I don’t get it ### 1/5 — $220+ for 18 min ride?!?!! *2023-06-18, version 2.19.2* Wow! This pricing is absurd. $227 for less than a 20 min ride. UI is built poorly, I couldn’t make sense of ordering process. And then it advertised to work in Utah but says “service is not available” on an estimate page of their website. An Uber is $15. ### 5/5 — Great Experience *2022-10-17* Fntastic experience using Kidmoto to take children under 3 to and from the airport. The cars were nice, drivers friendly. Most importantly, they knew their car seats well. The price was commensurate with other car services in my area. Customer service was responsive by email. If I could change anything, it would be to have phone-based customer service in case if problems. I had no problems with their service, though, and I’ll definitely be using it again. ### 5/5 — Amazing service! *2022-09-26, version 2.19.0* Seamless travel for our first trip with our baby in NYC!! We had flight delay and last minute booking, someone was always there to help and answer any questions. Cancelled my ride 5 minutes before pickup! *2022-05-26* They cancelled my ride with two kids from LaGuardia 5 minutes before pickup because of “traffic”! Don’t waste your money. Zero communication from company. When we spoke to the driver they just said Kidmoto had cancelled the ride for no reason. Completely unreliable ### 1/5 — $200 for a 20 minute drive *2022-05-10* Don’t waste your money. I’m reporting them to the better business bureau. I’ve been robbed. I booked a trip for our family to la guradia airport, a 20 minute drive from our house. I wanted our son to be safe in a car seat. I was charged $200. I’m shocked. We take extensive measures to protect consumer data from fraud, identify theft, and scams. It seems like you mistakenly think the pre-authorization charge on your card is a charge, but it was not a charge. It was just a temporary "hold." These pre-authorizations are much like any other charge to a credit card, except instead of debiting funds from the cardholder, we put a temporary "hold" on the funds for a few days. You can validate the actual charges with your credit card company. You were sent an initial quote by email upon booking and a confirmation email with the final costs after the ride. Please check your email. We would love to clarify this situation. We checked and have received no complaint emails from you regarding your ride. Please email us at support@kidmoto.taxi. Outrageous ### 1/5 — Outrageous Pricing *2025-11-13, version 2.19.2* Downloaded the app and put in 2 possible destinations. One from our house to LAX, which is a 35min drive, and one from JFK to SoHo House in NY. The first was $316, and the second was $216. Completely outrageous, would never pay that much for a taxi. There is a base fee of $100 PLUS costs per minute ($1.00) AND mile ($4.50). I might as well rent a car or Uber home and come back to get my family. The initial estimates look inflated relative to Uber/Lyft, but stomach-able for having a car seat…until you start factoring in the $5/mile that gets added in on top of that. Not as egregious as some of the reports in reviews, but around $180 for a 25 minute drive. Opted to pay $35 to Uber myself home and then drove back to the airport and pick up the wife and kids in our own car after returning from a long vacation. ### 1/5 — Prices are insane *2023-07-19, version 2.19.2* They estimated $120 for 2 mile trip. The Kidmoto app is easy to use, even for this Grandma, and the Kidmoto team is immediately responsive to acknowledge, answer any questions, and ensure the best possible experience! The drivers were very professional and extremely helpful, the SUVs were clean, recent models, as were the car seats. Toddler tunes were played and stickers, bottled water, and mints offered. Our drivers arrived early and on time. We were able to communicate directly through text message with both drivers as pick-up time approached. One even had an iPad ready and playing, and the other had a huge umbrella to protect us from the rain while loading the car. I was very happy and the price was comparable to a black car service. The car seats were installed correctly and arrived early for pickup. Getting to the airport was quick and comfortable. Taking our 10 month old and 5 year old on the subway with luggage would have been difficult but Kidmoto worked great for us!
