## What is The Hansard?

Hansard puts the official record of the UK Parliament on your phone, so you can
see what your representatives are doing and decide for yourself.

The whole House of Commons appears as a live seating chart — every one of the 650
members, coloured by party. Tap any seat for that member's profile. Pinch to
zoom and search by name or party. Find your own MP by entering your postcode.

SEE HOW THEY VOTED
When the Commons divides, Hansard replays it: members stream out of their
benches into the Aye and No lobbies, the tally rolling up as they go and the
result landing at the end. You can see exactly how a vote broke and how your
own MP voted on it.

yours. Optional notifications tell you when your MP votes or speaks.

Data comes from the official UK Parliament APIs (members, votes, bills, and the
Hansard record) and postcodes.io. Hansard is an independent app, not affiliated
with or endorsed by the UK Parliament.

A more consistent look across every card in the app, notification fixes, and small refinements.

- When something fails to load, you now get a clear message and a retry button — in thirteen places that previously gave up quietly.
- The rating prompt asks at most once per version, however you reach it.
- Tidier portrait loading throughout the member screens.

The weekly digest is now more dependable.

- Repaired digest weeks now reach your device even when an older copy was already cached.
- One unrecognised entry in the digest index no longer hides the weeks around it.
- Fixed a rating prompt that could appear at the wrong moment.

### 1.5 — 2026-07-30

This Week in Parliament is now the front door.

It opens on its own tab, and it is what you see on a fresh install — the week's digest first, the House second. You can share a digest as post-sized text.

Every vote row now carries its real division identifier, so a division you read here is the division you can look up. The digests that ship inside the app are current as of this release.

### 1.4 — 2026-07-23

Corrects who the app says is Prime Minister. The bundled member profiles and the Commons and Lords rosters are refreshed, and the chamber's leader seats now show the current holders.
