## What is The Log?

Stop over-offering and second-guessing yourself…and become a potty pro (or at least better than you were last week!) with this app.

Whether you are potty training your toddler or doing elimination communication (EC or infant potty training) with your 0-18 month baby, you need this app!

Observation time is key for knowing your little one’s natural timing intervals (how often s/he goes potty) and keeping track of any baby signals (or “peepee dances”) you see.

But forget that printable log you got from my website! You can now digitally track how often your baby pees or poops during observation time, or potty training, with ease.

If you’ve wondered:

“How often does my baby pee or poop?”

“When should I offer the potty to my little one?”

“If I want to set a potty time reminder on my phone, how long should I set it for?”

…The Log is your answer.

No more paper printouts and chicken-scratch logging, no more guessing “how often does my little actually pee or poop?”…now you can simply open the app and, starting at either waking or feeding, track how often your baby or toddler goes. Then download a PDF of your results.

*You can also take a note of your little one’s signals or other observations by long-pressing the activity button, as you go.

After starting potty training, or if you’re doing EC…after a few hours of observation time (or a few days if you’re really inquisitive)…visit the Reports screen to easily see your baby’s intervals in graph or written format.

Set a potty time alarm based on your baby’s actual timing intervals, so your smart phone can remind you throughout the day when to offer a “pottytunity” - or chance to go potty.

If you have a toddler you’re potty training or wrapping up EC with, you can use this app to set an alarm based on your observations - welcome to your new potty training alarm app!

Track one or more babies, keep the logs separate, and easily re-set the data to start a new observation sesh any time (I recommend you re-log your child’s rhythms every few months or so to keep it fresh!).

Stop over-offering and second-guessing yourself…and become a potty pro (or at least better than you were last week!) with this app.

Developed by me, Andrea Olson, author of Go Diaper Free and The Tiny Potty Training Book, whose 5 children were all out of diapers by walking, none requiring potty trained…a mom who has hardly had to change a poopy diaper and has saved over $10,000 in diapers across their babyhoods…you’re in good hands when it comes to observing your baby for elimination communication. Learn more at godiaperfree.com or via the app, itself.

PS - if you’re stinking at potty training, learn more with the free classes inside the app. If you don’t know what EC is, it’s the natural alternative to diaper dependence and potty training, and it starts as early as birth to 18 months. It’s what people have done for all of human history, long before diapers were invented. We also have a free class and books on that.

### 3/5 — Love the idea, needs an update

*2026-02-06, version 1.1.5*

I’ve EC’ed for quite a while and followed a lot of Andrea’s advice. It’s time to ditch diapers now, so I downloaded this app to make the process easier. Unfortunately, it’s not well suited to iPhones and it’s very difficult to edit the date. Editing past events doesn’t actually save the correct time. An update would probably solve all these issues.

### 3/5 — Needs work and fine tuning but I am using it anyways

*2025-09-21, version 1.1.5*

Need to allow editing of TIME activity happened even though we can add a note to more accurately describe events BUT not helpful with the timing and countdown/count ups. I would also agree with other user to add button to log DRINK or fluids. Make this APP useable with Family sharing so other parent/caregiver can have same synced log to add to and view. I also think a dedicated note text box should be allowed with each button pressed. Noting is somewhat tricky and finicky. Rename REPORT to Event Log or HISTORY so we better understand that this is a listed log of events and NOT us trying to “report something” about or to developer.
Thanks for listening!

### 4/5 — so hard to sign up for

*2025-01-01, version 1.1.5*

I like this app and it's features and I have feature suggestions maybe add a sleep button a drink button and you need to fix the app sign up process that sign up thing has got to be the most complicated thing to sign up for the sign in with google apple and facebook doesn't work at all but other then that the app works really well just try to fix your sign up and maybe add those features

### 1/5 — Potty

*2024-01-16*

You need to do more potty you need to show home having accidents and mommy and daddy helping home get cleaned up like show them wiping there tush and show them having a poopy accident on the floor my ten year old still makes in a diaper can you make something for her thanks

### 5/5 — Awesome app!

*2023-02-24*

I absolutely love this app, it has helped me so much with timing for EC (elimination communication aka. early potty training) with my 18 month old son. Both the log for pees/poos from wake up and/or feeding time helps so much to get an understanding of your baby’s natural potty times. And the timer is my favourite part! After using the log for a couple weeks and figuring out my baby peed ~30min after drinking, I set the timer and it reminds me every 30min. You can adjust timer up and down to suit your baby. I also did EC with my daughter but didn’t have this app back then and this app has helped me SO much! Way less misses and less pee on the floor, and happier, drier baby and mama! Thank you so much Andrea, you’ve done it again.

### 3/5 — Timer does not work

*2022-06-06, version 1.1.0*

I set the timer to 50 mins and it never worked, my LO ended up peeing in her training pants anyway. Do not rely on this app to tell you when to remind your child as it does not work, you are on your own.

### 4/5 — Nap Feature?

*2022-06-03, version 1.1.0*

Super helpful app so far. I’d love it if this app had a nap button to log how long my little one is sleeping. I’d definitely give it 5 stars if it did!

### 5/5 — Must have baby care app for EC

*2022-02-28, version 1.0.9*

This is the app I’ve been looking for! Thank you so much, it’s really helped our EC practice 👍

### 3/5 — Helpful, but hoping for some improvements in coming weeks/months

*2022-02-23, version 1.0.9*

I really like the idea of this app, especially as I’m really focusing o. Observation time with my 4 month old this week.

Two recommendations: there seems to be an issue with the “when” on the observation log. I’m getting things like “2022-15-23.” Not sure at all what that’s supposed to mean.

Second, I like that you can backlog info but it’d be nice if the backlogged info would show up in the observation chart in the order it happened, rather than the order that you input them. I find that in the moment I often don’t have time to update the app each time she does something and need to input that data later, but then the log is all out of order.

Overall I’m pleased with the app, and considering its new still, I’m excited to see the improvements that will hopefully come!

### 5/5 — Perfect Timing

*2022-02-18, version 1.0.9*

I was just thinking I wanted to start an observation log for my 3 month old baby and then I got an email announcing this app. I downloaded it immediately and can’t wait to put it to use. Thank you for making EC one step simpler!!
