### 5/5 — AWESOME

*2015-01-15*

This is a great game! It's really addicting. My thirteen year old daughter downloaded it and I decided to try it myself.

### 5/5 — My just-turned-5 year old LOVES it, excellent geometry instruction

*2015-01-05*

My 5y0m old son loves this app, he loves geometry so this was the first app I bought for him on our new iPad, and he has played it through many times. We even "play" Land of Venn in real life (he acts out being a point, or an open shape or a triangle...), and he knows all the names of the (very) wacky characters. Be warned, the characters are a bit outlandish, but they seem to appeal to the natural Kindergarten-level zaniness that kids have. I wouldn't have guessed it myself, but it's a hit. My son now knows and can specifically identify isoceles, equilateral and right-angle triangles along with the four sided quadrilaterals (rhombus, trapezoid, parallelogram, rectangle, square), so I'm impressed. More levels, please! And he wants books.

I love the design, the educational value and the wicked gameplay...
Can I just keep it for myself and not share it with my kid? :)

### 5/5 — Great Classroom Activity!

*2014-11-22*

We played this together as a whole group and took turns defeating levels. It was fun seeing the students give each other input and advice on how to advance. They voted over how the money should be spent in the shop and brainstormed which magic would work best on each level. Parents love this game too and were happy to put on their devices at home!

### 5/5 — I love it!

Seriously! Great app for my own children AND 3rd Grade students!! A+!

### 5/5 — Fun educational game for the young one

*2014-11-17*

It's great to see a game that is both educational and fun. The art is great. My kid gets a laugh from the wacky characters. What I appreciate the most as a parent is that the maker made a decision not to have ads and/or micro transactions. I highly recommend!

### 5/5 — Zany and fun

### 5/5 — Just like good old days!!

*2014-11-12*

Finally a genuine fun game where kids don't even need to to knwo that learn while they have fun playing it. it's so addicitng i find myself playing with it and I never play games on my iPhone not my iPad. something about this one reminds me how we played these Nintendo games as kids. the voices in this game are just too funny. highly recommended, very educational and 100% pure fun! worth every cent

### 5/5 — So far so great.

*2014-11-12*

I have been playing with my 8 year old. She realized right away that they were sneaking “real math” words into the game. She loves it. We are only about 5 levels in but I am very happy with this game. Not too many folks can make an app that teaches and can be fun. This one does both!

### 5/5 — So cool!

*2014-11-06, version 1.0*

I love this. Who'd have thought learning stuff could be this much fun. Love the characters and the game play is smooth.

Lots of tutorials all the way with lots of options to extend the game with varying strategies.

I've yet to get into the second world, so I know there is a lot yet to find.

Great app!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Too glitchy!

*2017-01-10, version 1.5*

This game is good, but has too many glitches to be enjoyable. One of the glitches is that you can't tap on the enemy.

### 1/5 — Penguinacious

*2015-01-26, version 1.3*

This game is terrible, it is basically about shooting things, its a shooting things game dressed up as 'educational'. Its possible just to go through the levels shooting things without ever engaging with the so called educational aspect. Everything I want to avoid in an app. Of course the kids love it, because as they say themselves 'its not about learning, its all about shooting things'...from the mouths of babes.

### 2/5 — Crashes

*2014-11-11*

Crashes on ipad 5.1.1 plays up to level select screen crashes every time I try to select level

### 4/5 — Great but too short

*2015-03-22, version 1.3*

This is a great game. My son loved playing and now points out quadrilaterals everywhere we go. He was really disappointed when it ended after only 3 levels. Hopefully the game will be expanded. Would be 5 stars if it hadn't ended so quickly.

### 5/5 — Great game!

*2015-08-20*

I never thought I'd hear my son saying "quadrilateral" or "rhombus" while playing a game he loves. Unique, creative, and well designed!

### 5/5 — My son loves it!

*2015-08-13, version 1.3*

My son loves this game! it’s a little on the short side but he couldn’t put it down (so that can explain it) Will definitely buy more games in this series when they are available.

### 5/5 — Nice app

*2015-07-29, version 1.3*

### 5/5 — Fun educational game that makes math concepts cool

*2015-07-28, version 1.3*

This game was on a recommended list. My five year old just finished all of the levels today and was so proud of his accomplishment. He knows so many geometry concepts now. Please make more levels! He has already asked if there were others like this game. It's a winner in our house!

## Most praised reviews (4 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — There is something different about this game.

*2015-06-29, version 1.3*

There is something different about this game. We have many games in our family that claim they teach. I guess they are but they are boring. When my kids are playing “real” games, they don't have the patience to play educational games, but this time it was different. They ask for it, they imitate the voices and without even realizing it, they learn a very high math vocabulary. Kudos to the developers

### 5/5 — grreat game

*2015-06-19, version 1.3*

This game is one of my favorite games on my iPhone. I try to tap the monsters as fast as I can to protect the land of Venn. I need to tap more than one times to kill some monsters. The turorial screens help me to know how to play the game better. There are lots of different monsters in this game. I always play this game because there are lots of challenging levels in this game. It is great.

### 5/5 — Sneakily Educational Addictive Fun!

*2015-01-27*

There are a lot of apps available that tout the “educational” label only to disappoint. The Land of Venn does not disappoint. Not only am I having fun with this game as an adult, but my kindergarten students are, as well. My students have only had the game for two days, and they’ve already created spin-off games to play during outdoor recess. “Let’s play Bookenriders,” two kids chatted on the way outside, “We can make a straight line.” I love it.
