## What is The Mill Yard?

Hops Kitchen's cuisine can be described as the culmination of the tastes, smells, and sights that I experienced traveling and living in Southeast Asia, Central America, Southern Florida, New Mexico, Colorado, Ohio, and now Virginia. My years spent as head chef for several large resorts including, Taos Ski Valley (Taos, New Mexico) and The Boardwalk (Put In Bay, Ohio), have sharpened my tools as not only a chef, but a creator. My plan as the owner and operator of Hops Kitchen is to bring my experiences and tools to the plate in order to serve you. Through my travels, I have learned that it is best to utilize the resources closest to me in order to obtain sustainability.

## Key features

- Globally inspired cuisine
- Southeast Asian flavors
- Central American influences
- Sustainable sourcing
- Locally sourced ingredients
- Chef's personal experiences

### 1/5 — Disaster of an app.

*2022-10-08, version 4.009.002*

Lol review does not even work right.

### 1/5 — Difficult

*2022-09-16, version 4.009.002*

More secure than trying to log into my
Bank accounts.

### 1/5 — Not quite a minimum viable product

*2021-05-17, version 3.10.0002*

As a user when I select “Takeout” in the initial journey of the app I want the kitchen to know to put my food on a COVERED to-go container so that when I go pick it up I don’t see it on a public table uncovered during g a pandemic where only 36% of the state is fully vaccinated and have the kitchen tell me I should have told them it was a to go order (there is no place to comment it is to go / takeout - the only thing a user can do is to do what I did and select takeout). I left a 20% gratuity while using the app - I’m not even sure I feel safe eating this food. That is a really pathetic user experience.

As a user I want to schedule my pickup time so that I don’t have to have my food sitting around while I drive to get it (you don’t want users driving and using the app either) - there is one default time for takeout- way too limited.

As a user I want push notifications not texts when my food is ready so that it’s all in app and I’m not juggling between apps.

As a user I want to be able to comment on orders so that I can say make order vegan by leaving the cheese off.

As a user downloading the app I want to see just one app so that I’m not confused over what app I should use.

As a user when I click remember me I want it to remember me so that I don’t have to sign on and see the app restart after I already created a cart.

IMHO this app shouldn’t have been released quite yet I hope this feedback improves it. All the best- the food and the place is amazing I feel the app doesn’t portray that wonderful experience.

### 3/5 — User Experience Review

*2020-06-13, version 3.4.1001*

1) The first thing I noted was that the download time of this application was extremely heavy due to the front loading of pictures and no use of an API

2) The navigation scheme is was cross platform and didn’t have the hamburger menu on the left side which both the HIG and Material Design Guidelines have set as an industry standard. Rather it was in pace of where settings should have been.

3) The user login/signin and token experience was prompted as I was checking out for my food and wasn’t disclosed prior. There was no option to checkout as a guest and would have rather not had to provide my a email address.

The app experience could have been been better but wasn’t bad. The food itself was great.

### 5/5 — Hops Kitchen on Fire🤩

*2020-05-21, version 1.3*

Loved the food app worked great. They sure know what they’re doing. I do not know any small business that compares to the advanced technology they use. Ahead of the trade.

I’m already close to a free Award Winning Brewery Crafted Nacho.

Wish them the best of luck!

Use the app for “No Contact” service. 👍

### 5/5 — PRN
