### 4/5 — This would be perfect if you could manually or ALPHABETICALLY reorder the Lists tab.

*2022-08-23, version 2.7.4*

Everything in this app is PERFECT bro. The only drawback for me is the inability to manually or alphabetically organize the Lists tab. And I say this is a huge flaw because the Tags tab is alphabetically organized but not the Lists tab. I had to take a star off because of this! And this is coming from someone who is a huge practitioner of bullet journaling, GTD, and the 12-week year frameworks together.

Oh and you can put sub-tasks within sub-tasks! This is REALLY useful if you’re a practitioner of the 12-week year book. It helped me organize my project tasks by week and then all I had to do next was move the project lists for my 12-week-year goals to a folder that focuses solely on one 12-week-year period at a time.

But like I said, I wish I could reorganize the order of the folders and project lists. That would really help!

### 2/5 — Good App - No Customer Service Via Web Site

*2022-07-04, version 2.7.4*

Good app, use primary. Would be even better if had printing capability of folders and lists. If exists, can’t find.

Tried to send inquiry on website via several routes, Apple Apps, different browsers, etc., all routes defunct! They need to do a QA on their website, or either they don’t want to talk to users.

Will gladly upgrade rating if they want to fix their support!

### 4/5 — Great app. Needs more explanation

*2022-02-13, version 2.7.4*

It took me a while to get this one figured out. Would be better if there was a more detailed explanation.

### 4/5 — When can a very good app update and add some new features

*2020-09-10, version 2.7.4*

great

### 2/5 — Dégouté

*2020-03-30, version 2.7.4*

### 2/5 — Can't export data

*2019-05-03, version 2.7.4*

The app appears to be one of the better task management apps.

My low rating is because there is no way to export your data - you can't email a list, share a task, or extract all of the data to a csv list. I can't use an app that I can't get my data out of.

### 3/5 — No mail integration

*2019-04-03, version 2.7.4*

It doesn’t work with any other client than the mail app. This is disappointing. It doesn’t have the ability to attach photos. No dark mode,.

Otherwise quite good

### 3/5 — LOVE the Mac OS app, but iOS is buggy

*2019-03-08, version 2.7.4*

The Hit List is a great app over all and when it works, it’s seamless, powerful and gives me exactly what I want. However, I find the iOS version to be very buggy. Lately, every time I open it it crashes immediately despite the fact that I have a fairly new iPhone and the latest iOS update. I’ve tried reinstalling but, as of now, it doesn’t work at all.

### 4/5 — Free version of any.do

*2019-01-02, version 2.7.4*

Thanks

### 5/5 — Still my favourite task manager

*2018-11-03, version 2.7.4*

Laying out nested list is so fluid and easy. Even though the Mac app is showing its age a bit, sync is solid. The iOS design is very clean and modern.

Whenever I have lots of little things to do, or big things to break into small things, The Hit List is my go to app.

I want this app to survive and thrive.

### 4/5 — A fast, easy to use app

*2018-10-20, version 2.7.4*

The hit List is an App I fell I love w a few years back and then it went no where. It is now a good but not great app which it could be if they only listened. The app needs die times which you could set reminders against. In this fast paced world it would be nice. Given the price I’m not asking for much.

A facelift is definetly in order. It’s like like Karelia wants this thing to fail. The okie schemes today are simple and green is not where it’s at. Dark tones to grey would modernize the interface remarkedly. I think the developer got a little too full of himself when he just turned off the listen engine.

The smart lists though make this a whiz bang productivity app. It’s quick and intuitive. It not staid but flexible. This is one power house with multi views that help you get through your views so quickly. Concentratrate in the HUI and make this a oowehiuss. It can be done.

### 2/5 — Can't reorder lists

*2018-10-19, version 2.7.4*

App is still too dependent on the Mac version for editing. I should be able to manually reorder lists on my iPhone.
Also miss the Watch app but maybe it'll return next year.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — They killed the old version

*2026-07-03, version 2.7.4*

The previous version was amazing. Used it for over 15 years.
Now there's no right click, submenus are gone, no undo. I have to find a new app now for task lists.
Such a shame.

### 1/5 — She’s dead, Jim.

*2024-07-26, version 2.7.4*

Mac version is no longer available on their web site or in the App Store. This one hasn’t been updated in 5 years. Unfortunate :-(

### 1/5 — Utterly broken

*2023-11-06, version 2.7.4*

Don’t buy it. It crashes all the time. The developers won’t answer. This is a ghost app by now. It used to be the best to-do app out there (better than Things, Todoist, Omnifocus, etc). Now it is just a piece of outdated abandonware. Apple should remove it from the App Store

### 1/5 — The best of them but abandoned years ago

*2023-03-31, version 2.7.4*

The best of the lot had the Mac app still ncr its launch in 2008 , but app was abandoned years ago

### 1/5 — White screen

*2020-09-07, version 2.7.4*

It used to work. Now all I get is a white screen.

### 1/5 — Another one hit the dust?

*2020-02-08, version 2.7.4*

This was my favorite app for so many years. But now it is impossible to launch, just getting a white screen. Over a year since the last update. Seems they went extinct - I so do not hope so.

### 1/5 — Best ToDo App, but no Support or Updates

*2019-01-10, version 2.7.4*

It seems like the Developer of this beautiful app has silently stopped any activity. No replies to support request, no activity in their Company Blog or Facebook-Page. So sad. It seems, wherever Andy Kim, the innovator of The Hit List, has settled as a developer, the business will go down …

### 1/5 — Where are they?

*2018-12-30, version 2.7.4*

Cannot get any response from the company. No longer seems to work.
No updates seem to be forthcoming.

### 1/5 — Junk

*2018-07-14, version 2.7*

$19.99 for this? Needs an update for iPhone X. This app simply just needs an update. Lags behind other to-do apps big time.

Deleting!

### 1/5 — Frustrated

*2018-07-05, version 2.7*

I like HitList but company has been slow to update and it lags behind others apps like Things, 2Do, and Todoist... this update crashes each time i go to sync on my 10.5 in iPad Pro... So I can’t use... it does appear to run fine on my iPhone X. Still no update for the Mac...

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Fantastic Task Manager App

*2023-12-15, version 2.7.4*

This is the best task manager app I’ve ever tried. It syncs flawlessly between all of my devices, and does everything I would ever need it to do.

Try it, you will not be disappointed.

*2021-10-01, version 2.7.4*

*2021-04-14, version 2.7.4*

### 5/5 — Simply brilliant!

*2021-04-14, version 2.7.4*

...but what would make this fantastic app even better?
Dark mode. 👍

### 5/5 — absolutely amazing - flawless free sync

*2021-03-06, version 2.7.4*

This is definitely worth every Penny. Consider you can use it on all your iOS devices - your iPads and iPhones.
Amazing organistional tool

Have bought it on macOS too

### 5/5 — Loved the app

*2020-09-24, version 2.7.4*

Really love the app and how simple and efficient it is. Also not many apps allows you to make goals or tasks under different folders, and that also unlimited. I think it is one of the best apps and really recommend it.

Just one request it would be amazing to have iOS 14 widgets on homescreen for this app too

### 5/5 — La meilleure

*2019-05-07, version 2.7.4*

Extra ! Je fais tout avec ça ! Sont seul défaut être uniquement en anglais

*2019-04-07, version 2.7.4*

### 5/5 — Sencilla y rápida

*2019-01-21, version 2.7.4*
