I’ve been at Platinum for over a year but the app still shows me as gold and won’t give me the correct rewards. I saved the message stating that I’m at Platinum. I’ve completed updates, logged out and in again, etc and still nothing. I don't want to delete the app for fear of losing even the gold status and starting over. Menu also needs work. Please make this more functional. I don't want to change coffee shops because of the app malfunctions.

This app used to work so well but with the latest update nothing works! My rewards never work when scanned, i dont receive more “beans” even after scanning and ordering, and the menu never loads anymore! Plus almost every time I go to use the app I am logged out completely and sometimes I dont remember my password to a stinking coffee app! Annoying.

This is mostly a good app. I can order and see my points, which is great. There are two key features that need to be added for a 5 star rating:
1) I need to k on how many points it takes to get to the next level and where my progress is so far.
2) An Apple Wallet Loyalty Card like all of the other coffee companies have. It should have my points and status and a bar code so they can scan it without me having to fumble for the app in the drive through.

Both of these are basic features that should be added in the next upgrade. I will change my rating when both are available. Thank you.

The service is so uplifting. Easygoing, knowledgeable, quick, and efficient. Coffee Bean is my favorite coffee but the prices keep going up. A year ago it was 5.00 for coffee now it’s 8.00. If it keeps going up, I won’t be able to afford it. Please bring the prices back down so I can come back more often. My bill for an egg burrito and coffee is 17.00 and that’s just ridiculous.

We just recently got a Human Bean nearby. I downloaded the app around March 14th. I have gone every single day, yet the app shows that I have only made purchases on March 18th, 20th, and 21st. The app truly needs fixing because the rewards are a major reason that determines which coffee shop I become loyal to.

I created an account and when I had them send the verification email it never was sent to my email and when I tried logging in it said my email doesn’t exist on the app.. not sure how to go about it considering it’s not in my email and I can’t get into an account that “doesn’t exist”

I’m new to the app, so I created an account. However, when I try to login it tells me I need to click on the activation link sent to my email to verify myself. I’ve tried several times to login and have been unsuccessful because it never sends me the email (not even to junk) and then I have to sit there waiting to resend the link. If I’m lucky enough to get a link after the second or third try, when I click on the activation link it sends me to a site saying the code is invalid and I have to do the process again and still have never been able to login.

Please fix lack of password manager support. Speculating you have incorrect or missing app ID or domain but certainly could be any number of causes. As is does not support even Apple’s own Passwords app let alone third party tools that work without concern elsewhere

I understand that each location is different with different items, but even when I’m shopping at my location near me I can’t see all the food items or all the drink items. How can I place an online order when I know that my location has a certain amount of food and I can’t even see it on the app. Please fix it

P.s In response to what the developer told me this app is 4+ years old and online ordering should be available instead of me having to go through a third-party my review still stands

I have closed it completely every time and it will not open. I can’t click anything. It loads for a long time and then freezes. I can’t scan for points or whatever, so it’s useless. I ended up deleting it.

Updating your App is beyond frustrating.  Why do I have to redownload every time?  This app is the only one that updates this way and it’s also constantly having issues at your locations. I’ve about had it!  I’m a platinum member so obviously I’ve spent more than enough money on your products.  Get it together or I’m off to DutchBros

I don’t see the point of the app if you can’t order ahead. If I want to pay with my phone, I can just use Apple Pay. The rewards aren’t enough to make downloading an entire app worth it just to use it as a digital wallet.

Human Bean is great coffee, but the app is terrible.  I have lost out on so many rewards points because the app has a nasty habit of not opening or just spinning once I pull up to the drive through window.  Since there is frequently a line behind me, I feel rushed to move on, and the baristas are not keen on doing the phone number lookup.  Human Bean has the good coffee, but Dutch Bros and Starbucks have apps that work.  Have you considered punch cards?

I have a neurotic habit of clearing all of my notifications throughout my day, and I have had a 1 next to the human bean app for 2 weeks. I navigated the entire app tree and it still says one notification. There is no indication where the notification lives so I uninstalled the app. Now all my apps are notification free again. Let me know when the false notifications are fixed and I’ll happily reinstall.

It is ridiculous that you have to rack up 450 points to get a free drink, especially considering the minimal splint of points afforded every visit. At least other places like Starbucks give $20 off free merchandise with 400 points. With this app, it’s barely enough to get a free drink before you are forced to restart the cycle or accept a mediocre discount. Most customers are only interested in occasionally getting a free drink not having to work to get a free drink 😐.

The year is 2025, I downloaded an app for a store that sells beverages and stuff. I can’t place an order for pick up for a beverage through the app? So if i was out and about or if I wasn’t and someone could pass by to pick up the drink for me etc etc etc bla bla bla I CAN’T PLACE AN ORDER FOR A PICKUP FOR A BEVERAGE THROUGH A PHONE APP? THE YEAR IS 2025.

This app has had numerous issues since we got our Human Bean back in Henderson, NV. First, the loyalty points were not being added correctly. Now, for about three weeks, the pre-loaded funds on the app cannot be used. I currently have $18.83 on the app and I have not been able to use the money that has been preloaded onto the app. FIX IT. I refuse to go back until I can use the money I have already given to the Human Bean. This is literally ridiculous.

We have never had a bad experience at this location and have always left with a smile on our face. The staff is always upbeat with fast, friendly service. They have multiple sugar free flavors and always are willing to read the entire list for my husband who is diabetic. We always look forward to our next visit!

UPDATE: After trying the app again some of my previous complaints are no longer accurate. The app is working well with gift cards. Even though the QR code is small it worked first try (Turn up screen brightness if QR codes ever give you trouble). Gift card purchases now give you rewards points. 

I wish you could order ahead and pick up since coffee orders can get me tongue tied, but the staff is very friendly and helpful.
This would be a major update feature and I understand that is not part of the intended design currently.

The app has given me nothing but problems. The updates always break something. -Gift cards give the employees trouble when scanning every time from the app. -Now, the latest update is not displaying my gift card in payment mode where I can use it. I was able to add funds to it but now I can’t buy anything with them. -Also when you buy gift cards it doesn’t go towards your rewards. You would have to ask them to scan your QR code for rewards after they struggle to scan a gift card, if that feature gets fixed. -The app allows you to see the menu but you can’t order anything with it. PROs: you can read the menu.

I love our local human beans! They somehow find the greatest people in this not so great town to work! I used to love how the app didn’t make me transfer money to the app to pay for the coffee but would take straight out of my card and would still give me my points. It looks like that option is out the window with this update. If that’s the case, I’m not a fan. The aesthetic is an improvement, but this is a big change I’m not on board with.

REVISION!  I’m getting used to this new App and my complaint about lost rewards has been fixed. I also have my birthday reward! I really do love The Human Bean, it’s my first place to get a quick latte. The staff at my local HB (Albany, Oregon) have always been friendly, courteous and kind to me when I’m confused.

So far I’m not liking the update! I’ve lost my rewards that were waiting for me to use (no, they were not expired) and my birthday reward is not showing up.

Old review:
When I open the app, my Bluetooth audio in the car pauses. It’s a minor inconvenience but it’s annoying.

Now: there isn’t a video anymore. Also, on the first day, there was a sign that said if you reloaded your gift card with $25, you’d get a free drink. It took a few days, but that showed up too. Thank you!
