The app is absolute garbage and lacks any ability to do anything if it won't connect. One of the worst UI's to try and navigate. Also, I could not get the Port information to show up after trying to use the support button. I have some questions I would like to ask before buying this product. As I mentioned in a previous review, I do not like to get products and then immediately have to return them. Also, how am I going to troubleshoot what is going on during a cook without a phone number I can use? This does not demonstrate a well-thought-out support system. The app is easy to set up, but looking at it to cook with, many buttons are unlabeled, so you don't know what you're pressing if you use a screen reader such as VoiceOver on iOS. Therefore, I don't know how easy this app is going to be for blind people to use it. Would appreciate some fixes from the debs thank you so much ### 2/5 — Not great right now *2025-05-03, version 1.1.102* The stick aside, the app is awful. It’s schizophrenic, and invasive and has several problems that I will list for the developers: First, why even allow us to use it without signing in, if you’re going to pop up the sign in window on every single action. Also, I tried both the Google and Apple OpenID options, and neither worked after several attempts. Finally had to just email login. The alerts and pop ups are insane. If one pops up then 15 more will as well all saying the same thing. It’s like a 90s spam virus. One is enough. The temperature display bounces back and forth from the actual temperature and like ambient temperature. It hurts my head. Either display both side-by-side or pick one. I hate having to wait and catch it at the exact moment it takes the measurement. Smaller things: why can’t I rename the stick, the Bluetooth/wifi stuff with the extender is glitchy, the repeated firmware updates are excessive, the UI in general is too much, and the tutorial is just annoying not helpful. Simplify and improve the app or just ship a small device that displays what it transmits instead. ### 1/5 — Pure junk *2024-12-25, version 1.1.095* My wife got me one for Christmas a couple of years ago. One of the sticks (green one) arrived defective—it would not charge. One of the charging stands would not do anything but show a green LED. The WiFi extender has a limit of 20 characters on the WiFi password so I had to set up another network for it. The first time I tried to use the product (red stick) the app told me the battery needed charging even though I had put a full charge on it two days before and stored it in the product pouch. Nothing seems to work. People who aren’t actually interested in grabbing their thermometer and just using it. If you want that you’re SOL. However if you’re more into picking about 75 settings, seeing 45 warnings, and having to use an account just to tell what temp your meat is…THIS IS THE APP FOR YOU!
