However, the solo scoring doesn’t work. Cascadia’s works amazingly. My wife and I can’t even finish one round because it keeps disconnecting us. Insanity. ### 1/5 — No local pass and play *2025-04-12* They built a pass and play mode for family but not for the ‘local’/main competitive version of play. Feels like a cash grab that my wife and I both have to pay $9.99 to play together on separate devices even though we’re sitting right next to each other. **Developer response:** Hello, we're sorry you felt let down by the mode availability. The reason we opted not to include Pass and Play for the regular game is because of the simultaneous nature of the card drafting phase. That being said, we're always keeping an eye on player feedback, and we will pass your comments along to the team! ### 2/5 — Where’s the local play for 2 of more players? *2025-05-19* I would like to be able to have pass and play (local play) for 2 or more players in a standard game. The family game is boring and not needed. I don’t play on line against other people, but the option is nice for those that do. Other than these two things, the app looks and plays very much like the physical board game. ### 2/5 — I’d wait to purchase *2025-04-04* Currently, I believe this game has too many bugs and connection issues to be worth purchasing. I’ve had multiple instances of cards getting stuck on screen, blocking gameplay. Entire games with real players are being disconnected/ended with no completion or warning. This game does not do asynchronous play. Plenty of other great games on the App Store that I’d recommend before this one. ### 3/5 — Doofe Challenges *2026-07-07* … wie zB No.2 „roomly“ oder „unfriendly families“ ### 3/5 — No Pass & Play *2026-02-15* Very disappointed this doesn’t have a pass & play option so I can play locally with friends & family. ### 3/5 — Pretty good, but still needs fine tuning *2025-12-28* As others have reported, this is a mostly good, not to mention beautiful, digital version of a great board game. There are a few things that make me crazy, though: The pop-up when playing a treasure card makes it VERY hard, and sometimes impossible, to choose the common treasures you want. The overlay covers them up and you can’t zoom in or out to adjust how they show up on the screen. Not being able to see how many fish I have at any given time is maddening. Keeping track of your fish is a major strategic need. Several times my cat has been locked into place when I’ve pushed the ‘rotate’ button. The buttons are just too close together. This is handled much better on the phone app instead of the iPad or tablet app. Fix these things and I’ll come back with a 5 star review. **Developer response:** Hello, we're sorry these issues soured your experience, and we appreciate the feedback. If the german version arives I give more stars. ### 3/5 — No asynchronous play *2025-05-11* Was very excited to get this only to find out that there’s no asynchronous play online. I get the game has simultaneous moments of play but I hope it’s something that’s added. ### 3/5 — Great conversion - Server disconnects often *2025-04-10* A pretty great conversion of the board game for iPad. Sadly however 60% of the time we play the server will kick us out at the scoring phase and I can’t complete the Challenges or see how we scored against friends in games. Maybe there are in a larger city but where I am now there are never any players on. The AI games are fun though and good practice for when I go to play the real game with some friends that have it. I will say that I think it’s too expensive for what you get, especially since they don’t have many users yet so there really is no online play. ### 4/5 — Great but no async games *2025-05-25* I enjoy this game much more than I thought I would as usual from Direwolf it’s a top notch digital implementation. However there is no async mode in multiplayer. I’m a busy person, but I love to play board games, but to get the most out of them I need an async mode. Every other Direwolf game I own has this feature.
