### 5/5 — Brilliant reading, with an extensive evergreen archive

*2023-05-20, version 2.7*

The Intercooler does what no other publication can: it simply lets writers write what they love to write. The passion shines right through. With new articles daily and a large archive, it’s my go-to reading material.

### 5/5 — True car journalism

*2023-03-29, version 2.7*

The finest reading if you’re a car fanatic.

### 5/5 — The best motoring content - anywhere

*2023-01-17, version 2.7*

Beautifully written articles by knowledgeable people on a diverse range of topics.
Superb.

### 5/5 — The eloquent men of the car world

*2023-01-12, version 2.7*

Andrew and Dan’s podcasts and articles are by far and away my favourite.
They seem extremely relatable to me, particularly Andrew with his interest in the history of cars especially Bentley.
Keep up the podcasts and the articles. I enjoy hearing you both talk, like I said you’re so eloquent and so knowledgeable it makes everything you talk about all the more interesting.

### 5/5 — Fantastic efforts

*2023-01-05, version 2.7*

I love the The Intercooler. Podcast, last blast and the fantastic stories of motoring bliss. I find myself getting lost in the podcast, feeling like I’m having a chat in the Pub. The stories are great, really making me feel involved. Really has helped get me back into my hobby. Thank you!! 🏎️🚗

### 5/5 — Brilliant content for all enthusiasts

*2022-12-18, version 2.0*

I recently received a subscription as a gift. I have been a listener or the podcast for a while, and I have followed TI on Instagram since it’s Drive Nation days. The content of the subscription is superb and photography exquisite; it ups the game and worth the small
premium.

I’m not into the newest, shiny, super-hyper fast car out there. I started lose interest in the typical magazines for that sort of thing.

Dan, Andrew and team write such varied and engaging stories that there is something for most motoring enthusiasts - I love the more historical reflections, the motorsport content and the engineering insights. I’m particularly pleased that TI raises the awareness of grassroots, affordable motorsport too. It’s also great that TI has created a platform for young writers. It’s these sorts of initiatives and content that allows the enthusiasm of the TI team to really shine through.

It is a bit clunky to sign-up and log-in, especially across multiple platforms. But it’s well worth the patience and effort. As someone working in Tech, that’s just something for the Dev teams backlog to sort - a relatively easy fix.

### 5/5 — Just a really good read- no ads or unnecessary rubbish

*2022-10-30, version 2.0*

I really enjoy reading the articles, particularly the engineering bias ones- David and Fiona, I also find the photography really appealing and always draws me in to other articles. Well done guys- keep up the great work

Paul

### 5/5 — The car magazine I had been waiting for.

*2022-10-25*

Bringing coffee table car magazines level of attention to detail with the prose of the best writers in the business in a much more enjoyable format and at a much better price, I couldn’t pass on Ti. Give it a try, you’ll never regret it.

### 5/5 — The Intercooler

*2022-09-28, version 2.0*

A fantastic place to read in-depth interesting and on occasions diverse car and non car related stories. Listen to an abundance of insightful podcasts that will make you smile, laugh and at times educated. And all for the same price as a disappointing cup of coffee in some well known outlets

### 5/5 — Worth every penny

*2022-09-18, version 2.0*

Brilliant content from a fantastic mix of writers in a very easy to enjoy and consume format. I use the app mostly and the site from time to time. Have been impressed with the ease of use and it’s stylish look / feel. The content is the real star of the show though. I now very much look forward to my Saturday mornings when I can sit down and enjoy all the articles published during the week with a coffee. If you want a change from the somewhat bored and tired motoring press and what it churns out then give The Intercooler a chance. You won’t be disappointed.

### 5/5 — Wow !! A must buy

*2022-05-11, version 1.9*

Following on from there amazing Instagram stories this is an absolute must have app Bravo !

### 5/5 — A Revolution

*2022-05-10, version 1.9*

At first I didn’t quite get it, but the penny soon dropped. Ti’s online presentation, without the distraction of ad’s, gives huge emphasis to the reader’s enjoyment. It certainly does in mine. In traditional magazine format, ad’s are purposely designed and positioned to pull the eye away from the editorial copy. How often do you pick up a magazine to realise you never finished reading an interesting article, or missed one altogether? And the standard of writing with TI is so high, you read and appreciate every single word. Obviously, I have just renewed my subscription - a no brainier.
Appreciatedly, Roger M

### 5/5 — Great writing, great variety

### 5/5 — Fabulous

*2022-05-07, version 1.9*

Superb writing, superb articles and superb value. What more could you want. If you like cars and all things automotive then this is a no brainer

### 5/5 — They just get it..

*2022-03-23, version 1.7*

No matter what level of interest you have in cars you will always be provided a new and interesting angle on various subjects from the ultimate in credible and knowledgeable specialists - nobody else does it like this, thank you very much.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — App won’t honour subscriptions

*2025-07-07, version 4.1*

Buggy app will take your money to buy a subscription but will not allow you to access the articles! Also no help despite multiple inquiries to customer service. Please sort yourself out Intercooler!

### 1/5 — Slow and interconnection fails

*2025-01-09*

The app is very slow and often reports that there is no internet connection when there is (both on WiFi and LTE)

### 3/5 — Modern solutions

*2022-02-02, version 1.7*

Unfortunately just had to cancel due to performance problems. It keeps logging me out and prompting a subscription. Appart from that. Enjoyable app. The missing gap between uptodate news and content and old fashioned media.

### 4/5 — Photos a let down

*2026-01-17*

It’s frustrating that photos in articles cannot be opened or zoomed to view in a larger format.

### 4/5 — Brilliant content, app buggy

*2025-05-28, version 4.1*

Much as the title says really. The content is fabulous, and I very much enjoy being a subscriber. The app, however, needs work.
When a new article lands the app freezes, and needs shutting down. Reopening the app is then a frustrating process, as a "no internet" error message is displayed for the first few attempts. This requires closing, and then reopening the app repeatedly. Eventually it will open, with the new article accessible.
The article is invariably a good read, so worth the effort. A bit frustrating though!
Sort out the bugs, and this is comfortably 5*.

### 4/5 — Excellent content, app needs work

*2025-03-01, version 4.1*

10/10 content, the app is good but could be improved, would be good to be able to make articles as read and also sort the saved section by age of article.

### 4/5 — Love the writing, app needs work!

*2021-04-28, version 1.0*

Needs a dark mode and finer granularity in font choice (on iPad it's either tiny or huge).

### 5/5 — Simply Brilliant

*2025-08-18, version 4.1*

The app was brilliant anyway, but since the added addition of audio articles and ‘Ask The Intercooler’, these guys have found a level I didn’t think was possible. Keep it up, guys!

### 5/5 — Just subscribe.

*2024-08-17, version 4.1*

If you like cars just pay the money for this app, they have put together something quite brilliant.

### 5/5 — Best there is

*2024-02-20*

Essential reading

## Most praised reviews (7 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Excellent app.

*2024-01-15, version 3.0*

Great site.

### 5/5 — The result of bringing the best together

*2024-01-14, version 3.0*

My best summary is that Ti is the only, of my regular subscriptions, that I am up to date with, and not just because it is so easy to access.

The diversity of the topics, the depth of knowledge and the quality of the writers creates a source of reading pleasure that has kept me hooked since the beginning.

Join as soon as you can, because the volume of high-quality content is only going to keep growing, and there is a lot you will want to catch up on.

### 5/5 — Automotive heaven?

*2024-01-13, version 3.0*

It just might be the best magazine subscription you have ever made for something that’s not actually a magazine.

The collection of writers from all corners of the world and with variety in specific knowledge is a given. The surprise is the nerdy sections of engineers and designers.

The winners are the young writers though. Thoughtfully looked after when given a shot at a professional writing career - giving to TI is truly giving back to the whole community of petrolheads.

Thank you Dan and Andrew

### 5/5 — A must for all automotive enthusiasts

*2024-01-11, version 3.0*

Quite simply the best automotive journalism, available in a brilliantly packaged website an app, and the gateway to a fantastic car community.

### 5/5 — It just gets better..

*2023-10-04, version 2.7*

I’ve been a follower since the Drive Nation days and always a fan of the podcast. Great work Dan and Andrew bringing the talent together, keep up the good work.

### 5/5 — Simply the best

*2023-09-10, version 2.7*

The way the best car magazines in the world used to be. Simply the best out there.

### 5/5 — Excellent. The best gathering of automotive journalism.

*2023-09-08, version 2.7*

As it says above.
