growth experience.

It provides comforting insight into sorrow and anger, while providing activities to honor the source of heartache and loss.

I found the grief wave particularly helpful. The timer allows you to feel the powerful morass of conflicting feelings in their entirety, while still grounding you to the material world where you must function and care for yourself.

The workbooks and activities provide opportunities for distraction, insight into complicated, intrusive thoughts, and ideas for self care without overtones of judgment.

Opportunities to honor our lost loved ones, when ready, are a beautiful way to find our way back to happy memories in dark nights of the soul. The Grief App is helpful to store thoughts and create a “memory book” for them.

A video upon opening serves as a guide to the many, many features this app offers.

### 5/5 — An Excellent Resource

*2026-07-16*

An excellent place to remember, keep photos and feel seen. I used this app after I loss my father and then my partner divorced me. I felt alone and not sure how to move on. The variety of resources was thoughtful and helpful.
