Artwork is pretty cool too. I do wish there were more different styles of puzzles to figure out. It can feel a bit repetitive to mostly have ‘find and use’ types of puzzles. Compared to the first season the art got a nice upgrade (camera movement, parallax, ui) and the chapters are long and suspenseful. Very good story build up and world building, the puzzles are not too intuitive sometimes, often times you have to check locations aimlessly until you run into a clue or event randomly. The game doesn’t point of the course of action very obviously but it might just be a UX choice? Zwei Anmerk-Punkte (die für mich aber kein Abzug eines Sterns wert sind): 1. Das Spiel ist auf meinem Tablett SEHR dunkel (Gerät schon älter, Helligkeit auf Max.). Leider gibt es keine ‚Gamma‘-Einstellung, um da nachzuhelfen 2. Die Klötzchen-Grafik könnte ETWAS feiner sein. Einer meiner besten Käufe! Topimus Maximus! For instance, I have trouble interacting with the environment; just to pick up a key is not as responsive as it should be. Also, it’s difficult to know what objects in the game can you interact with. It’s a lot easier on the PC but on mobile, the cursor is very limited. You should consider adding the Icon Revealer feature like on the Nintendo Switch to make it an easier user experience. I’ll admit though, some of the puzzles drive me crazy sometimes. Though I do have a complaint: after the app loads, if you go to the episodes through the main menu the screen usually remains black. You can still interact with everything but it’s a pain when you’re trying to restart the episodes to play again. Also, the achievements don’t remain after you’ve obtained them. There is a bug in the game that prevents you from using the objects together which stops gameplay in its tracks. You cannot move forward in the game. I play Adventures since the late 80s and yes I nearly played them all since today, also most of the indie games. And The Last Door is truly a pure gem - the writing, the ambience, the dialogue, the whole story and lore, the extreme good puzzle, the music (oh my God the music!) - it is all a 10 out of 10! If you have and pleasure in good haunting of occult stories and the slightest please in some kind of Adventures - Play it! I changed my mind, season two is best. I found the story more engaging too. The game is longer. The story is told through scenes and conversations instead of having to read notes. You can see all items you can interact with by touching the screen with two fingers instead of having to probe the entire screen.
