### 4/5 — Search Function

*2018-09-02, version 4.0.5*

Great app but the search function fails to do anything. I’m connected to internet but even when I search something as basic as Plains it does not work and I’ve purchased the pro version! Will give 5 star when fixed.

### 4/5 — Top choice

*2016-12-08, version 4.0.2*

Has everything you need except Partners for EDH. There is a bug that makes it impossible to undo commander damage though and that can be frustrating. Can't figure out how to inflict commander damage on yourself in a 1v1 match either.
Otherwise ya wonderful!

### 4/5 — Settings

*2015-07-19, version 3.7.2*

The lite version is useful, but ads cover up sections of the screen and render them useless. It also crashes when you try to change the background image. All-in-all, a very solid app for life counting.

### 3/5 — Useful but finnicky

*2015-01-28, version 3.6.4*

The app is very useful for keeping track of turns, life, stats, etc. it does have a few bugs, such as a weird tic about the order of the players and no way that I've seen to undo a turn. Also, it drains battery life at an incredible speed - I closed out of every app on my IPad, put it on airplane mode AND plugged it in, and the battery life was still going down.

### 5/5 — Best one I found

*2014-10-29, version 3.6.4*

I'm able to use it to track my plainswalkers loyalty points. That is the main reasons why I prefer it over the others. It looks clear and its easy to read. Graphics are way better than the others I'v tried. Try this one before you spend money on other life counter apps.

### 5/5 — Hopeful updates

*2014-05-23, version 3.6.2*

Hi, I love this app but I ran into some trouble hitting the next button, so a more defined button or slightly larger activation area-I have large hands which makes it difficult to hit it. My friends at the college and our local game store are looking for something that will help us play team games like like emperor, an edh based game with teams consisting of three players. Or horde which is similar to two-headed dragon but it consists of 4-30 players sharing life, phases, and personal effects. so I thought instead of going through the trouble of creating more and more types of game types you could simply create a team tab that would allow you to put how many players are on a team -1-17 going by your current player max-, wether a slide to turn on or off life is share on the different teams -this is a handicap sometimes done for new players-, a slide to turn on or off it teams share a turn, and finally team names and colors as well as individual names would be cool.

my reason for having a teams having as few as one member and as many as 17 is because this will allow almost all multiplayer team games with out creating a button for every type of multi player- multi team game, such as Archenemy, dragon wars, clan wars, and co-op.

I hope you take this into consideration,
From,
Medducea

### 5/5 — Great at tracking life in EDH

*2014-04-18, version 3.6.2*

The multiplayer display is excellent for the Commander format

### 5/5 — Great magic app

*2014-03-31, version 3.6.2*

This is a great magic app. It's simple and very good at what it does. Stats are cool, multiplayer.

### 5/5 — Nice job!

*2014-02-20, version 3.6.2*

I like the things you have on the app. You NEED to have a single player mode. This will help me big time. You should add a feature where players can team up against another team and to have 2 vs 1, 3 vs 1, etc. IF you could I would love it you could add a circle of health around the number of the players health. You need to let us decide which player goes 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc. I want you to add a "Yugioh" setting so we can start with 2000, 4000, 8000, etc., or a custom amount😃😊😉

### 5/5 — Great tool

*2013-12-28, version 3.6.2*

It is easy to use and convenient. It stores all your stats of your decks separately and is good at it.

### 5/5 — Great tool!

*2013-12-03, version 3.6.2*

I really like this tool, it works very well. But would make some features that would make an even better tool. To be able to have each player use their own device to keep score, keep track of players stats by deck, and a little UI improvement, maybe to make it look a little more like the MTG 2014 ipad game... Just some ideas.

### 2/5 — Useful app but visually revolting

*2013-10-29, version 3.6.1*

The app itself is probably the best M:tG counter on the App Store and the pro version is worth the expense.
I've experienced a few bugs where games haven't saved into the stats report, which I hope will be fixed sooner rather than later.
The thing I can't get over though is just how dire the UI/UX is. The dated graphics from the previous design are still apparent through its "iOS7" upgrade, which here is interpreted as slapping a blue/green gradient on the background.

### 5/5 — Great App! But...

*2013-09-23, version 3.6*

...would love to have a more sleek, stylish skin option to fit in with the rest of the iPhone's interface. Less overdone font and whatnot.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — No new update

*2019-12-16, version 4.0.5*

Very buggy makes duplicates of decks does not always keep track of history. Cannot look up cards would not recommend to pay for it since seems the developers have abandon this app.

### 1/5 — Hope you like ads

*2017-05-21, version 4.0.5*

Because that's all you'll see. We're talking full page adds that you have to interact with before you can do anything. Kind of annoying when you're trying to play a card game, I would say.

### 1/5 — Terrible 'improvement'.

*2016-11-22, version 4.0.2*

The old "Little Helper" was much more intuitive and easier to use. This new version doesn't work well on smaller phone screens. Stupid name change. What a disappointment...

### 1/5 — Ugghhh

*2016-09-28, version 4.0*

Agreed. Was a great app before the update. Hope they change it back. PLEASE CHANGE IT BACK!

### 1/5 — Pretty bad now

*2016-09-08, version 4.0*

Lots of problems with the app since the update. The life manipulator is really ugly too.

### 1/5 — In app purchases ruin this good app

*2013-04-12, version 3.5*

Would be good if it didn't trick you into buying the better version

### 1/5 — Upgrade

*2013-03-11, version 3.5*

I upgraded to pro, the app locked up. After restarting the app and then restarting the iPad to no avail I tried reinstalling the app. It then worked but the pro features are gone and I see no way of reinstalling them without paying again.

### 1/5 — It will crash as u start

*2012-07-27, version 3.0.1*

It is a good idea but what's the point if you can not even start a new game?

### 2/5 — Just not a good upgrade

*2016-12-02, version 4.0.2*

The old counter had a few bugs, but did need this complete overhaul. It's not user friendly or visually appealing. In addition, I paid for Pro and now I have basic again. When I try to restore, the game just shuts down. Not paying twice the $$ for an app I like less than the original.

### 2/5 — Doesn't work

*2015-01-11, version 3.6.4*

I like all the options you have on this app compared to others (add your name, colors of your deck, etc.) but after I purchased the pro features THE APP CRASHES EVERY TIME I TRY TO PLAY A GAME. it works on my iPad, but not my phone. PLEASE FIX THIS STUPID BUG BECAUSE IT WAS KIND OF A WASTE OF MONEY IF I CANT EVEN USE IT

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Great for more than just keeping track of Life Points

*2019-08-18, version 4.0.5*

This app is great for any Magic player. Obviously, the ability to easily keep track of Life Points and Commander damage in EDH is awesome, especially for forgetful people such as myself. The other awesome thing about this app is that it keeps track of statistics for players AND decks you add to it. This can help any novice or veteran player see which of their decks perform well and which don’t. It even keeps track of average damage dealt and absorbed for them.

### 5/5 — Best Magic Life App, but...

*2019-05-19, version 4.0.5*

So i use this app mainly for EDH because that seems to be what it’s designed for and it’s great, especially because it also seems to keep a record of the entire game as it goes on and as you play.

The only problem I currently have with it, and I’m using the upgraded version, is that it seems to no longer be able to search up commander cards which was very useful in keeping track of decks. I wish they’d update it to reimplement the feature as it kind of was one of their selling points for upgrading.

### 5/5 — Must have!

*2017-07-18, version 4.0.5*

This app is an amazing lift counter. They're bringing future damage options in future updates AND the customer service is great. Pay the $2.99. It's worth it.

### 5/5 — Do it!

*2017-02-07, version 4.0.5*

Just needs more tuneup and a different way to get to card search, but other than that it's pretty nice , stats are pretty cool too :)

### 5/5 — Outstanding value!

*2016-06-08, version 3.8*

This is the app to have! $2.99 for pro is a great value for the skins, and storing decks to keep stats. Even shares to social media for you.

### 5/5 — Great App.

*2016-05-20, version 3.8*

Downloaded this morning for a Tournament my friend is hosting in Band today, loving it. Plan on using it when I start hosting Friday Night Magic in a few weeks. Skins look nice too, worth the Pro Upgrade.

### 5/5 — Perfect MTG Helper

*2015-11-10, version 3.8*

Does everything you want when playing EDH or anything MTG related. Easy to use and awesome statistics for each player and deck.

### 5/5 — Worth the buy

*2015-05-17, version 3.7*

Loved it! I got it for free and it was enough, when I saw what it could do, bought the hole thing! Thank you and keep up the great job!

### 5/5 — Best of All

*2015-03-09, version 3.6.4*

I tried out several mtg life counter apps and found this one to stand head and shoulders above the rest. It is easily the most comprehensive and user friendly, even as the free version!

I use it at weekly tournaments as well as home play and have never had a problem with it glitching or draining my battery by much at all. And there is a great side bar with a d6 roller, coin flip, undo button, and a card search bar that will bring up all the information you need about a card.

I adore this app as a free version and decided to go pro mostly to support the developers of this great piece of software. I highly recommend it.

### 5/5 — Starting

*2014-12-26, version 3.6.4*

Please try and make it to where you can chose who goes first. You have to hit random in order it to pick who goes first. Or at least that's what I have to do in order for it to decide who goes first. Then I can set the order on who goes next.
