## What is The Junk Food App?

The Junk Food App is a nutrition tracker for people who want clear information about the food they eat, especially fast food, without judgment. Scan barcodes, identify foods from photos, search nutrition data, or browse curated fast-food menus. Log meals, water, calories, macros, and weight in one place.

Set personal targets from your profile, view daily progress, and receive optional AI-powered alternatives, recipes, and nutrition plans. Connect Apple Health to read steps, heart rate, sleep, and active calories for your activity dashboard. Add an accountability partner to compare shared calorie and macro progress.

Premium adds micronutrient data, Resource Center articles, unlimited partners, and an ad-free experience. Free users can track core nutrition with ads. Premium is an auto-renewable subscription, available monthly or yearly, billed to your Apple ID. It renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and you can manage or cancel it any time in Settings > your name > Subscriptions. Nutrition information is educational only and is not medical advice; check product labels and consult a qualified professional for health decisions.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.2.20 — 2026-08-31

Improvements and fixes.

### 1.2.18 — 2026-08-19

Fast food menus now show full nutrition before you log.

Tap any restaurant menu item to open its complete nutrition - calories, carbs, protein, fat, serving size and micronutrients - and log it from there once you have had a look. The + button is unchanged: one tap still adds an item straight to your day when you already know what you want.

Also fixed: the last items in a long menu are no longer cut off at the bottom of the screen.

### 1.2.17 — 2026-08-18

Fast Food Chains now works. Browse menus from popular restaurant chains and log items straight from the list.

Restaurant and branded foods now log complete nutrition - carbs, protein and fat, not just calories. Meals you already logged with missing values are corrected automatically.

Fixed a layout problem that could hide content behind the tab bar at the bottom of some screens.

Deleting your account now removes your profile photo as well.

Other bug fixes and performance improvements.
