If you’re an invigilator or moderator and u reading this please don’t use this app it puts a lot of our futures at risk because of its faulty nature ### 1/5 — Absolute failure of an app *2025-05-27, version 4.8* This is by far the worst possible app any institution could choose for proctoring exams. In the past two weeks alone, I’ve experienced four serious issues with this app — each one putting my academic progress and even my degree at risk. The app constantly fails at crucial moments. During my most recent exam, it didn’t even prompt me to upload my script. There was no way to submit my answers, and no backup plan offered. This could mean my exam won’t be marked — through no fault of my own. To make matters worse, the helpdesk is practically useless. They don’t respond in time, and when they do, it’s with automated or irrelevant replies that don’t address the actual issue. You’re left panicking with no real support. This app is unreliable, stressful, and completely unfit for high-stakes academic use. This is one of the worst ways to be writing exams ### 1/5 — Out of time *2025-01-16, version 4.8* During my exam the app kept showing out of app time and I was not out of the app. I ended up having to rewrite the exam. ### 1/5 — Unfair Deferral Due to App Glitch *2024-12-02, version 4.7* I recently wrote two exams with Unisa using their invigilator app. Despite following all prompts and never leaving the app, I received warnings not to exit. I successfully uploaded my final scripts, but was shocked to find out I was deferred due to allegedly being out of the app for over 10 minutes. This is impossible, as I had the app open throughout the exam. Extremely frustrating and disappointing experience. ### 2/5 — Very buggy *2024-11-20, version 4.7* This app is very buggy on iOS devices. I’m connected to the WiFi and yet it still says it’s not connected. I had to uninstall and reinstall the app to get it to work. Then after I completed my test I had to upload the data this again threw a null error message. I was forced to cancel the upload then choose upload later. I then had to go to the menu and then upload from there. It works great when it wants to other times it just crashes out. ### 1/5 — A very faulty app *2024-10-17, version 4.7* This app has caused problems for me when writing an exam for unisa. When it came to the time to send my script through the app, it was very slow to take pictures of my exam paper. The done button did not work and I had to cancel and take pictures of my script three times! By the time I was about to screenshot the issue, the app closed on me and the support team said that they cannot help me without a screenshot. It would not let my upload the script no matter how many times I took photos of my exam script. I have to wait six months to rewrite my exam! It is such a waste of time and study time! My hard work went down the drain today! Such a disappointing app. It’s unfair and students deserve better! Now I have to wait an extra six months to graduate. ### 4/5 — Overall good experience *2024-10-13, version 4.7* Was worried based on the reviews. I tried to start the invigilation but I had an error. Their WhatsApp helpdesk responses fairly quick and their solution worked. Works pretty well. ### 1/5 — This app causes unnecessary anxiety and delays *2023-07-28, version 3.9* Durin mg my test today I got a message to put my phone on charge when my phone was still charged over 20%. When I tried uploading my documents the app also didn’t scan them properly so I had to waste valuable time trying to get the scans to fit my whole page. I would really not recommend this app it got me zero for my test which is really unfair. When asking support for help they told me these are not technical difficulties? Really unimpressed and very demotivated we have to use this app for the remainder of our tests. ### 1/5 — Wish I could give 0 stars *2023-07-10, version 3.9* The app didn’t work well with my iPhone 7 and said I closed the app “out of app time” during the exam which is not true as the app stayed open the whole time… now I have to rewrite my exams and they wouldn’t even do a test to see that it was the app on my phone that was the issue… no one would hear me out and actually just take 15 minutes out of their day to test the app on my phone… now I have to rewrite exams study different chapters and it’s just a lot of extra stress I didn’t need!!! My recording for my assessment was just wiped away after I completed my final assessment and the helpline to solve the problem was more pathetic than words can explain.
