## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 3.61.0 — 2026-08-24

Scan the QR at the door and the app checks you in — no picker, no extra taps. If there is no signal where you are, your check-in is saved and sent the moment you are back online, recording the time you actually arrived.

Announcements now appear on your home screen instead of only in notifications, and open in full with the church's link where there is one.

The messages icon now opens your messages — Direct and Groups, with unread counts — rather than the people directory.

Church leaders can now approve people asking to join their church from the app, and are notified when someone asks.

### 3.58.0 — 2026-08-22

Messages is back where you can find it.

Connections and one-to-one messages were buried in Settings. There is now a messages button in the top bar with an unread count, and it opens full screen.

Updating the app no longer shows you a sign-in screen. The check that verifies your saved sign-in got a single attempt, and a failed attempt signed you out for good — most likely the first time you opened a new version. It now retries, and keeps you signed in on the details it already has if the server can't be reached.

### 3.57.0 — 2026-08-21

Connect with people in your church and message them one to one. Ask to connect, and once they accept you can chat.

Also in this update:
- Check-in now asks for location when you open the screen, so the Location setting is there when you need it
- Fixed a case where the first check-in could time out
- Tapping a notification now opens the right screen more often

### 3.56.0 — 2026-08-13

Two fixes to how the app reaches you.

Artwork on a full-screen message is no longer cropped down to a narrow strip. Wide images are now shown whole, so titles and logos near the edges stay visible.

Notifications are more reliable. If the permission prompt was never answered, the app asks again instead of staying silent forever, and your church can now see when notifications are switched off for the app on your phone, which is the usual reason a reminder never appears.

### 3.54.0 — 2026-08-08

You can now read your notifications properly.

Tap any notification to expand it and read the full message without leaving the list. Before, a notification with a link took you off the page before you could read a word of it, and one without a link did nothing at all.

Opening the linked page is now its own button, so leaving the list is your choice rather than something that happens while you are trying to read.
