## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Terrible service

*2025-06-25*

I have had a subscription for years. Over 30. I closed the card attached to this account and forgot to add a new one. They of course cancelled my subscription as unpaid. I never got a notice or anything. Now they want to double and triple the price I was paying. I think this was on purpose to get a higher price. Pretty low

### 1/5 — Worst upgrade ever

*2025-04-04*

I now understand why newspapers are going out of business. This app has transformed what was an easy way to read the semi-local enewspaper that I paid for into a marketing and sales site trying to hawk the terrible USA TODAY content.

### 1/5 — Subscriber

Terrible

### 1/5 — Ridiculous

*2024-11-19*

We have to call at least every 2 weeks to restore our account (You know the wait, the music, the eventual condescending voice on the other end)…. We’ve paid for a year. It always fails to recognize our account when trying to open. It’s beyond maddening. I would cancel but my husband wants the paper…. Not too much to ask. I’m getting my news from the internet. The Herald times is a waste of our retirement money.

### 1/5 — Freezes constantly

*2024-06-04*

This new app is very frustrating.

### 1/5 — Frustrating

*2024-06-02*

Pop up ads are distracting, and the enewspaper doesn’t automatically load or update even though it is the default. The digital NYT and its customer service is so much better than this.

### 3/5 — Better than nothing

*2025-10-19*

The local reporters are fine professionals but too few stories, mainly a perfunctory front page and then it’s mostly USA Today — always interesting, and covering a good range of topics— but it’s scarcely a local paper. And we seem to have lost the ability to go back to past editions. I do appreciate the traditional newspaper layout and its implication of what’s important. Not a great local resource but I’d miss it. Laura, Boris, Connie et al are good observant writers.

### 4/5 — What I think

*2025-06-06*

Well, I miss the old ones but if I have to get the news on line, this works okay.

### 4/5 — End $1.00 subscription, I’ve enjoyed it but my age has taken my sight somewhat.

*2024-04-29*

Cordially, Walter L. Hatfield

### 5/5 — Good substitute but I’ll always miss the actual paper and staff

*2025-09-30*

This is a well organized product that has solved many glitches. It provides real news with uncensored comments. That is what actually keeps America great.

## Most praised reviews (3 highest-rated)

Cordially, Walter L. Hatfield

### 5/5 — Great local news

*2025-04-20*

So happy to have an app for local news in a small town! It’s precious and we need to support it.

### 5/5 — Subscription Cost

*2024-06-08*

I cannot find the subscription costs anywhere. Are you ashamed at how much it costs?
