## What is The Last Factory?

VEYRA-9 is dead. Three centuries of automated mining stripped the planet bare, and the rogue AUTON network silenced every factory but one. Yours.

The Last Factory is a build-and-defend factory sim. Lay out production chains, raise a power grid, research lost technology, and hold the line against escalating machine raids, on a hand-built world you uncover one chunk at a time.

BUILD
Drag modules onto the grid and chain them into flowing production lines. Mine ore, smelt ingots, forge alloy plate, print circuits, and feed it all into deeper tech. Belts, splitters, pipes, and smart routers move everything where it needs to go.

POWER
Stand up solar relays and reactor cores, then extend the grid with conduits. Manage cryo-coolant, ride out brownouts, and bank a surge buffer that keeps your turrets alive when the grid dips.

DEFEND
Every module you build makes you louder, and a bigger target. The AUTON network sends scouts and breakers in escalating raids. Emplace turrets, EMP emitters, and maintenance bots, and turn the wreckage into salvage.

RESEARCH
Signal Towers generate Research Points. Spend them in the blueprint tree to unlock tier after tier, compressed cells, neural cores, and a sample → data centre → R&D loop that researches permanent upgrades for the modules you already run.

DISCOVER
Out past the fog: collapsed archives, broken transit lines, a field-hospital shell. Each ruin carries a fragment of what happened here the week the factories went dark. And somewhere at the very end, one blueprint that isn't in the tree, found, not unlocked.

PREMIUM, NO TRICKS
Pay once, own everything. No ads. No in-app purchases. No energy timers. No battle pass. All future updates free.

MOBILE-FIRST
Drag to place. Pinch to zoom. Tap to rotate. Designed for one-handed play on any screen. Auto-saves into rotating slots, and keeps producing while you're away.

Hold the line. Power up. Outlast the static.

### 3/5 — promising but awkward

*2026-08-06*

This is not a lazy game. It has some unique elements. There is potential here. I do want to play more, but...

...the user interface is so horrible on touchscreen that I just cannot continue past the first couple of hours. It's really painful. For example every conveyer belt tile requires selecting the conveyer item type, placing it and rotating it. Every other element of the interface is just as clunky. If you're used to the slick interfaces in games like Shapez 2 and Factorio, that just doesn't cut it any more. The UI needs a total overhaul for this to be playable on a touchscreen.

(developer response: if the interface improves I'll definitely play some more! Let me know if you want playtesting/feedback)

**Developer response:** Thank you for the honest review. In the next updates we will address the issues with belt building and the other touch controls, making building easier and taking fewer taps across the whole interface. I hope you'll give it another look then. Feedback like yours genuinely shapes the game.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.2.1 — 2026-07-31

Version 1.2.1
- Fixed a bug with bended conveyor where it would extract item from the wrong side.
- Some better visual with weapons, visual improvement on various modules

### 1.2.0 — 2026-07-24

This is a pretty big one: artillery is now in, AUTON bases can be destroyed for salvage, and the new petro/vehicle chain is taking shape with Crude Petro, the Petrochemical Plant, Vehicle Bay, and pilotable scout vehicles.

We also improved factory logistics: Petro and Cryo-Coolant now behave as liquids through pipes, the Liquid Manifold supports both, build/upgrade costs are clearer, and the UI has had a big bunker-style polish pass.

On top of that, we added a re-readable Guides archive, smoother camera/vehicle controls, better no-ammo/no-power warnings, bulk Syndicate trades, repair mode fixes, and lots of bug fixes, saves, input, performance, and world generation.

### 1.1.1 — 2026-07-14

The Last Factory 1.1.1 - "Underground Movement"

Belts learn to cross.

The Underpass - a new underground belt that tunnels your items beneath other belts, machines, and terrain. Place two facing the same way and they auto-pair: the upstream one dives, the far one surfaces. Cross any line without a single spill.

Smoother by a mile - items now glide along belts at full frame rate, sweep real curves around corners, and ease in and out of machines. The old ten-hops-a-second stutter and corner overshoot are gone - at no extra cost to your factory.

See your world before you build it - the New Factory screen now previews the exact map you'll play: biomes, terrain, resource nodes, enemy bases, and your spawn. Don't like it? Reroll. The seed is right there.

Pick your fight - a new Hostiles setting scales AUTON base density from None to Overrun, and the default frontier is more dangerous than before. Deep territory now bites back.

The game finally teaches itself - How to Play is rebuilt as a clean overlay with a full list of every recipe (readable at last on phones), processors show their active recipe at a glance, and denied placements name the exact machine that makes the part you're missing.

Also in this update
- Meteoric Alloy nodes get all-new 3D art
- Older factories without craters can now trade for Meteoric Alloy and still finish the Chrono Project
- Fixed a world-gen case that could wall resource nodes off from every route
- Structural Frames, Optical Lenses, and Sensor Arrays now appear in the resource strip

### 1.1.0 — 2026-07-08

What's New in 1.1.0 - "Broken Ground"

NEW ITEMS
• Structural Frame - forged from Alloy Plate, the backbone of mid- and late-game construction
• Optical Lens - precision glasswork from the Fabricator
• Sensor Array - Lens + Circuit, assembled in the Forge Engine
• Meteoric Alloy - rare metal mined from asteroid cores inside impact craters (new maps)

RECIPE CHANGES (before → after)

Smelter
• Iron Ingot: 1 Iron Ore → 2 Iron Ore
• Glass: 1 Silica Dust → 2 Silica Dust

Workbench
• Repair Kit: 5 Iron Ingot → 3 Iron Ingot (cheaper!)

Alloy Forge (now configurable - tap to pick a recipe)
• Alloy Plate: 1 Iron Ingot + 1 Silica → 2 Iron Ingot + 1 Silica
• NEW: 3 Alloy Plate → 1 Structural Frame

Fabricator (now configurable)
• Circuit: 1 Alloy Plate + 1 Silica → 2 Alloy Plate + 1 Glass
• NEW: 2 Glass → 1 Optical Lens

Quantum Compressor
• Compressed Cell: 1 Alloy Plate + 1 Coolant → 3 Alloy Plate + 2 Coolant

Forge Engine (now configurable)
• Neural Core: 1 Circuit + 1 Compressed Cell → 2 Circuits + 1 Compressed Cell + 1 Frame
• NEW: 1 Optical Lens + 1 Circuit → 1 Sensor Array

BUILD COSTS REBALANCED
Late-game modules now call for Frames, Lenses, and Sensor Arrays. The Chronorail endgame is far cheaper in raw plates and circuits but needs the new parts, and the Capsule Bay now requires 10 Meteoric Alloy, so you'll need to breach a crater.

ALSO IN THIS UPDATE
• New terrain on new maps: impact craters, cliff ridgelines, and living rivers
• Unlimited save slots with strategic map previews
• Build tray organized into categories, plus a new research dashboard
• Positional sound effects, and a fix for SFX going silent after starting a New Factory

Your existing saves load fine, new terrain appears on new factories only.
