Total is 3/5 stars. ### 3/5 — Horrible UI, great films *2022-10-06, version 14.710* Every time I load this app I get hit with ultra right wing extremist commercials, so it’s clear I have to restore my purchase in order to not see commercials. So I do that, but there are still commercials. Look. There are standard apple interfaces for channels, possibly too many, but this app should be using the one that Arrow and Criterion use, or, on the bottom end, the one that Night Flight and Shudder use. This one is a nightmare. Is there a way to at least program them to appear in a somewhat natural spot? They happen not only in the middle of scenes, but in the middle of shots. Several times they appeared again after just 30 seconds of program. It’s too much. A once expansive library is now reduced to scraps and also-rans. Rolling the KC subs under this and not auto cancelling was particularly shady as it is far from the same product. ### 1/5 — Ruined fun site. *2023-09-27* In this make over of Kino Cult they completely ruined it. Took off all the fun films. Took away the streaming channel and added movies that can be found other places. Had so much promise with the Kino Lober Library but have not taken advantage of it. ### 1/5 — Kino Cult *2023-08-31* They used to have a wide selection of movies available to watch on their site, but it seems to be down now, so I downloaded the app, and found a really, really limited selection of movies — and only a very few of this new, limited selection look worth watching. I would rate this app even lower (half star), if possible; I have seen several of these movies before, and I probably could see the others that look interesting to me in an evening or two. Ugh; I’ll probably just delete this app if they don’t get more/better movies ASAP — it’s pretty much a waste of space for now. ### 1/5 — Kino Cult *2023-08-12* They used to have a wide selection of movies available to watch on their site, but it seems to be down now, so I downloaded the app, and found a really, really limited selection of movies. ### 1/5 — Unresponsive customer service *2023-07-09* Over the past month, almost all the movies have disappeared from the channel. Right now, there are a total of 20 movies. I’ve written to them several times to ask what’s going on and no reply so I am cancelling my premium account and looking elsewhere for this sort of content. ### 1/5 — I can hardly view the live stream on my iPhone *2022-12-09, version 14.710* Lately all I can watch is a thumbnail size of the movie in the live stream. No full screen. There’s all sorts of junk in the background, & often the movie is off center & cut off. I understand that you need to make money but every 10 minutes is excessive. A 90 minute movie is now close to two and a half hours! It’s a shame because this is a great app. The ad overkill is too much to endure. Then when I was told it was available for download it won’t allow me to download it at all and showing as purchased but it’s no where on my Apple TV or iPhone. More of an Appstore problem, than a problem with the actual app... since I can’t install it. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work *2021-10-06, version 14.501* Says it integrated with the Apple TV app and has now just disappeared completely other than saying it’s downloaded from the App Store. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Love that has Lina Wertmuller’s films!! *2023-04-21* I’m a big fan of her films, it would be great if you could add more of her fantastic work (please?)! ### 5/5 — I love the app *2023-01-03, version 14.710* And also, I also love watching just Franco’s strange, obsessions collection, I would love to see more of his films, here on the app, there’s a movie from Jess Franco, that I would love to see hear on the app called Lorna, the exorcist, and I also love to watch Mondo bizarro one and two, I would love to see Mondo films here on the app, tool, and maybe have some movies channel like the Grindhouse movie channel, and the drive-in, classics movie channel, and there’s also a movie I recommend called the killer is not alone, which came out in 1975, and also maybe create another move a movie channel called digest, how about a movie channel called the Jess Franco, movie, channel, or all of his movies will be on there streaming 24 seven, I think you’ll be pretty cool, so keep adding more movies on the app, I was browsing one day on my iPad and I foundkinocult I browse the app and it has a great selection of grind house and drive in classic movies such as beware of the blob! I love the other titles here such as the Asian extreme collection I would love to see this streaming service grow and I would love to see more of those exploitation and grind house films here plus I would love to see the films that were directed by William Girdler! I love the streaming service but there’s some movies that I would recommend one I would recommend the asylum of Satan which was directed by William Girdler and there’s another one that I like called three on a meat hook! And also maybe have a drive-in Classics collection so keep adding more those movies and keep growing and keep updating the app I also love this service because I don’t need to pay for a monthly or yearly annual year subscription in my opinion this is the best for Grindhouse movies in exploitation films in CULT horror films Great service keep it up keep updating it and keep adding more movies!!!!!! ### 5/5 — How is this real? *2022-08-30, version 14.710* If you’d’ve told me a channel like this exists… and that it doesn’t cost nothin’, I never woulda believed you.
