Seems like anytime you pause or go to another app you have to suffer through the advertisement again. Occasionally you can’t get out of the advertising page. I’d rather just stream this off their site then use a terrible app like this ### 1/5 — Temu took over *2023-05-20* I listen to The Loop app on my Apple IPhone and it’s prefect. I listen to it in the car and through the app on my phone at home. Until a couple weeks ago… Temu is a company that offers crap shipped from China. On the app for The Loop I expect an ad and let the music play. Now, I get stuck between Temu and a different ad (which I clicked & it’s also Temu). They are separated by the tiniest “x” that I can’t help but click on either app (Temu) to continue. It opens a new web browser everytime I do this. I deleted The Loop app an re-downloaded it three times with the same outcome. Looks like I’m back to Pandora, and The Loop app on my phone is totally gone. ### 1/5 — original Chicago native now relocated *2020-10-15* I can no longer listen! app forced update. update will not install on iOS 7. thanks for dropping us. Cumulus ### 1/5 — No Mancow *2019-02-12* Wake me up when they bring Mancow back! ### 5/5 — RIP The Loop 97.9 WLUP *2018-03-10* While the terrestrial station switched to Christian Rock at Midnight on March 10th, the app is supposed to keep playing Rock&Rock indefinitely. No issues with commercials since they made the announcement, music plays right away, in background, HQ, no issues. Only thing missing is the Chicago touch, the DJs, the talent, the talk. 97.9 WLUP may be gone, but it’s spirit will live on. ### 1/5 — Garbage. Do not download. *2017-11-29* Absolute garbage. If you want to listen to nothing but commercials on an endless loop, this is your app. Stay away from this rubbish. Would have left a negative amount of stars if I could.... ### 1/5 — App is garbage.... *2017-11-09* If you enjoy continuously listening to the same thing over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again, then this app is for you. When the adds hit, they stay annoyingly playing like the memory of farting in front of your first love right before having sex. Mancow’s show is nothing but amazing. Unfortunately it’s the exact opposite for this app. You’ll be lucky if you can hear the shows, otherwise prepare yourself for enjoying adds that repeat themselves over and over. ### 1/5 — Terrible app *2017-10-08* The ads get stuck in a loop (no pun intended). When you think the ads are done after 15 minutes then an ad will keep replaying over and over. ### 1/5 — Terrible (update) *2017-01-31* Worst app. When you start it up all you get are commercials. I'm not talking one or two either. I timed it this morning, I listened to 25 minutes of commercials before I actually heard radio programming. And a lot of the commercials are played multiple times in a row like it got stuck in a loop, no pun intended. Still the worst. I deleted it and am using the I heart Radio app. Soooooo much better. Normal amount of commercials and the sound quality is even better.
