## What is The Lobster App?

The Lobster app is designed to make it easier to find gigs and music artists in your area, and discover new music. We want to give a platform for small and emerging artists to share their original music with an audience that loves discovering and supporting new music, live gigs and small venues. The App allows artists to upload their music and gig dates, and fans to play music and search for artists and gigs in their local area. The Lobster app also gives small and grassroots venues a platform to upload upcoming gigs.     

With so many smaller and grassroots venues closing and emerging artists increasingly fighting against algorithms and AI, we wanted to do something to try to protect the live music ecosystem. We want to keep creativity, pay on the door, special sticky floors, passion, seeing your mates band, merch on pub tables, community, personality, borrowing a spare mic and all the things that make these spaces and these artists so irreplaceable.
