It just isn’t finished. ### 3/5 — Peaked a year ago *2024-08-10* Was a pretty good game over a year ago when things were dynamic and constantly fresh. Now things are pretty stale and unchanging. Developer has dropped off in activity as well for months. There’s a lack of competition created by the poor design of the alliance system and if you say anything about it you get trolled relentlessly. Developer also allows the trolls to post non-tib related things in discord but when others do they get their posts deleted. Zero ads, no tricks, intuitive controls, crisp graphics and gameplay. You can literally play the game and thrive with zero money. Of course you’ll do better if you buy a little bit of extra “Experience Points “ . Heck the devs Ozy and Mythra jump on and play, you can actually chat with them. Speaking of, if you email them they personally respond. ### 5/5 — Best game of current times *2023-12-26, version 1.3.6* Active developer and very responsive to feedback overall great community and better game than most, actually fun to play the arena Great work ### 4/5 — All new stuff *2023-12-11* I played the original TIB shortly after it came out and it was nice…had heard that a new version was in the works and was excited about it…had to step away for a bit and I happened to see the banner about TIB 2 so I decided to check it out…for one thing going for it is that Ozy and Mythra are still here going at it strong, interacting with the players and making the events fun…they listen to suggestions, answers questions (even the odd ones) and will even pop up a surprise event or gift for everyone…the game itself if just overall fun with new and great graphics, lots of new ships, weapons and gear as well as new planets, garrisons, enemies and npc events. Lots of new people and lots of old people from the original. You get to hang out with your old friends and make new ones in the process. It might seem a little daunting in the beginning but you will catch on pretty quick and there’s lots of folks here that will help you out with your questions, ships and gear to keep you going strong. No gacha mechanics or broken limited time items; only you, the grind, and the community. As of time of writing, the game is well supported by the devs, and has gone through numerous major changes, almost always for the better. For a mobile game, there is no auto-battle or grind automation, period. Every enemy must be targetted manually, every jump must be made manually. Besides all that, there is a mandatory community aspect. This is not a game where solo players will get far, but the community itself is fun, and extremely eager to help new players. This game can be difficult to play AFK or on the go, you’ll need atleast half an hour at a time to get anything meaningful done. While you’re in safe zones, however, you can log out at any time with no consequences, so short sessions are possible. ### 5/5 — Great Game. *2023-09-09, version 1.3.2* This game is playable in 20 minute increments or an all day binge. Meanwhile you have players who have been playing this game for years and can pounce on you as they please without penalties. They are level 100+ and you are only level 25. Or you choice is to stay in the safe zone where you grind for worn and inadequate gears. And they promote themselves as friendly… it is prey on the little guys, not let him be. ### 1/5 — If you didn’t start playing when the game dropped don’t bother to play now…. *2025-09-21* This game is insanely unbalanced. The market prices are insane, which is controlled by the player base which is very few. Also, the leveling system allows you to use more ships as you level unlike TIB 1 where you have one ship…. Now you have to worry about some lowlife no life. No that spends all this time in the game with 10+ ships compared to your one ship when you just start out. This game is honestly a huge disappointment I played tib1 for 10+ years ### 1/5 — Don't waste your first impressions yet... *2025-08-18* Game has so much potential, but so little of it is realized. I highly recommend trying the game 6-9 months from now, hopefully by then the new development team will be able to get going and we actually see content. We haven't had a meaningful addition to the games content for almost 2 years. Instead we get empty promises, consistently missed self imposed deadlines and AI generated "news" posts. The game is not in a health state right now, but please come back to check it out later. ### 1/5 — So much potential *2025-08-12, version 1.5.6* The game itself has a lot of potential. It just isn’t finished. Very enjoyable early game and an excellent toilet game. Good to burn a few minutes here and there, but flounders over the long term for a few reasons. The two brothers who run this game heavily favor some of their long time friends. It does not effect early gameplay at all, but as you become more involved it becomes increasingly obvious and hard to watch. They allow one faction to blatantly bot, script, and run alts. It is only when it is obviously flagrant that they take action. A recent example is a player was caught running Alts for a second time and was only suspended for 10 days. If it was simply lax enforcement it might not be a big deal, but it is also one sided enforcement. The bones for an excellent game are definetly there but the development team keeps fumbling do to lazy development, superficial content upgrades (loot boxes), and the previously mentioned buddy system. ### 1/5 — Please *2025-01-31, version 1.5.0* I love the game but get chat banned for no reason or not told the reasons. ### 1/5 — Potential is there… *2024-11-25, version 1.5.0* The game is fun and the basics behind it are entertaining. However, since a large part of the game is PvP, game balance is important. Currently, there a huge power imbalance that the developer refuses to address and dismisses as merely game politics. The direct result of that is that 2/3 of the player base is left out in the cold as there is no real way to overcome the imbalance currently. The power imbalance affects all parts of the game, from normal PvE farming to the end game PvP events. ### 1/5 — READ BEFORE DOWNLOAD! *2024-03-04* If i could give it negative stars, i would. This game is hardly in existence! What i mean by that is, they had a kickstarter up for years. No updates, nothing. They were going to steal everyone’s money until legal issues came up, and so they had no choice but to fulfill the promise. It is managed by 2 people, who will cater to those who spend money and they will, and i mean “THEY WILL” step outside of their own terms of service to micromanage situations driven by their own ethic will. This is not a long term game, this is not a game that will return any sort of investment. This is a game where when you log on, you can be worried about items missing ((staff removing them)) all the way to the staff laughing in your face. not to mention, they offer a big gambling service that you can “earn” credits from to buy anything in the game. This absorbs players with addiction issues, aswell as creates these issues. If you want a game where you waste time, money, and your own mental health go play runescape. Some players have spent thousands of dollars , you’ll never catch up to them. Some of those top players will just kill new players over and over again and there is nothing you can do. It’s mmo-2D space combat crossed with looter / shooter mechanics. If you plan to play more than a day, I recommend skimming a new player guide from their discord or steam to help give some direction.
